Abstract

ABSTRACTIntroduction: The main complaint of patients with Gout Arthritis is pain problems. Bat to treat joint pain problems in the elderly with Gout Arthritis in total still does not exist, but there are many treatment options to relieve symptoms can be done. Giving warm compresses using cinnamon spices (cinnamomun burmani) containing eugenol and cinamaldehid can reduce the sensitivity of the nociceptor, so as to relieve pain symptoms. This study aimed to analyze the administration of cinnamon compresses in the elderly with Gout Arthritis with chronic pain nursing problems.Methods: This research uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. Samples used by 2 elderly people with Gout Arthritis using the format of family nursing care assessment, and pain scale assessment. The application of cinnamon compress is done for 4x a week using cinnamon liquid as much as 2 ml, with 200 cc of water, at a temperature of 40-450C, followed by compress for 15-20 minutes using a washlap. Data was analyzed using descriptive analysisResults: After applying cinnamon compresses four times a week, the study showed a decrease in pain intensity before and after the intervention was given to the two subjects. The subject's pain intensity decreased from moderate pain intensity to mild pain.Conclusion: The application of cinnamon compresses is effective in reducing the intensity of Gout Arthritis pain.Keywords: Cinnamon; Compress; Gout Arthritis; Painful

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan potensi lokal melalui pelatihan pengolahan nanas sebagai upaya penguatan ekonomi keluarga di Desa Midar. Sasaran kegiatan adalah kaum perempuan, khususnya ibu rumah tangga, yang memiliki peran strategis dalam menopang perekonomian keluarga. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif berbasis pelatihan praktik langsung yang meliputi tahap observasi potensi kebun nanas, pelatihan pembuatan selai nanas, serta pembuatan bolu lapis selai nanas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam mengolah produk pangan berbasis nanas serta tumbuhnya kesadaran akan peluang usaha rumah tangga. Produk yang dihasilkan memiliki potensi nilai ekonomi lebih tinggi dibandingkan penjualan buah segar. Program ini berkontribusi terhadap pemberdayaan perempuan melalui penguatan kapasitas keterampilan dan membuka peluang pengembangan usaha kecil berbasis potensi lokal. Keberlanjutan program memerlukan pendampingan lanjutan dalam aspek pemasaran dan pengelolaan usaha agar manfaat ekonomi dapat dirasakan secara berkelanjutan oleh masyarakat. This community service program aims to optimize local potential through pineapple processing training as an effort to strengthen family economic resilience. The program targets women, particularly housewives, who play a strategic role in supporting household income. The method employed is a participatory approach based on hands-on training, including observation of local pineapple resources, training in pineapple jam production, and the preparation of layered pineapple cake. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ skills in processing pineapple-based food products and an increased awareness of small-scale business opportunities. The processed products have higher economic value compared to selling fresh pineapples. This program contributes to women’s empowerment by enhancing practical skills and creating opportunities for home-based enterprises rooted in local resources. Sustainable impact requires continued assistance in marketing and basic business management to ensure long-term economic benefits for the community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the types of difficulties, the causative factors, and provide solutions to overcome the difficulties in solving physics problems with temperature and heat matter. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study, a sample of 30 students, taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the analysis of the test data found the proportion of difficulties in understanding the questions that is equal to 80.3%, difficulty using symbols at 76.2%, difficulty using the formula at 84%, difficulty analyzing graphics at 65% and difficulty at counting at 90%. Based on the results of interviews and questionnaires, the factors causing students to have difficulty understanding the questions are students not understanding the purpose and objectives of the questions, lack of student understanding of the material, students rarely repeat the material that has been learned at home and students are lazy to practice working on the problems. The cause of difficulty using symbols is students forget about physics symbols and students remember symbols by memorizing instead of understanding them. The cause of difficulty using, because students are not interested and feel complicated with the problems contained in the formula, students do not master the material concepts well. The cause of difficulties in analyzing graphs is that students do not understand the purpose of the graph, students feel complicated and are not interested in the problems contained in the graph. The reason for arithmetic difficulties is that students are not interested in counting problems, students are not careful in calculating, students have difficulty doing arithmetic operations, and teachers rarely give varied problems. Conclusion, this problem can be overcome by frequently reading reference books, more diligent in doing the assignments given by the teacher, more active practice of physics problems at home, more concentrated when analyzing graphs and not in a hurry, students must often practice calculation problems so that the skills counting can increase.
