Abstract

This study aims to create mathematics learning devices such as a syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets for the 9th grade of junior high school using discovery learning on curved face three-dimensional (cylinder, cone, and sphere) material. The incompatibility instruments arranged by the teacher based on the 2013 Curriculum inspired this research. The 4-D development model was used in this study, and it consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. The validation sheet and student response questionnaires were the instruments used in this study. The learning that was developed was validated by three of the validators and revised based on their suggestions. With very valid categories, the average score of the validation results for the syllabus is 3,79, lesson plans are 3,81, and student worksheet is 3,73. This validation indicates that the syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheet can be sampled. Then, in small groups, valid student worksheets are tested. The average percentage of small group trial results for student worksheets is 92,29 percent, with a very practical category. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets by using discovery learning on curved face three dimensional material for the 9th grade of junior high school has fulfilled valid

Abstract

The rising number of obesity cases among children and adolescents has become a significant public health concern. One contributing factor is the lack of understanding about balanced eating patterns. This community engagement activity aimed to increase public knowledge about the importance of the Isi Piringku (My Plate) concept in preventing obesity, using animated video-based educational media. The educational video was disseminated online through social media platforms Instagram and Facebook. Respondents who accessed the video were asked to complete a post-test and provide feedback via Google Forms. Results showed that out of 117 respondents, the majority stated that the video was easy to understand and improved their knowledge of healthy eating patterns. The highest user interaction was recorded on Instagram, with 190 likes, 69 comments, 11 shares, and 1,500 views. This activity demonstrates that social media can serve as an effective tool for nutrition education, capable of reaching a wide audience efficiently.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the reading literacy skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 238 Palembang in the Indonesian language subject through the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning strategy assisted by interactive quizzes. The main problem faced is the low level of students’ reading literacy skills, as indicated only 7.41% of students achieving the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) before the intervention. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in two cycles, which included the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ reading literacy skills. In the first cycle, learning mastery reached 48.1% with an average score of 63.5, and in the second cycle, it increased to 81.4% with an average score of 81.1. The implementation of interactive quizzes such as Wordwall and Baamboozle in the STAD strategy also proved effective in enhancing active participation, collaboration, and students’ learning motivation. Therefore, the STAD learning strategy assisted by interactive quizzes can be considered an effective alternative teaching strategy to improve reading literacy skills at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Training on the use of Artificial Intelligence-based learning media was held as part of teacher empowerment activities in developing such media. This community service activity was held by the Civic Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. The Community Service Team trained teachers at SMPN 1 Indralaya Selatan, Meranjat Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, to develop Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning media. This training and mentoring aimed to improve teachers' capabilities so they could create innovative and effective learning. The methods applied included counseling, training, and mentoring in direct practice using Artificial Intelligence-based media from Wayground AI, Canva AI, Avatar AI, Renderforest AI, LMS AI, and ChatGPT AI, as well as assessments through pretests and posttests to measure the increase in participants' understanding. The results showed a significant increase in understanding of creating Artificial Intelligence-based learning media, with the average post-test score of participants increasing from 37.7 to 80.03 from a total of 30 participants. The evaluation results showed high satisfaction from participants with the material provided and its relevance to needs in the field. The participants' response was very positive, as evidenced by their active discussions, willingness to experiment with the media, and commitment to creating learning products. The program is planned to continue with follow-up publications in newspapers, YouTube, and journals, as well as evaluation meetings and activity reports. It is hoped that this program will continue to empower teachers to improve and develop AI-based learning media in schools.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the skincare sector and the widespread use of social media, particularly TikTok, have prompted businesses to understand what drives Generation Z's purchasing intentions. This study aims to examine how product quality, cost, and TikTok content influence purchase intentions for Labore products. This study uses quantitative methods with an explanatory focus. To collect data, an online survey was conducted involving 120 Generation Z participants (17-26 years old) who actively use TikTok and have been exposed to Labore content in urban Indonesia. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted after validity, reliability, and classical assumptions (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity) were met. The results show that all three variables have a significant positive effect on purchase intentions (p < 0.05) with product quality as the strongest predictor (β = 0.612; t = 18.117), followed by TikTok content (β = 0.455; t = 14.737) and price (β = 0.092; t = 3.143). The research model explained 91.8% of the variance in purchase intention (R² = 0.918; F = 445.259; p = 0.000). The findings confirm that an integrated strategy combining superior product quality, competitive pricing, and authentic-educational TikTok content can significantly increase Generation Z consumers' purchase intention towards local skincare products.

