Abstract

Aims: This study was to determine the prevalence of metabolic syndrome and its associated factors among nurses in Banten. Methods: The cross-sectional design of this particular type of quantitative correlation study. A total of 102 respondents were comprised of samples selected using random sampling. Variabel aktivitas fisik diidentifikasi menggunakan APARQ (Adolescent Physical Activity Recall Questionnaire) dan Stres diidentifikasi menggunakan DASS 21. Metabolic indicators include hypertension, Obesity, cholesterol, and diabetes. Data analysis used logistic regression.   Result:  The prevalence of metabolic syndrome among nurses was 16.7%. Older age (p=0.006), smoking (p=0.008), and stress (p=0.000) were significantly associated with metabolic syndrome. While gender and exercise were not significantly associated with metabolic syndrome.  Conclusion: smoking and stress were the major modifiable risk factors of metabolic syndrome among nurses. Campaigns and prevention of healthy behavior are crucial even among healthcare professionals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on fatigue in T2DM. This research used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group and a purposive sampling technique. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 78 T2DM patients in the Cempaka Putih sub-district health center area, Central Jakarta, participated in this study. The results of this study showed that the average fatigue score in the intervention group decreased significantly (7.46) compared to the control group (1.77). A significant difference was between moderate fatigue in the intervention and control groups (p-value = 0.018). At the end of the study, it was found that DM complications were the most dominant variable influencing fatigue (Exp. B = 9.20). In conclusion, Progressive Muscle Relaxation has been proven to reduce fatigue scores in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, where the DM complication variable is the most dominant variable influencing the fatigue score of Diabetics. Abstract

This research aims to identify the effectiveness of 5 pillars of education in controlling blood sugar levels. The method used in EBNP is a case study design. The application of EBNP begins with an article search by selecting articles that use the RCT method with the keyword "Education Video IN DIABETIC PATIENTS." The results of this EBNP research show that education on applying the five pillars video effectively controls blood sugar levels with a p-value of 0.01. In conclusion, using the five pillars of teaching effectively prevents blood sugar levels in diabetes patients at Tarakan Regional Hospital, Jakarta. Keywords: EBNP, 5 Pillar Education, Blood Sugar

Abstract

This research aims to implement education on fatigue in hemodialysis patients. The method used was a Randomized Controlled Trial with a quasi-experimental research design. The results showed a significant difference in the average total Fatigue score in the experimental and control groups after participating in the program (P < 0.001). There were also statistically significant differences between age, gender, disease duration, dialysis frequency, and Fatigue level (p<0.05). In conclusion, the educational intervention aims to increase knowledge so that patients can comply with the educational intervention provided and can help reduce fatigue levels in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Keywords: CKD, Education, Fatigue

Abstract

This study aims to implement Evidence-Based Nursing Practice (EBNP) with educational interventions on self-management, self-efficacy, and blood sugar values in DM patients at Tarakan Hospital, Jakarta. This research method uses quasi-experimental. The research results show that the p-value of self-management with self-efficacy is (r=0.464, p=0.001). The conclusion is that fasting blood sugar changes will impact postprandial blood sugar changes, and self-management will influence changes in respondents' self-efficacy. Abstract

This study aims to implement an intradialytic stationary bicycle exercise intervention to improve fatigue symptoms in hemodialysis patients. The research method used is a literature review. Research results The research results showed that there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group on fatigue subscales such as decreased motivation (P = 0.02) and mental fatigue (P = 0.046). Also, there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups in all fatigue subscales during the third month of intervention and 1 month after intervention. In addition, the results showed that exercise prevented the development of mental fatigue in the experimental group. In conclusion, exercise with a stationary bicycle prevented an increase in fatigue and its subscales, especially mental fatigue, in the test group. Keywords: Hemodialysis, Fatigue, Stationary Bike
