Abstract

The management of drugs and disposable medical supplies in healthcare units greatly affects the quality of healthcare services. However, the management is still not carried out optimally because it is not up to the standard. The Hanlon method is a basic priority rating system (Brief Priority Rating Scale, BPRS) which is used to compare health problems with relative and objective to identify factors that must be considered in determining a priority. This study aimed to describe and measure the efficiency of drugs and disposable medical supplies management in Healthcare Centers in Kupang City by using efficiency indicators and to develop the strategy using the Hanlon method. The design of this research is a descriptive quantitative-qualitative combination using retrospective and concurrent data. The sampling technique used was a total sampling of 11 Healthcare Centers in Kupang City, while the object of the study was the management of drugs and disposable medical supplies which were assessed using efficiency indicators. The results of research on the management of medicines and consumable medical materials at 11 Healthcare Centers in Kupang City have not been carried out efficiently because not all indicator values reached the standard, namely the suitability of drug items with DOEN and FORNAS, conformity of items received, the accuracy of planning, items expired or damaged, items that were not prescribed for 3 months, the level of availability of the drug, the percentage of drugs with generic names, use of antibiotics in patients with non-specific diarrhea and the average item per prescription sheet. Therefore it can be concluded that the management of drugs and disposable medical supplies in 11 Healthcare Centers in Kupang City using indicators at the selection, procurement, distribution, and use stages are not yet according to standards and the proposed improvements are proposed as a management development strategy, namely optimizing planning according to the needs of the health center, monitoring stock. and expiration date and conduct regular learning and growth of all human resources.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Tanaman Kelor (Moringa oleifera) termasuk dalam famili Moringaceae merupakan obat yang efektif untuk malnutrisi. Kelor kaya nutrisi karena adanya berbagai fitokimia penting yang ada di daun, polong dan bijinya.Tujuan: Tujuan dari Pengabdian ini adalah memberikan motivasi kepada peserta untuk berwirausaha melalui pembuatan makanan olahan daun kelor dan mampu mengembangkan usaha tersebut bagi masyarakat Desa Penfui Timur pada umumnya dan ibu – ibu rumah tangga pada khususnya. Tujuan lainnya adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada peserta mengenai cara mengembangkan berbagai macam variasi olahan makanan berbahan dasar daun kelor dan masyarakat yang mengikuti pelatihan ini dapat membuat produk olahan sendiri untuk menjadi produk andalan.Metode: Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan sistem ceramah serta diskusi tanya jawab terkait dengan manfaat tanaman kelor, bagian tanaman dan kandungan berkhasiat yang terdapat pada setiap bagian tanaman kelor. Selain itu juga dipaparkan tentang jenis-jenis penyakit yang dapat dikendalikan menggunakan tanaman kelor, dalam hal ini khususnya penanganan Stunting pada anak-anak.Hasil: Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat mendorong ibu-ibu di Desa Penfui Timur untuk memanfaatkan waktu menghasilkan produk kreatif yang memiliki nilai ekonomis. Hal ini merupakan upaya untuk mewujudkan keberdayaan masyarakat dalam pembangunan dan mewujudkan peningkatan taraf hidup masyarakat. Menurunnya tingkat pengangguran berdampak terhadap naiknya pendapatan perkapita dan daya beli masyarakat, serta tumbuhnya perekonomian secara nasional. Selain itu, berdampak pula bagi peningkatan gizi ibu hamil dan anak-anak, sehingga dapat menurunkan angka stunting.Simpulan: Kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan dalam pengabdian pada masyarakat  ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta mendapatkan tambahan informasi terbaru tentang komposisi dari tanaman kelor yang dapat digunakan secara aman dan efektif. Peserta memahami dan antusias tentang cara pengolahan makanan olahan berbahan dasar daun kelor

Abstract

Blood disorder caused by unbalanced globin synthesis resulting in damage to hemoglobin and recessive inheritance, handling do regular blood transfusions. Repeated blood transfusions in the long term lead to the accumulation of iron in the body. The purpose of this study was to determine the content and of mangiferin activity extract M. indica L leaf as an iron chelating in vitro. indica L leaf extract obtained by maceration method with 96% ethanol. Testing mangiferin content by TLC methods and iron chelating effectiveness in vitro using methods Ferrous ion chelating (FIC), the principle of the method is to measure the ability of a compound to compete with ferozine the metal chelate iron. Identification of TLC revealed that there is content mangiferin on leaf extract M indica L, by the similarity of color patches and Rf extracts and mangiferin, by using three types of the mobile phase is n-hexane: ethyl acetate: water (6: 3: 1) with Rf 0.1, ethyl acetate: formic acid: water (8: 2: 1) with Rf of 0.34 and methanol: chloroform: water (7: 2: 1) with Rf 0.8, Test result the ability of the metal chelate extract M. indica L leaf of ethanol has an iron chelating effect as in vitro methods FIC. Concentration higher of the iron chelating higher percentage. Extract at concentrations of 1, 10, 20, 30 and 40 ug / ml respectively have iron chelating percentage 6,44%, 29,87%, 58,85%, 75,74% and 92,99%, with values (IC50) it is 18,73 µg/ml.

Abstract

Lipstick is a cosmetic preparation used to color lips with an artistic touch so as to give an aesthetic impression in cosmetology. The dyes used in lipstick preparations must be paid attention to because they are very likely to be ingested with saliva or the food and drinks consumed, for this reason, it must be ensured that lipstick dyes are made from natural dyes and are not dangerous. Carrots are one of the natural ingredients as a source of antioxidants because they contain the active compound β-carotene which has an intensity of orange to orange color. The purpose of this research is to formulate lipstick from natural carrot root dyes. The extraction method used in this study was carrot root extract obtained from carrot powder maceration with a solvent ratio of methanol and n-hexane. Lipstick formulations were made into 3 kinds of formulations with each extract concentration of 0% in formula I, 5% in formula II, and 10% in formula III. Each lipstick formula was tested for physical quality including an organoleptic test, smear test, melting point test, pH test, and stability test. The results of this study indicate that the color of the lipstick produced in carrot root extract is dark orange-orange. This orange color can come from carrot root juice which can be used as a natural dye. The results of the stability test of the preparations showed that all formulations had a good shape, remained hard, not soft, and not runny or slimy. Formulation II is the formulation with the best stability because at a concentration of 10% carrot root extract the shape is good, not watery, the hardness level does not decrease and it is not easily broken.
