Abstract

To improve environmental health and address the issue of domestic fecal sludge waste, it is essential to treat the waste using an environmentally friendly organic oxidizing material, BIOSEL-SR2020. This study examines the effect of adding BIOSEL-SR2020 to reduce the physicochemical content of fecal sludge at the Puulonggida sludge treatment plant (STP) in Kendari City and its potential as a component of organic fertilizer. The environmental condition of Puulonggida STP shows that the air quality around the STP is excellent. The area is far from residential zones and features numerous trees, which help transform the toxic gases produced by septage treatment. The application of BIOSEL-SR2020 to septage solids significantly alters and enhances the chemical elements in the septage. Oxide composition data, such as MgO, Al2O3, SiO2, and CaO—soil components—indicate that BIOSEL-SR2020 application significantly improves chili plant growth compared to commercial organic fertilizer and untreated samples. Furthermore, treating fecal sludge liquids with BIOSEL-SR2020 affects the pH, maintaining a standard range of 7.06 - 7.13. The Dissolved Oxygen (DO) value increases slightly, and the fecal liquid’s salinity indicates no mineral salts. BIOSEL-SR2020 also demonstrates antibacterial properties, reducing bacterial colonies by an average of 26%. The most prevalent bacteria, Klebsiella sp., and Pseudomonas sp. are effective in decomposing fecal organic matter at the Puulonggida STP. In conclusion, BIOSEL-SR2020 effectively enhances the physicochemical properties of fecal sludge and holds potential as a mixture in organic fertilizers, significantly benefiting plant growth and environmental health.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Firm Size, Return on Assets (ROA), and Price Book Value (PBV) on Stock Prices at PT Adaro Energy Tbk, a company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, specifically PT Adaro Energy Tbk for the period 2014–2023. This is a quantitative study using linear regression analysis. Data were processed using SPSS software version 26. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling based on specific criteria. The results of the partial test (t-test) indicate that Firm Size has a positive and significant effect on Stock Price with a calculated t-value of 4.778 > table t-value of 1.860 and significance of 0.001 < 0.05. Meanwhile, ROA has a positive and significant effect on Stock Price with a calculated t-value of 7. 085 > t-table 1.860 and significance 0.000 <0.05. Similarly, PBV also has a positive and significant effect on Stock Price with t-count 2.766 > t-table 1.860 and significance 0.024 <0.05. The simultaneous test (F-test) shows that the three independent variables together have a significant effect on Stock Price, with F-calculated 98.031 > F-table 4.35 and significance 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) value of 0.970 indicates that 97% of the variation in Stock Price can be explained by Firm Size, ROA, and PBV. This study shows that internal factors play an important role in determining the share price of PT Adaro Energy Tbk. These results can be used as a reference for investors in making decisions based on the company's financial indicators.

Abstract

Organic waste generation is the remains of materials originating from living things, both plants and animals, resulting from human activities or natural processes and can be decomposed biologically. Vermicomposting is the process of decomposing organic waste with the help of earthworms which produces a better end product called Vermicast. This study evaluated the generation of organic vegetable and fruit waste in Pasar Panjang, the quality of compost from vermicomposting with and without finished compost and the reduction of organic waste. Samples were taken from 4 out of 57 stalls using the SNI 19 3964 1994 sampling method. The results of the analysis showed that the generation of organic vegetable and fruit waste reached 10,463 kg per stall per day with a volume of 13,973 liters per stall per day. The composition of the waste consisted of 75.345% vegetable waste and 24.655% fruit waste, with a density of 0.751 kg/L. The quality of compost produced from the vermicomposting method with and without the addition of finished compost shows the results of the parameters: color, odor, and particle size, temperature, water content of C-organic and N-organic meet the standards, SNI while pH and C/N ratio do not meet the SNI standards. In terms of effectiveness, the use of vermicomposting without the addition of finished compost shows a higher level of reduction in organic waste generation, which is 53.3%, compared to the use of finished compost which only reaches 36.8%.

Abstract

Waste can cause problems that until now have not been resolved in waste management. Waste management that has not been implemented optimally can later affect the condition of the surrounding environment. Waste that has not been managed properly and the increasing rate of waste generation can reflect the existence of a waste management system that has not been carried out effectively and still requires a structured waste management method. The aim of this research is waste management, which collects, transports and disposes of waste, now will change to a new paradigm through management at the place of origin or waste management site in the form of a Waste Processing Facility (TPS) using the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) Method. The results of this study indicate that the amount of waste generated in the Rajawali Reseidence housing complex is a waste weight of 0.025 kg/person/day and a waste volume of 2.934 liters/person/day. The composition of waste produced in the BTN Rajawali Residence housing complex is, plastic waste of 0.814 kg/person/day, wood and garden waste of 0.151 kg/person/day, B3 waste of 0.317 kg/person/day, food waste of 3.904 kg/person/day, paper waste of 0.489 kg/person/day, textile waste of 0.000335 kg/person/day, metal waste of 0.0097 kg/person/day and glass waste of 0.107 kg/person/day. Evaluation of operational techniques for waste management in BTN Rajawali Residence housing based on SNI 19-2454-2002, namely, the container is appropriate but individual containers must be improved again, Collection is appropriate (collection is carried out routinely), transportation is appropriate (TPS waste is transported to TPA), waste transfer requires an effective schedule and good route, processing is not appropriate (must be more comprehensive for both organic and inorganic waste), final disposal (TPA is not explained in detail, but there are opportunities for development to increase efficiency and reduce environmental impact). In general, this system has met the standards set for operational aspects. However, there are some that need to be improved.
