Abstract

Single mode directional couplers are key components in many optical communication and sensor applications, including optical power splitting, optical filtering, optical reflecting, wavelength multiplexing/demultiplexing, and optical polarisation splitting. The general basic principle in most directional coupler is that under appropriate conditions light transfer can occur between the two adjacent fiber cores via a mechanism called evanescent wave coupling. When the two cores are put closely together the evanescent field travelling from the throughput fiber reaches the coupled waveguide and excite a mode in it. In this paper we use two approaches in analyzing the properties of directional couplers, namely the coupled mode thery and the method of lines. it is found that the two methods agree very well.

Abstract

Media visualization of the digital era, is a significant development in the industrial and educational world. Where in packaging the results of the report are required to be a visualization that can be received quickly, briefly, and can be received efficiently to the recipient of information. In the application sector, processing data into information can be displayed with a graph model. This graphical model is able to help recipients of information to be able to capture various information quickly, efficiently, and provide information needed to determine future decision development. The use of business intelligence in implementing the viewboard on learning, supports the creation of complicated information delivery, so that it can be consumed and accepted easily. In the communication, the viewboard model becomes a link between data from Rinfo spreadsheets, to be displayed as a form of graphical information that can facilitate recipients of information in increasing the motivation to make decisions from the graphical information displayed. In processing data into Rinfo spreadsheet information, the calculation uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, in the process there is cluster division and weighting of values. The results will be used as decision support information on the graphical viewboard that is displayed attractively, will produce a decision making system of information that is faster, easier and more efficient. Abstract

The purpose of this literature review is to develop hypotheses for future researchers conducting research related to profitability. The research article on determining profitability: analysis of non-income water, legal aspects, cost of goods sold, chemistry, customer behavior, and government regulations is a scientific literature article in the field of operational management. The approach used in this literature review is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used is literature study or reviewing previous relevant articles. The data used in this study is secondary data with a maximum publication of 8 years, sourced from academic online media such as Thomson Reuters Journal, Sage, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Scopus Emerald, Elsevier, Sage, Springer, Web of Science, Sinta Journal, DOAJ, EBSCO, Google Scholar, and digital reference books. Empirical data was used to support the phenomena observed in this study. In this study, one relevant previous study was used for each variable to review the results of the previous study. The results of the literature review are as follows: 1) Non-revenue water affects profitability; 2) Legal aspects affect profitability; 3) Cost of goods sold affects profitability; 4) Chemicals affect profitability; 5) Customer behavior affects profitability; and 6) Government regulations affect profitability.

Abstract

The infrastructure sector serves as the backbone of national economic growth, with both state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and non-state-owned enterprises (Non-SOEs) playing strategic roles in public service delivery and investment. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the sector's stability and performance, highlighting the need for a more comprehensive analysis of the internal and external factors influencing company performance across different periods. This study aims to examine the impact of corporate fundamentals, macroeconomic indicators, the Indonesia Composite Index (ICI), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors on the profitability and stock returns of SOEs and Non-SOEs in the infrastructure sector before, during, and after the Covid-19 pandemic. Using a descriptive quantitative approach and quarterly financial data from 2018 to 2023 for 42 companies, the study finds that SOEs demonstrate greater financial stability, while Non-SOEs exhibit higher operational adaptability. ESG-implementing firms generally report better profitability and healthier capital structures, albeit with higher volatility. These findings suggest the importance of enhancing operational efficiency, reinforcing ESG adoption, and maintaining sound financial structures to ensure business sustainability. Future studies are encouraged to explore qualitative aspects such as strategic innovation and governance transformation for more holistic insights.   Keywords: Infrastructure, SOEs, Non-SOEs, Company Performance, Covid-19 Pandemic
