Abstract

Conflict is a prevalent issue in Indonesia. The spread of ideologies that threaten cultural existence stems from seeds leading to physical violence and a 'culture of war'. Therefore, there is a need for studies on peace education derived from the culture of the community itself, such as in the Dusun Yalahatan community. This community exhibits unique characteristics compared to other villages, where multiple family members within a single household may adhere to different religions, yet they practice mutual tolerance. This pluralistic society is maintained within their social life. The objective of this research is to examine the implementation of peace education values within the Dusun Yalahatan community. This study employs a qualitative approach, with the subjects being members of the Dusun Yalahatan community. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis is conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that the peace education values within the Dusun Yalahatan community include respect for others, gender equality, cooperation, as well as openness and tolerance.

Abstract

Al-Attas is a prominent individual whose concepts continue to spark discussions and used as a reference in highlighting Islam as a world view in the modern era. In general, what underlies al-Attas's thinking is to summarize Muslims in various systems of life, especially in the fields of education and scientific development. As a result, al-Attas' works generally focus on restoring Islamic values as a worldview, encouraging Islamic independence from the slavery of Western civilization, and the concept of desecularization, an effort to integrate science. Therefore, al-Attas proposed several reform concepts in The Concept of Education in Islam, including the Islamization of science, namely the process of deconstructing Western human knowledge and reconstructing it into an Islamic knowledge system, as well as the concept of Islamic education which aims to create perfection. namely humans who are aware of their individuality and technical skills. The type of research used in this research is library research (penelitian kepustakaan) with the aim of finding out Naquib Al-Attas' thoughts on the concept of education in Islam. Abstrak Al-Attas merupakan salah satu tokoh yang gagasannya masih diperdebatkan dan dijadikan acuan dalam menyoroti Islam sebagai pandangan dunia di era modern. Secara umum, yang mendasari pemikiran al-Attas adalah kemunduran umat Islam dalam berbagai sistem kehidupan, khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Alhasil, karya-karya al-Attas secara umum fokus pada pemulihan nilai-nilai Islam sebagai pandangan dunia, mendorong kemandirian Islam dari perbudakan peradaban Barat, dan konsep desekularisasi, upaya mengintegrasikan ilmu pengetahuan. Oleh karena itu, al-Attas mengajukan beberapa konsep pembaharuan dalam The Concept Of Education In Islam, antara lain Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan, yaitu proses dekonstruksi ilmu pengetahuan Barat dan merekonstruksinya menjadi sistem pengetahuan Islam, serta konsep pendidikan Islam yang bertujuan untuk menciptakan manusia sempurna. yaitu manusia yang sadar akan individualitas dan keterampilan teknisnya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research), dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pemikiran Naquib Al-Attas Dalam The Concept Of Education In Islam.

Abstract

To achieve the educational objectives, then various approaches are used. One of the approaches is cultural approach. Such as Syarahwandan culture in Wandan society (Banda ely). This culture contains many islamic educational values, then to express the values of Islamic education contained in it, the researcher uses the theory of ethnography with qualitative descriptive method to reveal how the implementation of syarahwandan and the values of Islamic education contained in it. In this study, the researcher found that syarahwandan culture contains aqidah educational values, syari'ah educational values and akhlaq (moral) educational values, so then Syarahwandan culture can be used as a media of modern education for the wandan society (Banda Ely)

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques, while the data analysis involves steps of data reduction, data examination, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Pa’seka Manyiang traditional ceremony in Negeri Tulehu aligns with Islamic teachings, although it incorporates local customs and traditions. The process consists of three stages: preparation, which includes activities such as Kumpul Basudara (gathering relatives), fundraising, and logistical arrangements; implementation, which involves delivering Hikmah Maulud (sermons), collective prayers, dhikr, and blessings upon the Prophet; and closing, which features family entertainment like Sawat dancing and site cleanup. Each stage reflects Islamic educational values, including worship values like charity, ethical values such as fostering relationships and mutual respect, devotional values like dhikr and enjoining good, and faith values like prayer and remembrance of Allah.

