Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has not ended yet; in fact it mutated and gave rise to a new variant which was later known as omicron. COVID-19 has threatened various sectors of life including religious life; religious rituals during the pandemic are limited and must follow health protocols to avoid the spread of the virus. Religious authorities play an important role in responding to this situation, including in issuing fatwas regarding guidelines for the implementation of worship during the COVID-19 period. Therefore, this article discusses the guidelines for the implementation of worship issued by these religious authorities. The focus of this article is to compare the fatwas of religious authorities regarding guidelines for the implementation of worship during the COVID-19 period; the fatwas referred to here are limited to the fatwas of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), the fatwas of the Majlis Tarjih Muhammadiyah, and the fatwas of Lajnah Bahsul Masail Nahdlatul Ulama. This research is a library research with a comparative descriptive approach. The results of the study show that the fatwas related to the guidelines for the implementation of worship during the pandemic issued by the three religious authorities synergize, cooperate with and support each other in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Abstract

This study aims to explore and understand the differences in symbolic interactions that occur in the context of recitation between villagers and urban communities. Recitation is an Islamic tradition that is widely known to the public and is also popular in Indonesia. This tradition has its own very deep and touching meaning for the congregation in Indonesia, both rural and urban communities. Recitation becomes a space for learning and sharing Islamic knowledge, Islamic history, as well as becoming an intermediary or bridge to strengthen ties of brotherhood and solidarity between Muslims. Through a qualitative approach with a comparative study, this research identifies certain symbols or meanings related to recitation and explores how social and cultural backgrounds influence individual perceptions of science councils in both social contexts. Symbolic interactions in science councils in villages and cities reflect the socio-cultural conditions that exist or are occurring in both communities. Village recitations focus more on basic religious knowledge and have an informal atmosphere with a more naturalistic, simple nature and better reflect harmony between Muslims. Meanwhile, Koran studies in cities focus more on contemporary issues and have a formal atmosphere that reflects the complexity and dynamics of urban society. It focuses more on scientific studies and ignores solidarity and harmony between Muslims

Abstract

The sakinah family is a family that has received the grace and blessing of Allah SWT, has been a dream and a dream since planning a wedding and has become the goal of religion and marriage itself. The purpose of this study was to determine the Islamic view of women who have a career, in the concept of forming a sakinah family. So that the family that is built can become a sakinah family, each member must understand and carry out their rights and obligations, as well as a woman who has a dual role in the family where a woman must be a wife and also a mother. The problem here is that a woman with her roles and obligations is required to be able to fulfill the rights of every family member to her. Because Islam itself allows women to work outside the home. The method used in this research is descriptive method. A method to help the researcher know what is happening in the environment under the observer, balanced by analysis and interpretation and in narrative form to complete the picture and obtain significant results. The results of this research and the conclusion is that a woman is allowed to work outside the home, but there are certain limitations that must be obeyed and must be based on permission from her husband. The husband may only forbid his wife to work (by not giving permission) if the work to be carried out by the wife can bring harm to himself and his family. In this condition the husband is obliged to remind him. However, if the work of the wife is to fulfill the necessities of life for herself and her family due to her husband being unable to work to earn a living, either because of illness, poverty or other reasons, then the husband has no right to forbid it.
