Abstract

Entrepreneurship has become one of the main issues in government policy in various countries. Therefore, understanding entrepreneurial intention (EI) and individual entrepreneurial orientation (IEO) is important for research. EI is influenced by many factors, such as social environment and cultural and psychological factors. IEO is an individual personality characteristic that reflects a tendency to engage in entrepreneurial behavior with three dimensions, namely, innovative, proactive, and risk-taking. However, there has not been much research on IEO and EI in the context of vocational students. So, through this research, the relationship between IEO and EI for vocational students in Indonesia will be explained in detail. This study involved 388 vocational students in West Kalimantan. The participants were randomly selected and analyzed using quantitative methods to test the proposed hypothesis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was a positive and significant relationship between the dimensions of IEO on EI both directly and indirectly. The implications of the results of this research are that agencies and governments tasked with developing entrepreneurial ecosystems must understand the importance of IEOs in increasing EI. Therefore, policies and programs must be designed to develop IEOs and create a conducive environment for individuals to develop as entrepreneurs. However, this study had several limitations. First, this study only involved students from one vocational school. Therefore, the research findings may not necessarily be applicable to large populations. Second, this study used quantitative methods, so it did not explain in depth the individual experiences in forming EI.

Abstract

Corona virus began to run the world in 2019, and started to enter Indonesia in 2020. The government of Indonesia then implemented an alert status telated to public health, and made effort to increase people’s immunity through various ways, where one of which is by vaccination. However, there is a lot of Indonesian refuse to take the vaccine due to their believe, and the massive publication in media that sayas a lot of people die since they had vaccination. Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Sabda Setia collaborate with Dinas Kesehatan, Pengendalian Penduduk, dan Keluarga Berencana socializing the benefits of vaccination, especially the third vaccination called booster to the community in Bengkayang regency. The socialization attended by 100 people from all over Bengkayang. At the end of the socialization, both parties agreed to sign a declaration of the willingness of all officials to carry out the third vaccine.

Abstract

Orientasi kewirausahaan (OK) umumnya telah digunakan sebagai faktor pendukung kinerja usaha namun belum cukup penelitian untuk membuktikan faktor yang berperan untuk membentuk OK. Modal sosial (MS) sebagai elemen penting bagi wirausaha namun terdapat hubungan yang tidak konsisten terhadap OK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan research gap yang dapat dikembangkan pada penelitian selanjutnya dengan menjabarkan kerangka berpikir teoritis mengenai MS yang dihubungkan dengan OK dan juga untuk mengetahui gambaran penelitian yang telah dilakukan di Indonesia selama 5 tahun terakhir yaitu tahun 2017 hingga 2022. Melalui tujuan penelitian tersebut maka metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode studi literatur melalui artikel yang dikumpulkan berdasarkan pencarian dari database garuda kemdikbud. Maka berdasarkan artikel yang telah diidentifikasi dan memenuhi kriteria yang ditentukan, hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa MS perlu dimiliki oleh wirausahawan untuk meningkatkan kinerja usaha dengan dukungan dari OK supaya memperoleh peluang yang dapat digunakan untuk pertumbuhan bisnis yang berkelanjutan dengan membangun aliansi strategis yang mendukung satu sama lain. Selain itu, juga dapat disimpulkan bahwa MS memiliki peran yang penting terhadap peningkatan OK terutama bagi Usaha Kecil, Menengah dan Mikro (UMKM) di Indonesia yaitu dengan adanya MS yang diiring dengan persamaan tujuan dan budaya untuk mengurangi kemungkinan konflik yang terjadi sehingga mempermudah para wirausahawan dalam jaringan tersebut untuk menggunakan sumber daya, pasar dan teknologi. OK juga memiliki peran penting bagi suatu bisnis untuk memiliki kinerja yang semakin baik melalui kemampuan untuk memperoleh peluang baru dan mengalami pertumbuhan yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi bagi pengembangan studi kewirausahaan selanjutnya.
