Abstract

The research background was the low ability condition on students’ critical thinking. A PBL model was used in the learning process to overcome the problem. PBL is one of the learning approaches that can stimulate students’ critical thinking. The research objective was intended to describe a learning process that used a PBL model to analyze students’ ability to do critical thinking and the influence of the PBL model on students’ ability to do critical thinking. The method used for this research was Quasi Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research was conducted in grade VII-B as the experiment class that obtained the PBL model treatment, as well as grade VII-C as the control class that obtained cooperative learning type TGT model treatment. The research instrument was a learning plan, an essay question that consisted of fifteen questions, followed by a validity test, reliability test, difficulty test, and difference of power test. The hypothesis testing result shows 0,043 < 0,05, and N-Gain test shows 1,142 > 1, the conclusion from this research shows that PBL model have influence on increasing the students’ ability to do critical thinking in social science learning

Abstract

The problem of low student motivation to learn is an educational problem currently faced by Indonesia, namely low quality in various educational institutions. School changes need to be made to improve the quality of education. Teachers at driving schools are required to be able to provide enjoyable learning for students in one direction but with a variety of encouraging activities. The aim of this research is to identify competencies for increasing digital literacy skills through local wisdom content in social studies learning. The research method used is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. Data collection techniques were carried out through pretest and posttest, observation and documentation studies. The data analysis technique uses the Winistep Rasch model analysis. The results of this research show that there is a significant increase in data on the digital literacy of students who use Augmented Reality (AR) media. From these data it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' digital literacy using Augmented Reality (AR) media. It can be identified that the item mean correlation is 1.00 with a reliability percentage level of 0.77 so that from the standard item of 50 items it can be increased to be at a separation level of 1.64. -167. Therefore, learning social studies using Augmented Reality (AR) media based on local wisdom content can increase students' digital literacy.

Abstract

The Lembang fault is located very close to the Citatah industrial area in West Bandung Regency. This location makes the Citatah industrial area highly susceptible to earthquakes caused by the Lembang Fault.. The aim of this research is to map the distribution of factories which are part of the earthquake risk, danger and vulnerability zone. The method used is a survey method using the Geographic Information System application. Information on vulnerabilities, hazards and risks is obtained through INARISK, while factory distribution is obtained by direct site surveys. Based on the analysis, it was found that the Citatah karst area has 34 mining factories spread close to the main road. The vulnerability assessment describes that 33 factories are in locations with high vulnerability, while moderate vulnerability consists of 1 factory. The hazard analysis describes that there are 20 factories in the high-risk zone, 10 factories in the medium risk zone and 4 factories in the low-risk zone. The risk of earthquake disasters has three classifications, namely low, medium and high. Based on the analysis, it was found that 26 factories were in the high-risk zone and 8 factories were in the medium zone. This area is close to the Lembang fault, so it is at high and medium risk. The low-risk zone is located at low elevation and the furthest part of the karst area from the Lembang fault. This research can be useful in for spatial planning and mitigation strategies in earthquake-prone areas.
