Abstract

Stunting is one of the focuses of nutrition improvement target in the world until 2025. The incidence of Stunting is an impact from insufficient nutritional intake both in terms of quality and quantity, highly of health, or the impact from both. The purpose of this study to know description of knowledge and attitude towards massage therapy to increase weight on stunting toddlers. In research use quantitive research with design one group pre-test post-test, the sample of research use voluntary sampling has done in 6 Integrated Health Post (ITH) at Tanjung Riau Area in Batam City, total sample is 42 respondents. The results of the research is the most of the respondents who have a good knowledge about massage therapy to increase weight on stunting toddlers as many as 14 respondents (33,5%), and very good attitude about massage therapy to increase weight on stunting toddlers as many as 16 respondents (38%). Advice for cadres that should improve about knowledge and attitude towards massage therapy to increasing weight on stunting toddlers.

Abstract

Background: Adolescents are synonymous with turbulent emotions but have imperfect self-control. Recently, cases of loss of self-control have occurred in adolescents due to lack of self-control. Low self-control leads to adolescent involvement in aggressive actions such as bullying. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between self-control and bullying incidents in adolescents at SMPN 29 Batam. Methods: This research uses quantitative research methods with analytical correlation research with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used probability sampling (simple random sampling) with a total of 87 respondents. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis used the chi square statistical test. Result: From this research, the results obtained from 87 respondents were that most teenagers who had low self-control carried out bullying and acted as perpetrators of bullying, namely 43 people (91.5%), while 1 teenager who had high self-control carried out bullying ( 2.5%). Chi square test results with p value 0.000 less than 0.05. Conclusions: It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between self-control and the incidence of bullying in adolescents at SMPN 29 Batam. The suggestions in this research are expected for adolescents to be able to add information about how to increase self-control and for educational institutions to provide education about self-control to adolescents as a form of education to increase self-control in adolescents and prevent bullying.

Abstract

Adolescent girls need adequate information regarding welcoming the arrival of the first menstruation. This is so that young women do not experience fear when their first menstruation arrives. Information is needed so that young women can respond to the arrival of their first menstruation in a calm and comfortable manner. On the other hand, many women and girls experience difficulties in managing their menstrual hygiene, which has an impact on hygiene, health and well-being and thus affects progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals for gender equality. Information related to Menstrual Hygiene Management is needed by young women to maintain their reproductive health. Poor knowledge affects bad behavior as well. Therefore, information on Menstrual Hygiene Management is needed by young women to improve their hygiene, health, and well-being. In an effort to increase the knowledge of young women about Menstrual Hygiene Management, community service activities in the form of health counseling were carried out online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting on July 21, 2022, which was attended by 36 young women with an age range of 14-22 years old. Community service activities went well and smoothly, marked by the high enthusiasm of the participants during the session of providing material and question and answer related to Menstrual Hygiene Management. The benefits obtained by the participants in this activity are that the participants gain increased knowledge related to Menstrual Hygiene Management which can be used to maintain their own cleanliness.

Abstract

Background: Adolescent reproductive health is increasingly becoming a major concern in education and public health. Especially in elementary school environment, where there is not enough information about clean and healthy lifestyle, it may affect their health in the future. Objective: To improve the understanding of students at SDN 010 Batam on the importance of reproductive health care through interactive counseling. Method: counseling that involves interaction, group discussion, and appropriate educational materials, materials include knowledge about the structure of body organs both inside and outside, growth, hygiene, and reproduction, as well as daily healthy lifestyle. Results: increased student understanding of hygiene and healthy living and its effect on reproductive health. Students showed a high level of enthusiasm and the ability to use the knowledge gained in daily life. These findings demonstrate the urgency of the need for structured and continuous reproductive health education in educational settings. Similarly, the community service program has been successful in raising awareness and shaping a continuous healthy lifestyle among adolescents. Conclusion: this step is very important in shaping a healthy generation that cares about reproductive health issues.

Abstract

Minimnya pengetahuan remaja disebabkan oleh kurangnya informasi mengenai penularan penyakit seksual. Buku saku digital adalah buku yang dapat diakses di computer, handphone berisi informasi digital yang berbentuk gambar ataupun teks. Tujuan penelitian: untuk mengetahui pengaruh media buku saku kesehatan reproduksi digital terhadap pengetahuan infeksi menular seksual pada remaja. Metode penelitian pre-experimental designs dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 85 siswa siswi dengan teknik pengambilan sampel Cluster sampling. Lokasi penelitian yaitu di SMA N 12 Batam pada bulan Juni-Juli 2024. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil penelitian: menunjukan kategori pengetahuan remaja yang baik meningkat dari 67,1% menjadi 97,6%. Hasil uji Wilcoxon signed rank test data pretest-posttest pengetahuan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan: Data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media buku saku kesehatan reproduksi digital terhadap pengetahuan infeksi menular seksual pada remaja.

Abstract

Labor is a physiological process, labor pain causes worry, panic, depression and delays the progress of the labor process. Labor pain can be reduced using pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods. One nonpharmacological method is to use aromatherapy. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of lavender aromatherapy on reducing the intensity of labor pain in the active phase of the first stage of labor. Methods: This was a quasy experimental study with a one group pretest-posttest without control approach. The population in this study involved all women in labor in March 2023 at the Private Practice Midwives in the work area of Puskesmas Botania CHC, Batam City, Riau Island. The number of samples was 30 women who were selected with the Total Sampling technique. The instrument used was the NRS pain scale observation sheet, and use defuser with lavender essensial oil 4 drop in 300 waters. Data analysis applied the Wilcoxon test. Results: The results showed that the mean scores of intensity of labor pain in the active phase of the first stage of labor before and after lavender aromatherapy administration were 5,83 and 4,97, respectively. The result of the analysis obtained a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of lavender aromatherapy on pain intensity in phase I active labor.

Abstract

Penularan HIV/AIDS terjadi karena kurangnya pengetahuan di kalangan remaja. Remaja harus paham pentingnya kesehatan reproduksi dan menghindari seks bebas untuk mencegah penularan HIV dan perilaku seks berisiko. Hal ini terjadi karena kurangnya pengetahuan di kalangan remaja. Remaja harus paham pentingnya kesehatan reproduksi dan menghindari seks bebas untuk mencegah penularan HIV. Metode penelitian ini adalah Quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pre test – post test one group design. Total sampel sebanyak 35 siswa dengan metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan remaja, dan variable terikat penelitian ini adalah pemberian video pembelajaran. Gambaran pengetahuan siswa di kelas XI IPA 1 SMAN 26 Kota Batam tentang HIV/AIDS sebelum diberikan media video sebagian besar adalah pengetahuan kurang yaitu sebanyak 57,1%. Gambaran pengetahuan siswa di kelas XI IPA 1 SMAN 26 Kota Batam tentang HIV/AIDS sesudah diberikan media video sebagian besar adalah pengetahuan baik yaitu 77,1%. Hasil uji Wilcoxon signed rank test data pretest-posttest pengetahuan p-value= 0,000. Data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian video terhadap pengetahuan Remaja Tentang Pencegahan HIV/AIDS Kelas X IPA 1 Di SMAN 26 Batam Tahun 2023.
