Abstract

Airfield Lighting subject is one of the most importance subjects for Airport Electrical Engineering of Indonesia Civil Aviation Institute cadets . There are CBT and AFL in AGL laboratory to support the teaching-learning process as well as the practice of this subject. At the time being, however, there has not been any simulation tool for the layout and circuit configuration of the airport airside. Therefore, the writer designs a simulation tool as a teaching aid/props for the practice of this subject at the laboratory. By having this tool, it is expected that the cadets can do the simulation of the layout and circuit configuration of the airport airside.

Abstract

Amphibian Cessna 172 SP is an aircraft designed to operate in aquatic environments and is frequently exposed to seawater, which is highly corrosive. Such exposure poses a serious issue of corrosion affecting both the structure and components of the aircraft, particularly the floats, lower fuselage, and propeller. Corrosion not only reduces the quality and integrity of the material but also potentially compromises flight safety and increases maintenance costs. This study aims to analyze the causes of corrosion on the Seaplane Amphibian Cessna 172 SP using the fishbone diagram to identify the main contributing factors, including material, method, environment, manpower, and machine. In addition, the 5W+1H approach is employed to examine the problem in greater detail and develop preventive strategies. The results of the analysis indicate that the dominant factors causing corrosion are the high intensity of direct contact with seawater, suboptimal cleaning processes due to limited manpower, and the use of cleaning agents not fully compatible with aircraft materials. Mitigation efforts include implementing more effective cleaning procedures, applying anti-corrosion chemicals such as AeroShell Fluid 41, Bonderite Turco S.S.2, Ardrox AV-15, CorrosionX, Toolmates Dry Film Lubricant 6075, and Ultra Tef-Gel, as well as conducting scheduled inspections at specific intervals. This research is expected to provide more appropriate preventive strategies to extend the service life of the aircraft structure while maintaining both operational safety and efficiency.

Abstract

Air transport and logistics require graduates who can combine operational knowledge with managerial, digital, and adaptive capabilities. This study develops an industry-oriented managerial competency framework as a basis for designing an Applied Bachelor program in Air Transport and Logistics in Indonesia. A qualitative descriptive-exploratory needs-analysis design is used. The source framework integrates curriculum documents, competency standards, industry literature, and a purposive stakeholder-validation plan involving study-program leaders and operational managers or supervisors in aviation and logistics. The document-informed analysis identifies six interrelated competency domains: strategic planning, decision-making and problem solving, leadership, communication and cross-functional coordination, operational and supply-chain management, and digital adaptability. These domains indicate that an applied curriculum should integrate work-based learning, industry projects, digital logistics applications, and recurrent curriculum review with industry partners. The study contributes a structured basis for narrowing the education-industry skills gap while retaining the applied character of vocational higher education. Empirical stakeholder validation remains necessary before the competency architecture is translated into final graduate learning outcomes and course structures.

Abstract

The aviation industry operates under rapid technological, regulatory, safety, competitive, and customer-driven change, making Organizational agility a critical capability. This study examines the effects of Strategic leadership and Learning organization on Organizational agility in the Indonesian aviation industry. The research design follows a quantitative explanatory approach with purposive sampling of 200 airline employees who meet the criteria of permanent employment, at least one year of tenure, and involvement in managerial, operational, learning, or decision-related activities. The instrument comprises 25 Likert-scale items and the analytical model uses multiple linear regression with SPSS-equivalent procedures. For manuscript-development purposes, the statistical workflow is demonstrated using a controlled synthetic dataset of 200 observations because the source material did not include raw respondent data. Within this analytical dataset, all indicators exceeded the item-validity threshold, construct reliability was high (Cronbach's alpha = .909-.915), regression assumptions were satisfied, and the overall model was significant (R² = .543; F = 116.967; p < .001). Strategic leadership showed a positive association with Organizational agility (β = .282; p < .001), while Learning organization showed the stronger association (β = .619; p < .001). The findings illustrate how strategic direction and continuous organizational learning can jointly strengthen Organizational agility, while empirical claims must ultimately be confirmed using actual field data.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Market Orientation and Service Quality on Firm Performance in the context of Super Air Jet in Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory, cross-sectional design is proposed with 260 airline passengers selected through purposive sampling. Market Orientation is represented by customer orientation, competitor orientation, and interfunctional coordination, while Service Quality covers tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Firm Performance is assessed through perceived financial and non-financial indicators. Data are planned to be analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26 through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, partial t-tests, a simultaneous F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The source manuscript does not contain completed SPSS output; therefore, this article does not fabricate statistical values or hypothesis decisions. The study framework is intended to explain how market responsiveness and service quality may jointly strengthen airline performance and competitiveness. This study is expected to provide an empirical foundation for airline managers in developing integrated market and service strategies, while also contributing to the literature concerning strategic marketing, service management, and organizational performance in Indonesia’s commercial aviation industry.
