Abstract

Extracurricular activities are a place to develop the potential of students through various activities, both those directly related and those not directly related to the curriculum. Extracurricular activities can bridge the problems of education that occur in schools and education in families as well as the challenges of globalisation because they act as a perfecting education from the cognitive level to the affective and psychomotor aspects. As well as extracurricular activities at MTs darussalam sengkubang which can shape the religious character of students through habituation and cultivation in extracurricular scout activities. This research uses a qualitative approach, while this type of research is phenomenology. The results showed that the implementation of extracurricular scout activities at MTs Darussalam Sengkubang began with the planning stage of long-term, medium and short-term work programmes, then the implementation stage of the planned programme with a well-calculated time determination. In the implementation of extracurricular scout activities at MTs Darussalam Sengkubang, it strongly emphasises the character development of students or scout members. Scout extracurricular activities can shape the religious character of students at MTs Darussalam Sengkubang because of the provision of religious guidance to students, involving students in scouting activities and guidance from administrators and coaches able to internalise the religious character of students.

Abstract

Penyakit tidak menular merupakan penyebab utama kematian dan ketidakmampuan fisik yang diderita oleh masyarakat Indonesia maupun dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan faktor usia dengan kejadian PTM di Puskesmas Aek Goti. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan metode penelitian deskriptif karena dalam pelaksanaannya meliputi data, analisis dan interpretasi tentang arti dan data yang diperoleh, dan pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan faktor usia dengan kejadian PTM di Puskesmas Aek Goti. Kesimpulan yang didapat yaitu terdapat hubungan faktor usia dengan kejadian PTM di Puskesmas Aek Goti yang terdiri dari penyakit hipertensi, diabetes mellitus, dan diare.

Abstract

The 21st-century industrial revolution demands increased digital literacy among students. However, data shows that the digital literacy level of Indonesian students remains relatively low. This gap is challenging, especially in schools with limited access to technology-based learning media. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Powtoon as a learning medium to improve students' digital literacy. This study used a quasi-experimental design with purposive sampling, involving 67 students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group used Powtoon, while the control group used PowerPoint. Digital literacy was assessed through pre- and post-tests across five indicators: information, communication, content creation, security, and problem-solving. A t-test analysis showed significant differences across all indicators, with the experimental group showing a higher N-gain. The most significant improvement occurred in communication and security, highlighting Powtoon's role in fostering an interactive and engaging learning experience. These findings suggest that Powtoon is an innovative medium that enhances students' digital literacy while improving subject understanding. This study underscores the potential of integrating Powtoon into education to create a more dynamic and effective learning environment. This research suggests that using Powtoon as an innovative medium in physics learning can improve students' digital literacy and strengthen conceptual understanding through engaging and interactive visualizations. This demonstrates the importance of integrating creative technology into learning to support 21st-century skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Sales Growth (sales growth ratio), Tax Planning (Tax Retention Rate/TRR), and Tax Avoidance (effective tax rate/ETR) on Firm Value (price to book value/PBV) in non-cyclicals consumer sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020-2024. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data in the form of annual financial reports. The sample was obtained through purposive sampling, resulting in 39 companies form a total population of 130 companies. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with SPSS Version 25. The results show thae sales growth has a significants positive effect on firm value, while tax planning and tax avoidance have no significant effect. This study contributes to enriching the literature on the determinants of firm value and provides practical implications for investors in evaluating a company’s fundamental performance.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the initial reading ability of class I students at SDIT Luhur Al-Kautsar before and after implementing the multisensory method, as well as to determine the effect of the multisensory method on initial reading ability. The research method used was pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 21 students, and data was collected through oral tests. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the pretest scores show the following data: the number of students (N) is 21; minimum score is 0; maximum score is 10; total score reached 94; average score of 4.48; and standard deviation 3.386. The average pretest score was 8.24 with a standard deviation of 3.386 after applying the multisensory method. The normality test using the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test showed that the data was normally distributed (p = 0.000). Hypothesis testing with the t test (Paired Sample T-test) found a significant difference between posttest and pretest scores (Z = 0.117, p = 0.000), indicating that the use of multisensory methods has a positive effect in improving student learning outcomes. The difference in increase in the average score of 3.76 (from 4.48 on the pretest to 8.24 on the posttest) shows a significant increase in student learning outcomes. The conclusion of this research shows that the multisensory method had an influence in improving students' initial reading abilities. These findings suggest that the use of multisensory methods can be applied as an effective learning strategy to improve reading skills in elementary schools.
