Abstract

This writing aims to analyze and reconstruct the process, causal factors, and changes that have occurred in the life of the Anak Dalam Tribe, especially those in the Bungo Jambi Regency area. The author uses a historical research method consisting of four steps, namely heuristics, source criticism, synthesis, and historiography, assisted by the use of the theory of Social Change which will be narrowed down through Auguste Comte's theory of Social Change. The results of the study can be explained that no Suku Anak Dalam is untouched by change, all Suku Anak Dalam have been touched by change, but in these changes there are those who accept only limited interests (slight changes), as well as changes in all forms (major changes). The changes that occur in the life of Suku Anak Dalam include several aspects, changes in behavior, changes in social values, changes in livelihoods, changes in thought patterns, changes in clothing styles and so on.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of an integrated Islamic education institution in West Pasaman Regency which emerged in 2008. The focus of this research is on the history of the establishment of Integrated Islamic Junior High School and its influence on the lives of the people of West Pasaman. This research was conducted using historical research methods with the steps of heuristics, source criticism, synthesis and historiography. Assisted by the use of social change theory to see the phenomena that occur and as an analysis knife. The results of this study reveal that the presence of Darul Hikmah IT Junior High School since 2008 and Al-Kahfi IT Junior High School in 2017 has given a new color to the world of education in West Pasaman. The existence of integrated Islamic schools has influenced various aspects of community life, including religion, education, politics, economy and culture. In the economic field, IT Junior High School has an impact on increasing the standard of living of the people of West Pasaman for the better. In the field of education itself, it can be seen from the addition of new educational institutions that imitate the learning patterns applied in Integrated Islamic Junior High School. In the political field, visible changes in the development of human resources such as teachers and students at IT Junior High School through leadership training and the formation of an IT Junior High School organizational network within the scope of the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT), JSIT is motivated by political parties and political party cadres. In addition, the fulfillment of IT Junior High School facilities and amenities is also assisted by political parties and political activists. With this political role, it then has an impact on improving facilities and infrastructure that affect the development of schools.

Abstract

This study critically evaluates and analyzes the historical writings of al-Mas'udi, focusing on his influence on historical writings in the classical Islamic era. The author is interested in examining al-Mas'udi's contributions in his works, particularly on Islamic historiography from the classical period. The researcher uses an approach that is considered appropriate for this study, namely a qualitative approach using analytical descriptive techniques and assisted by literature review. The purpose of this article is to provide an assessment and critical analysis of al-Mas'udi's influence on historical writing in the classical Islamic era, with a particular focus on his bibliography and writing techniques or methods. And through his travels and research, played a major role in Classical Islamic historiography with his major works. Although criticized for its consistency and the dirayah method used, his work remains valuable as a source of knowledge about Islamic history and geography. Al-Mas'udi's Muktazilah influence has also created his distinguishing thematic approach, which reflects the general Muslim worldview of his time. The evolution of history writing in Islam is reflected in the shift from the historical method to the dirayah method, which emphasizes direct experience and factors influencing historical events used by Al-Mas'udi.
