Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of science content through the Guded Inquiry Learning model for fourth grade students of SDN Bakambat. This research was conducted for two cycles using the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart design. The data were collected using observation and test. The data analysis was used qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data, namely the results of observations of teacher and student activities, quantitative data, namely student test results. The results showed that the teacher's activity in the first cycle was 50%, and the second cycle was 90%. Student activity in the first cycle was 57% and increased in the second cycle to 80%. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle were 52% and increased in the second cycle to 84%. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the guided inquiry learning model in teaching science content can improve student learning outcomes in science content.

Abstract

This study aims to improve description text writing skills through the Think Talk Write learning model assisted by image media in grade V students of SDN Tampang Awang. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SDN Tampang Awang in the 2023/2024 academic year with a total of 25 students consisting of 15 boys and 10 girls. The factors studied were teacher factors, student factors and learning outcomes in writing description text through the Think Talk Write learning model assisted by image media. Data collection methods through observation, tests, and documentation. Classroom Action Research was carried out in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II which consisted of two meetings. The conclusion from the results of the research and discussion is that through the Think Talk Write learning model assisted by picture media can improve teacher, student and learning outcomes of writing description text. This is evidenced by the achievement of the completeness of the results of writing student description text in cycle I meeting I which is 52%, cycle I meeting II is 60%, cycle II meeting I is 68%, and cycle II meeting II is 88%. The conclusion of this research shows that through the Think Talk Write learning model assisted by image media can improve the learning outcomes of writing description texts of grade V students of SDN Tampang Awang. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi melalui model pembelajaran Think Talk Write berbantuan media gambar pada siswa kelas V SDN Tampang Awang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yakni Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas V SDN Tampang Awang pada tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 dengan jumlah 25 siswa yang terdiri dari 15 orang siswa laki-laki dan 10 orang siswi perempuan. Faktor yang diteliti yakni, faktor guru, faktor siswa dan hasil belajar menulis teks deskripsi melalui model pembelajaran Think Talk Write berbantuan media gambar. Cara pengambilan data melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yakni siklus I dan siklus II yang terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian dan pembahasan bahwa melalui model pembelajaran Think Talk Write berbantuan media gambar dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru, siswa dan hasil belajar menulis teks deskripsi. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan ketercapaian ketuntasan hasil menulis teks deskripsi siswa pada siklus I pertemuan I yakni sebanyak 52%, siklus I pertemuan II sebanyak 60%, siklus II pertemuan I 68%, dan siklus II pertemuan II sebanyak 88%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa melalui model pembelajaran Think Talk Write berbantuan media gambar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar menulis teks deskripsi siswa kelas V SDN Tampang.

Abstract

Students' understanding of reading is still low which is characterized by reading comprehension results below the criteria completeness, lack of interest in reading, not being able to determine the main idea and make conclusions appropriately and reading competence that is not optimal occurs in grade IV students of SDN Benua Riam. This study aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth grade students of SDN Benua Riam through the Scramble learning model. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research carried out in two cycles with reference to the Kemmis and Taggart model, which includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 18 fourth grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests according to reading comprehension indicators, which were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the Scramble learning model can improve students' reading comprehension learning outcomes. Teacher activities increased and met the success indicator of 92% with very good criteria. Students' activities increased and met the success indicator of 86% with very active criteria. Students' learning completeness increased from 39% in the first cycle and meeting to 83.3% at the end of cycle II. This increase shows that the use of the Scramble learning model can create fun learning, increase student participation, and improve student learning.

Abstract

Using the Cooperative Script Learning method, this initiative aims to help fourth graders at SDN Aluh-Aluh Besar 1 improve their reading comprehension and fluency. Classroom action research, with its two sessions each cycle, is the research method used. Planning, carrying out, observing, and reflecting are the four phases that make up each cycle. Seventeen fourth graders from the second half of the 2023–2024 school year participated in this research. Intensive reading learning outcomes, student characteristics, and instructor variables were the components evaluated. Observation, testing, and documenting were the methods used to acquire data. The research demonstrated that students' learning outcomes from intense reading may be enhanced when teachers and students use the Cooperative Script learning technique. This is predicated on the findings of the first cycle's 65.6% teacher activity and the second cycle's 85.9% teacher activity. The level of student participation increased from 63.7% in cycle I to 85.5% in cycle II. After a 53% completion rate in cycle I, students were able to shift their attention to reading with 82% completion in cycle II. Discussions and findings suggest that during the 2023–2024 school year, fourth graders at SDN Aluh–Aluh Besar 1 may benefit from the Cooperative Script learning strategy when it comes to intense reading. ABSTRAKMenggunakan metode Cooperative Script Learning, inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk membantu siswa kelas empat di SDN Aluh-Aluh Besar 1 meningkatkan pemahaman dan kelancaran membaca mereka. Penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan dua sesi setiap siklus, adalah metode penelitian yang digunakan. Perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi adalah empat fase yang membentuk setiap siklus. Tujuh belas siswa kelas empat dari paruh kedua tahun ajaran 2023–2024 berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil pembelajaran membaca intensif, karakteristik siswa, dan variabel instruktur adalah komponen yang dievaluasi. Observasi, pengujian, dan dokumentasi adalah metode yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa dari membaca intensif dapat ditingkatkan ketika guru dan siswa menggunakan teknik pembelajaran Cooperative Script. Ini didasarkan pada temuan aktivitas guru 65,6% pada siklus pertama dan 85,9% pada siklus kedua. Tingkat partisipasi siswa meningkat dari 63,7% pada siklus I menjadi 85,5% pada siklus II. Setelah tingkat penyelesaian 53% pada siklus I, siswa mampu mengalihkan perhatian mereka ke membaca dengan tingkat penyelesaian 82% pada siklus II. Diskusi dan temuan menunjukkan bahwa selama tahun ajaran 2023–2024, siswa kelas empat di SDN Aluh–Aluh Besar 1 mungkin akan mendapatkan manfaat dari strategi pembelajaran Cooperative Script dalam hal membaca intensif.
