Abstract

Deterjen merupakan limbah pemukiman yang paling potensial mencemari air. Pada saat ini hampir setiap rumah tangga menggunakan detergen, dan pemakaian detergen secara besar-besaran bila tidak diolah secara baik menyebabkan munculnya lautan busa atau buih yang dapat menimbulkan pencemaran yang tinggi di sungai dan sebagai salah satu sumber pencemaran di laut. Para nelayan di Kampung Nelayan Marunda mengeluhkan adanya pencemaran perairan di sekitarnya dengan busa deterjen yang berdampak ratusan ikan menjadi mati mengambang sehingga pendapatan para nelayan menurun drastis. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan penyuluhan dampak pencemaran limbah busa sabun terhadap ikan hasil tangkapan nelayan di Kampung Nelayan Marunda. Tingkat pencemaran perairan laut akibat busa deterjen di Kampung Nelayan Cilincing. Metode Pengabdian Masyarakat adalah penyuluhan, wawancara dan diskusi dengan obyek penyuluhan ini adalah masyarakat nelayan yang berada di Marunda Cilincing berjumlah 30 orang. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat tersebut dapat adalah banyak limbah busa sabun dari masyarakat pantai Marunda di laut tempat nelayan Marunda menangkap ikan. Limbah busa sabun menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan laut yang memberikan dampak negatif pada biota yang hidup di laut ataupun sungai serta bisa membuat ikan-ikan yang ada pada perairan menjadi terganggu. Tercemarnya perairan dengan busa deterjen yang berdampak ratusan ikan menjadi mati mengambang sehingga pendapatan para nelayan menurun. Sehingga perlunya upaya-upaya untuk mencegah atau mengurangi limbah busa sabun dari masyarakat sekitar pantai Marunda sehingga mengurangi dampat negative pada biota yang hidup di laut dan ikan hasil tangkapan nelayan.

Abstract

The education sector is included in the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, thus encouraging adaptation activities to prevent the spread of the outbreak face-to-face learning in class is abolished and all learning is transferred to the network. This change in learning methods is certainly very influential on cadets in receiving and understanding learning materials from lecturers. This research was conducted to describe the cadet’s perception of the Djadajat Maritime Academy on the effectiveness of online learning. This study's research design makes use of qualitative research. Data was collected by questionnaire and was analyzed from percentage of tabulations data. The results show that online learning according to the cadets' perception is considered to have many limitations and is still less effective

Abstract

Working on a fishing vessel is work that is classified as dangerous and is prone to causing work accidents. The causes of accidents on fishing vessels are low crew awareness regarding work safety in shipping and fishing activities, low mastery of navigation and fishing safety competencies, ships are not equipped with safety equipment as they should be. Bad weather such as big waves and lack of knowledge and skills in using work safety equipment. Data collection was carried out by direct observation and interviews with fishermen in Ciincing. This research aims to find out the picture of the mental safety of Cilincing fishermen when going to sea. The results of this research show that the types of accidents frequently experienced by Cilincing fishermen are slips, bumps, falls into the sea, leaking boats, engine propellers caught in rubbish, sinking boats and ship collisions. The causes of work accidents experienced by Cilincing fishermen are a lack of skills in avoiding safety, incomplete safety equipment, inadequate vessels and a lack of navigational aids. The level of knowledge of Cilincing fishing fishermen about life safety is quite good because they often receive safety training and life safety equipment at sea. There are some fishermen who rely on traditional knowledge about sea safety based on experience passed down from their ancestors and combining knowledge. knowledge gained through government outreach.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1. Membantu masinis kapal mengerti dan memahami bagaimana mengetahui penyebab terganggunya system pendinginan mesin diatas kapal sehingga dapat berkerja secara optimal dan tidak mengalami gangguan selama beroperasi. 2. Menjelaskan tindakan yang harus dimengerti dan dilakukan dalam pengelolaan peralatan pendukung system pendingin mesin diatas kapal sehingga dapat menghasilkan daya guna yang baik. 3. Melalukan perawatan system penukar panas sesuai Manual Book dan cara perbaikannya. Penelitian ini mempergunakan metode survey dengan meminta pendapat responden, data, sampel, pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara atau daftar pertanyaan, dalam pengumpulan data juga dilakukan melalui study dokumen yaitu Instrucrion Book/ Manual Book yang tersedia diatas kapal yang dibuat oleh Makernya, buku-buku petunjuk perawatan, buku-buku Panduan dari Pelatihan, buku-buku yang berhubungan dengan ketel uap/boiler dan pengalaman penulis sebagai Masinis diatas kapal.

Abstract

Iron ore has long been used for industrial steelmaking. Several countries have very large reserves of this commodity, such as Brazil and Australia, which export 70% of their total exports and are the two countries with the highest export value, followed by other countries such as South Africa, Chile, Canada, and the United States with an estimated 33%. Most iron ore is transported by Capesize ships > 80,000 DWT, and even for oceangoing transportation, it can be much larger, reaching 165,000 DWT with a ship length exceeding 350 meters with a draft of over 20 meters. Solid bulk cargo of nickel ore poses a risk in transportation because it can melt (liquefy) during the journey, reducing the stability of the ship, thus endangering the safety of the ship. Solid bulk cargo of nickel ore is classified as cargo group A, which is that it may liquefy if shipped at a moisture content (MC) exceeding the Transportable Moisture Limit (TML). The liquefaction of nickel ore cargo has caused the capsizing of several ships and reduced safety in transportation. To overcome the risk of liquefaction in solid bulk Nickel ore cargo before the start of loading, a laboratory moisture content test must be carried out so that the cargo is safe before being loaded. The purpose of this study is to analyze the moisture content in solid bulk Nickel ore cargo that is at risk of liquefaction and can disrupt the stability of the ship. If the Moisture Content in a Group A cargo exceeds the Transportable Moisture Limit, then the cargo can be declared unsafe to be loaded onto the ship. Therefore, the Moisture Content of the cargo must be reduced to less than the specified Transportable Moisture Limit.

Abstract

Pencemaran laut adalah kotoran atau hasil buangan aktivitas makhluk hidup yang masuk ke dalam laut. Penggunaan cat anti organisme menempel (antifouling) kapal merupakan salah satu sumber pencemar logam berat di laut,sedimen di dekat dok dan tempat sandar kapal  yang dapat merusak laut dan membunuh kehidupan di laut.    Logam berat seperti Cu dan Pb merupakan  polutan di perairan laut yang berasal dari lepasnya cat antifouling ke laut yang banyak digunakan pada lambung kapal. Industri galangan kapal dan pengecatan antifouling pada kapal berpotensi sangat besar menimbulkan pencemaran logam berat tembaga (Cu) dan timbal (Pb). Logam berat yang  terdapat di perairan laut   berbahaya baik secara langsung   maupun tidak langsung terhadap kehidupan organisme dan kesehatan manusia, karena bila logam berat tersebut tercemar di perairan laut akan mengalami penumpukan pada  organisme laut  dan   konsentrasi yang  tinggi logam berat dapat bersifat racun yang dapat membunuh organisme laut di dasar kapal.