Abstract

The Lofu-lofu tradition in marriage ceremonies in Yaputih is a cultural practice carried out by the people of Yaputih for decades as an effort to preserve and maintain the Lofu-lofu tradition. This tradition is practiced during marriage ceremonies and is intended to strengthen social bonds among community members. Furthermore, this tradition is preserved because it embodies Islamic educational values, which have sustained its relevance to this day. This study adopts a qualitative research methodology, employing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through the following steps: data reduction, data analysis, and conclusion drawing, with the researcher acting as the primary instrument. The findings of this study indicate that marriage ceremonies in Yaputih are conducted in accordance with Islamic teachings, while incorporating customary practices or traditions. The marriage process includes several stages: the proposal, the wedding ceremony, and the final stage, known as gulung tikar (literally "rolling the mat"). Throughout the implementation of these ceremonies, several Islamic educational values are observed, including the values of strengthening kinship (silaturahmi), charity (sedekah), mutual assistance (tolong-menolong), worship (ibadah), and respect for parents.

Abstract

In recent decades, Indonesia has witnessed a concerning rise in radical actions, with various acts of violence frequently making headlines despite the government's efforts to foster a harmonious society. Radical groups come from diverse backgrounds, including ethnic and religious affiliations, with religious extremism often seen as the dominant force behind violent incidents. These conflicts, including those with religious motives, continue to emerge even within communities that uphold diversity and coexistence. In response, the development of an Emancipatory Tafsir Module seeks to help deradicalize students in Islamic higher education institutions by providing structured learning materials for Qur’anic Interpretation (Tafsir) courses. This initiative follows five key steps: (1) selecting the relevant course, (2) analyzing the syllabus, (3) defining clear learning objectives, (4) creating effective instructional strategies, and developing a comprehensive module. The module itself includes essential components such as a (a) concept map, (b) learning objectives, (c) lesson plans, (d) study materials, (e) summaries, (f) evaluations, and (g) references. (5) Finally, it undergoes expert review by specialists in Islamic education, Qur’anic studies, linguistics, and instructional design to ensure its effectiveness in promoting critical thinking and preventing radicalization among students.

Abstract

Student learning motivation is an important factor in educational success. This research aims to increase students' learning motivation in the Aqidah Akhlak subject through the application of an activity-based learning model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with two cycles. Each cycle involves the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research results show that the activity-based learning model is able to increase students' learning motivation. In the first cycle, student learning completion only reached 42.11%, but increased to 89.47% in the second cycle. These results indicate that an activity-based approach can be an effective strategy in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pembelajaran agama Islam di sekolah menengah pertama menghadapi tantangan dalam mengakomodasi perbedaan belajar siswa. Dalam konteks ini, penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi menjadi penting untuk memastikan pendidikan yang inklusif dan berorientasi pada pengembangan karakter siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 11 Tual, termasuk langkah konkret yang diambil oleh guru-guru PAI, metode, strategi, dan alat pembelajaran yang digunakan, serta hambatan yang mungkin dihadapi dalam penerapannya. Metode  penelitian ini yaitu penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun lokasi penelitian berada di SMP Negeri 11 Tual, Desa Ohoitahit, Kecamatan Pulau Dullah Utara, Kota Tual. Waktu penelitian dilakukan dari tanggal 17 Januari sampai dengan 17 Februari 2024. Analisis data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi, kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan tahap reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pendidikan agama Islam di SMPN 11 Tual telah berjalan sejak tahun 2021 yang menunjukkan adanya komitmen Kepala Sekolah beserta semua guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi sesuai dengan tingkat pengetahuan, bakat dan minat, serta gaya belajar murid. Selanjutnya pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dapat dikatakan berjalan dengan lancar apabila memenuhi indikator yaitu diferensiasi konten, proses, produk dan lingkungan belajar. Adapun dampak dalam penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pendidikan agama Islam di Sekolah Penggerak SMPN 11 Tual mencakup 3 aspek yaitu peningkatan pemahaman ajaran agama Islam, peningkatan hasil belajar murid, dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif.

Abstract

This program aims to improve the professional competence of educators in West Seram Regency through the formation and management of sustainable and structured learning communities. Activities are carried out through socialization, workshops, and study group activities that include the stages of analysis, planning, implementation, evaluation, and community development. Program participants consist of 12 representative junior high school teachers in the area. The instruments used include training materials, formative assessments, and the use of digital platforms for monitoring and evaluating the process. The results of the implementation showed a significant increase in the pedagogical and professional competence of teachers, strengthening collaborative networks between schools, and understanding of the continuous learning cycle. The learning communities that were formed were able to facilitate the practice of sharing knowledge and experiences, especially in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. Thus, this program contributes to improving the quality of learning that is oriented towards student learning outcomes and encouraging a culture of collaborative learning in the educational unit environment.
