Abstract

Non-Timber Forest Products is currently a new prospect and hope that continues to increase, where HHBK is considered to be the core of the utilization of forest products that can simultaneously preserve forests in general. One of the Non-Timber Forest Products is honey, where honey can produce financial value so as to reduce the level of dependence of the community on forest products in the form of wood. The types of honey in the forest are very diverse, one type of honey that has a high economic value is sialang forest honey. To determine the economic value of sialang forest honey is necessary to do a financial analysis through the pattern of production conducted by the community in producing the product, so that it can be known whether the business is feasible or not to do this research was conducted in the District of Pelalawan, Pelalawan regency with qualitative methods consisting of interviews and direct observation in the field. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the financial value obtained by Sialang forest honey business owners in one year was Rp74, 905, 200.00., while the income Sialang Forest Honey Harvester in one year amounted to Rp86, 514, 000.00.

Community service methods with counseling, training on the quality of wood and furniture products, and procurement of planer and finishing machines. Targets and outputs are to increase knowledge of the quality of wood and furniture products and the procurement of planners and finishing machines. The results of the service show that counseling and training on wood and furniture product knowledge is very effective for increasing knowledge of the quality of wood and furniture products. The use of planer and finishing machines can improve the quantity, quality, and innovation of products.

Abstract

The Pine tree (Pinus merkusii Jungh. Et de Vriese) is one of the pioneer plant species that can grow in various conditions without requiring specific growing conditions, and the main product of this tree is Pine resin. This study aims to determine the effect of diameter at breast height (DBH) and altitude on Pine resin productivity, conducted at RPH Bruno plots 46 K-2 and 47B; RPH Katerban plots 103A and 105, BKPH Purworejo, KPH Kedu Selatan. Observations were carried out for 30 days with 3 data collection sessions on tapping wounds made by the researcher. The methods used were Quantitative and Qualitative with multiple linear regression analysis, with the multiple linear regression equation Y = 16.823 – 2.694 X1 – 0.006 X2; based on the regression equation, the value for DBH is -2.694 and for altitude is -0.006.  The results of this study show that Bonita and The altitude of the growing location affect Pine resin productivity. In addition, the analysis data of the correlation coefficient (R) in the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained a value of 1, meaning that the variables Bonita and the altitude of the growing location are strongly correlated with pine resin productivity. The estimated annual production results (year 2025) obtained by the researcher are lower compared to the RTT 2025 production target of BKPH Purworejo in the same plot. This result is due to the researcher only weighing resin from one tap made by the researcher, whereas in reality, tapping farmers make an average of two taps.
