Abstract

Abstract

his study examines the influence of implementing a reward and punishment system on employee work motivation at PT XYZ, a mineral and metal smelter company located in South Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province. The research uses a quantitative approach involving 255 respondents selected through stratified and systematic sampling from a population of 4,245 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS. The results indicate that both reward and punishment significantly affect work motivation, with reward showing a stronger statistical influence. Reward mechanisms such as performance bonuses and recognition enhance employee engagement, while punishment, applied proportionally through warnings or sanctions, helps maintain discipline. Regression analysis reveals that the combined implementation of reward and punishment explains 37.8% of the variance in work motivation. These findings support Herzberg's Two-Factor Theory, suggesting that reward acts as a primary motivator, while punishment serves as a hygienic factor to prevent dissatisfaction. This study highlights the strategic role of a balanced reward and punishment system in shaping productive employee behavior and offers practical insights for similar industrial organizations seeking to enhance workforce motivation and performance.

In the study, the researcher used data from the HR division as a reference for the number of target populations, namely employees working in the Wall Ceramic Industry of PT. XYZ in Karawang. The number of samples to be used in this study is 148. Based on the results of the study regarding the effect of organizational culture, job satisfaction on employee performance in the ceramic industry of PT. XYZ Karawang, it can be concluded that organizational culture has a significant effect on employee performance. Job Satisfaction has the most dominant effect on employee performance. The results of the job satisfaction test show the most dominant factor in increasing employee performance. Simultaneously, the two independent variables, namely organizational culture and job satisfaction, have a significant effect on employee performance. The results of the F test show that the combination of the two variables is 61.5% of the variation in employee performance. This means that employee performance is not only caused by one factor but rather a combination of integration between the company's value system (organizational culture) and employee psychological well-being (job satisfaction).

Abstract

This research explores the impact of user involvement and technical competence on the effectiveness of the Accounting Information System (AIS) at PT Pindad. As a member of the Defend ID holding, PT Pindad supports the strategic goals of Indonesia’s state-owned enterprises (BUMN) in enhancing the national defense sector through the integration and restructuring of information systems. In February 2024, the company launched a system revitalization initiative, implementing SAP powered by High-performance Analytic Appliance (HANA) across its subsidiaries. The primary objective of this study is to assess how user participation and individual technical capabilities influence the performance of the newly adopted AIS. The study applies an associative research method using a stratified sampling technique, with 40 respondents participating. Multiple linear regression analysis was employed to examine the relationship between the independent variables (user involvement and technical competence) and the dependent variable (AIS performance). The results show that user involvement significantly impacts AIS performance, accounting for 41.76%, while technical competence contributes 42.24%. Collectively, both variables explain 84% of the system’s performance, with the remaining 16% attributed to other factors not addressed in this study.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of corporate core values, employee competencies, and leadership styles on employee performance at PT Arkana Solusi Digital (Arkana), an IT service company in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive and verificative methods, as well as a cross-sectional study design. The research population is all employees of Arkana in Jakarta, with 63 respondents participating. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The research results indicate that simultaneously, the company's core values, employee competencies, and leadership style have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.575, which means 57.5% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these three variables. However, partially, the company's core values do not have a significant effect on employee performance (p=0.374), which indicates that the internalization of these values has not been optimal. In contrast, employee competencies (p < 0.001) and leadership style (p = 0.009) have a significant and positive effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Religious organizations such as churches face increasing challenges in maintaining relevance amid rapid social, cultural, and technological changes. This study addresses the issue of how leadership can foster adaptability in a value-based community organization facing dual crisesnamely, the COVID-19 pandemic and a major earthquake. The research aims to examine the relationship between enabling leadership and organizational adaptability, with adaptive space as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative correlational method with a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 102 active ministry members at GBI Mamuju through validated Likert-scale questionnaires. Mediation analysis was conducted using PROCESS v4.2 in SPSS. The findings reveal that enabling leadership does not directly influence organizational adaptability; instead, this relationship is fully mediated by adaptive space. Dimensions such as head space, meetings, virtual and physical environments, and dynamics of conflicting and connecting play a critical role in integrating new ideas into the formal organizational structure. This study highlights that adaptive space serves not merely as a theoretical construct, but as a practical social mechanism that enables collaboration and innovation. The results suggest that investment in social infrastructure is essential for churches to support intergenerational leadership, encourage experimentation, and sustain meaningful transformation.
