Abstract

This article explores the role of Christian education in mitigating ethical failures in Christian leadership, using a qualitative literature review approach. Ethical failures in Christian leadership have become a significant concern, as they undermine the integrity and credibility of church leaders, impacting both congregations and society. The paper examines scriptural principles and theological perspectives that shape ethical leadership, emphasizing the importance of character, integrity, and accountability as essential components of Christian leadership. Key passages from the Bible, such as 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9, are analyzed to highlight the ethical expectations for church leaders. Furthermore, the study delves into how Christian education plays a transformative role in shaping the moral and ethical development of leaders, through the integration of theology, ethics, and practical leadership skills. The findings suggest that Christian education provides a foundation for character formation, spiritual growth, and the cultivation of godly leadership practices. By fostering an environment of accountability and ethical training, Christian education can help prevent ethical lapses in leadership and contribute to the restoration of moral integrity in church leadership.

Abstract

Abstract: The growing prevalence of online gambling has triggered severe economic and spiritual crises, affecting individuals, families, and communities. This study aims to analyze the role of Christian education in preventing and addressing the destructive impacts of online gambling through a qualitative literature review. Grounded in theological principles and educational theory, Christian education emphasizes core values such as stewardship, self-control, and accountability as foundations for character formation and behavioral prevention. It serves not only as a preventive mechanism but also as a means of recovery by offering spiritual counseling, financial literacy training, and holistic community support. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive method by analyzing relevant theological, pedagogical, and psychosocial literature. The findings reveal that Christian education holds significant transformative potential in integrating moral development, economic stability, and spiritual restoration for individuals affected by online gambling. Key challenges include cultural resistance to faith-based values and limited collaboration between Christian institutions and secular organizations. Nevertheless, opportunities exist to expand Christian education curricula to address contemporary digital issues more contextually. In conclusion, the study affirms that value-based Christian education is not only relevant but essential in responding to the multidimensional crises caused by online gambling. It recommends the development of contextual educational models and further research to assess the long-term impact of such interventions. Abstract

Abstract:This study examines the roles of Jesus as both a historical and digital figure in the context of spiritual counseling, spiritual growth, and ethical implications in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). In a world increasingly shaped by technology, the presence of Jesus in digital form offers the potential to enrich the spiritual experiences of Christians. This research identifies how technological applications, such as AI-based counseling platforms and spiritual chatbots, can bring individuals closer to Jesus as a counselor and savior. Additionally, the study explores ethical challenges related to data privacy, the limitations of AI in understanding the depth of human spirituality, and the alignment between technology and the teachings of Christ. Using a qualitative approach through a literature review, this article provides insights into how technology can support or even replace deeper spiritual experiences, while still preserving Christian values. The implications of this study are significant for churches and spiritual organizations in integrating technology with ethics that honor spiritual values

Abstract

This study explores the adaptation of Timothy's parenting model as a Christian education approach to address the challenges faced by the digital generation. Using a qualitative literature review methodology, it examines biblical principles from Timothy's upbringing, as highlighted in the Pauline epistles, and their relevance to modern educational contexts. The digital generation, characterized by technological dependence, rapid information exchange, and shifting moral values, requires an education model that integrates faith, mentorship, and critical thinking. Timothy's parenting model emphasizes intergenerational mentorship, spiritual grounding, and resilience, offering valuable insights for fostering holistic growth in the digital era. The findings highlight practical strategies for Christian parents and educators, including faith-based digital literacy, relational discipleship, and the cultivation of character through biblically grounded mentorship. These strategies align with the goal of preparing a generation equipped to navigate technological complexities while upholding Christian values. This study contributes to the ongoing discourse on faith-integrated education by providing a framework for bridging biblical principles and contemporary pedagogical practices, paving the way for future empirical research.

Abstract

Christian education serves as a prophetic action of the Church, reflecting its commitment to promoting justice within the framework of social theology. In an era marked by widening inequalities, systemic oppression, and moral ambiguity, the Church faces an urgent need to respond with transformative educational practices that go beyond doctrinal instruction. This study explores the role of Christian education in addressing social injustices and fostering societal transformation through a qualitative literature review approach. The research emerges from the growing concern that traditional ecclesial education often fails to engage critically with social realities. Drawing from Paulo Freire’s critical pedagogy, this study underscores the liberating potential of education as a practice of freedom—empowering learners to become conscious agents of change. Freire argues that true education must foster critical reflection and action (praxis) to challenge structures of domination. Similarly, Gustavo Gutiérrez’s theology of liberation informs the study by framing justice as a core element of Christian mission. This research examines the theological foundations of justice within Christian social thought and how Christian education embodies the Church’s prophetic mission by integrating justice-oriented values into its curriculum. The findings highlight the synergy between social theology and education, while identifying challenges such as cultural resistance, theological rigidity, and institutional inertia. The study concludes by advocating for a justice-focused educational model that equips believers to embody the Church’s prophetic voice in society.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital platform monetization has reshaped the global economy, providing individuals with new avenues for income generation and creative expression. However, these opportunities come with ethical dilemmas, such as content commodification, exploitation, and the erosion of personal authenticity. This study investigates digital monetization from the perspective of Christian education, emphasizing the integration of work values rooted in biblical principles, including diligence, integrity, stewardship, and service. Using a qualitative approach based on a comprehensive literature review, the research explores theological concepts of work, the role of Christian education, and case studies from monetized platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. The findings demonstrate that digital monetization can foster economic empowerment and innovation, but only when approached ethically. Christian education offers a robust framework for addressing these challenges by promoting moral discernment, digital literacy, and value-driven creativity. Through this lens, monetization can evolve into a means of service, community building, and stewardship, aligning with Christian principles. The study concludes with recommendations for educators, content creators, and policymakers to prioritize ethical standards and Christian work values in the digital economy. It suggests that future research focus on practical applications of these principles to ensure that technological advancements are leveraged responsibly in diverse sociocultural contexts.

Abstract

Global warming is a serious challenge that demands collective awareness and action, including in the field of education. Christian ecopedagogy, which integrates theological values with environmental concern, plays a crucial role in fostering ecological awareness and promoting global warming mitigation. Transforming ecopedagogy through ecotheology in the Christian education curriculum can strengthen students' understanding of their spiritual responsibility toward nature as part of their faith. By implementing a holistic approach that encompasses theological studies, environmental ethics, and sustainable practices, Christian schools can become agents of change in shaping a generation that is more environmentally conscious. This ecotheology-based learning model can be realized through curriculum integration, real-world action projects, and the active involvement of communities and churches in environmental education. Thus, Christian education not only focuses on academic excellence but also on shaping ecological character rooted in faith-based values to address global environmental challenges.