Abstract

Housing development is one of the important sectors in infrastructure development in a country. However, housing projects often faces challenges in terms of scheduling and time management. Therefore, project scheduling analysis is crucial to ensuret each stage of the project is completed on time and  within  predetermined budget. This study aims determine the processing time of the Tallasa City Alstonia cluster housing construction project using the Project Evaluation Review Technique (PERT) method of development, and to identify the critical activities in housing construction projects. The data collection method used includes direct field observation and the use of the available project time schedule to obtain information on the duration and sequence of each task. The collected data is then analyzed using the PERT method to estimate three times: optimal time, pessimistic time, and most likely/ realistic time. The results showed that the construction duration of the Alstonia Cluster housing project is 351 days, while the planned Time Schedule is 240 days. The conclusion of the PERT analysis indicates that the project is 111 days later than the planned time.

Abstract

Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran, Penyelamatan, dan Penanggulangan Bencana (DPKPDPB) Kota Lubuklinggau Utara 2 merupakan institusi vital yang memerlukan kedisiplinan personel tinggi untuk menjamin responsivitas layanan darurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tata kelola sistem informasi absensi pada instansi tersebut guna memastikan efektivitas, akurasi data, dan dukungan terhadap disiplin pegawai. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja COBIT 5, memfokuskan pada lima sub-domain utama: EDM03 (Ensure Risk Optimisation), APO12 (Manage Risk), EDM05 (Ensure Stakeholder Transparency), DSS05 (Manage Security Services), dan DSS06 (Manage Business Process Controls). Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi observasi langsung, wawancara, dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden dari pihak manajemen dan karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat kematangan (maturity level) sistem informasi absensi berada pada angka 4,01. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa tata kelola sistem saat ini berada pada Level 4 (Managed Process), di mana proses pengelolaan telah terukur, terkendali, dan berjalan secara konsisten

Abstract

Penyebaran Covid-19 sangat berdampak di bidang Pendidikan, terutama dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal ini karena  proses pembelajaran yang biasanya offline berubah mejadi online untuk menekan laju penyebaran Covid-19. Penulisan artikel adalah untuk melihat dan mengkaji dampak yang terjadi akibat penyebaran Covid-19 terhadap bidang pendidikan di perguruan tinggi khususnya yaitu mengenai proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dengan kajian pustakaan. Peneliti ingin menggambarkan fenomena-fenomena yang sedang berlangsung atau sudah terjadi terhadap proses pembelajaran. Data yang dikumpulkan berasal dari pengumpulan jurnal yang berkaitan dengan dampak yang terjadi karena penyebaran Covid-19. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran memiliki beberapa perubahan yang terjadi dari sebelum dan saat adanya Covid-19. Sehingga dalam proses pembelajaran online memiliki dampak positif dan negatif yang mana terjadi tanpa disadari akibat dari perubahan proses pembelajaran dan juga perkembangan proses pembelajaran yang secara Hybrid Learning. Oleh karena itu, dalam pembelajaran secara online harus lebih ditingkatkan lagi agar proses pembelajaran lebih efektivitas dan tidak ada kendala lagi.The spread of Covid-19 has had a huge impact on the education sector, especially in the learning process. This is because the learning process that is usually offline has changed to online to reduce the rate of spread of Covid-19. Writing articles is to see and examine the impact that has occurred due to the spread of Covid-19 on the field of education in tertiary institutions, especially regarding the learning process. This research was conducted qualitatively with descriptive analysis techniques with literature review. Researchers want to describe the phenomena that are ongoing or have occurred in the learning process. The data collected comes from collecting journals related to the impact that has occurred due to the spread of Covid-19. The results of this study indicate that in the learning process there have been some changes that occurred before and during the presence of Covid-19. So that the online learning process has positive and negative impacts which occur unnoticed as a result of changes in the learning process and also the development of the learning process in Hybrid Learning. Therefore, online learning must be further improved so that the learning process is more effective and there are no more obstacles.
