Abstract

This research is to find description of comparison of creativity on 10-12 years old students between regular primary school ―X‖ and intenational primary school ―Y‖ in Bandung. This research uses comparative method. Purposive sampling is used for  selecting samples. The samples in this research consist of 68 students of regular primary school ―X‖ and 34  students of international primary school ―Y‖. The researcher uses Tes Kreativitas Figural (TKF) by Munandar as the instrument. The data is statistically analyzed in the form of means comparison using independent sample T-test. Based on the data analysis, the result shows, the significancy is 0,964 (two tails) and α is 0,05. In other ways, it shows there is no significant differences of creativity between both of them. So, both of them have same creativity. The researcher suggests a further research to combine  the instrument by using  Tes Kreativitas Verbal (TKV) and Tes Kreativitas Figural (TKF). So, it can collect the data  more complete and accurate. And also, to compare another school that has different curriculum that aims to improve student‘s creativity. Keywords : creativity, students, primary school

The design used in this study is a descriptive research using a questionnaire. The study involves 80 respondentsdrawn from a population of 180 people.Measuring instruments used are the Ways of Coping Questionnaire (WCQ) developed by Lazarus and Folkman (1984,) which has been modified by the researcher. The questionnaire consists of 43 items with each item validity between 0.303 to 0.640 and the degree of reliability of 0.790. From the research,it is found out that 46.25% of Garuda peacekeepers post duty in the Democratic Republic of The Congo use both types of stress copingstrategies. A total of 28.75% uses stress coping strategies that focus on problem and as much as 25% uses coping strategies focused on emotion. Suggestions for further research is to conduct research on the effectiveness of coping stress strategies in order to obtain an idea of the effective stress coping strategies for the soldier in charge of the country, especially after duty of the Congo. The researchercan also do research on how strong the contribution of degree of stress, work experience in their influence on the use of stress coping strategies. Keywords: coping stress, garuda peacekeepers

Abstract

Abstract. Procrastination is frequently found in around 30% to 60% of college students. Research that examines academic procrastination is associated with adaptive-maladaptive perfectionism, general self-efficacy, and sociodemographic factors, expected to gain a comprehensive understanding of procrastination so that anticipatory and countermeasures can be implemented. The target population of this study was male and female college students from state and private universities. The questionnaire was distributed physically and digitally (google-form) to 208 participants using the snowball sampling technique. Theresearch instrument consisted of the Academic Procrastination Scale (APS), The Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (FMPS), General Self-Efficacy (GSE), and questions on sociodemographic factors. All research instruments have been tested and met the criteria of validity and reliability. After the data cleaning and coding process, the data were assessed using multiple regressions dan hierarchical regression. The data analysis revealed that perfectionism and self-efficacy were generally predictors of procrastination. Similarly, from the results of model testing, all sociodemographic factors simultaneously affected procrastination, but gender was in line with influencing procrastination. Research findings show that procrastination was more motivated by many anxieties due to excessive attention to mistakes and doubts in acting. This research has limitations, namely the origin of the participating universities, primarily private universities rather than state universities. As a result, the level of variability of data sources tends to below. However, this study results can be followed up to address the issue of academic procrastination. Keywords: academic procrastination; adaptive and maladaptive perfectionism; general self-efficacy; sociodemographic

Abstract

Purpose – Building on mindset theory (growth and fixed mindsets), which emphasizes beliefs about the malleability of ability, and the concept of academic hardiness (commitment, control, challenge) as a source of resilience in coping with academic pressure, this study examines the roles of both factors in university students' academic stress. Prior research has more often tested mindset or hardiness separately, leaving the extent of their simultaneous contributions to predicting academic stress unclear, particularly in student populations. Hence, the present study is designed to examine the effect of mindset and academic hardiness on the students' view of academic stress.Methodology – This study employed a quantitative correlation design using convenience sampling, involving 468 undergraduate students in the city of Bandung. The data were analyzed using multiple regression and collected through the Mindset Scale, the Revised Academic Hardiness Scale (RAHS), and the Academic Stress Inventories.Findings – Academic hardiness was a significant and negative predictor of academic stress, whereas mindset was not a significant predictor of academic stress. The model accounted for 13.8% of the variance for academic stress, indicating that students' stress is more effectively buffered by resilience-related factors than by the cognitive orientation to stress.Contribution – The findings underscore academic hardiness as a stronger protective factor for managing academic stress. Practically, universities may prioritize strengthening hardiness through stress-management training, challenge-based learning, and support for emotion regulation to promote students’ adaptation and mental health.
