Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology (ICT) through social media has significantly transformed the way people interact. Social media facilitates communication for personal, social, and professional purposes, with Indonesia ranking 10th in average daily social media usage at 197 minutes per day. However, this convenience also presents challenges related to communication ethics. Ethical communication on social media is crucial to ensure interactions respect social and moral values and do not harm others. Key challenges in applying communication ethics include the spread of misinformation, hate speech, privacy violations, and disregard for social norms. This study aims to analyze the ethical challenges in communication through social media and offer solutions to address them. The research uses a literature review method with an analytical approach to relevant sources. The findings are expected to contribute to creating a more positive and responsible digital communication space.

Abstract

Communication skills in the form of public speaking or commonly referred to as public speaking skills are skills that must be possessed by members of society. This is important because with good public speaking skills, they will be able to convey ideas, concepts, and information effectively. The problem is that many members of the Fatayat Sub-Branch Management of Sadang Village, Sadang District feel less or even unable to speak in public because they lack confidence, do not master the material, or do not understand how to do it. That is why Public Speaking training activities are held. This is expected to improve their skills. This activity is carried out in two stages, namely content delivery and practice. Based on the evaluation, the results obtained are very significant. With this activity, it is hoped that it can help develop and improve the ability and creativity in public speaking which can later be useful for members in social life in society and the work environment.

Abstract

The digital era with the advancement of modern technology offers great opportunities for da'wah. Abstract

The ability of an MC (Master Of Ceremony) in hosting an event will determine the success of organizing an event. An MC is not only required to have good public speaking skills but also to be smart, assertive, able to make decisions and look good. An MC must have the ability to build a solemn, respectful and official atmosphere in formal events. The MC's job is to ensure that the event runs smoothly, on time, lively, memorable, and according to the schedule or event rundown. For this reason, basic skills that must be owned and learned by an MC are needed including vocal, verbal and visual.

Abstract

This article aims to explore strategies that are effective in reducing individuals' public speaking anxiety. Anxiety in this context is a psychological challenge that can affect performance and mental well - being. On the other hand, there are psychological strategies, including self - understanding and emotion regulation, as well as practical strategies such as thorough preparation, repeated practice, use of relaxation techniques, and focus on the audience or message. The combination of psychological and practical strategies resulted in a positive impact in holistically reducing anxiety level s. Practical implications involve the development of training programs and psychological interventions to improve public speaking skills. This article contributes to our understanding of how to manage anxiety in public speaking, creating a foundation for thedevelopment of strategies that can be adopted by individuals and public speaking trainers in an effort to improve the quality of communication in public

Abstract

Dengan memiliki tingkat kepercayaan diri yang tinggi, seseorang tidak hanya mampu menghadapi tantangan dengan lebih baik, tetapi juga dapat menjalin hubungan yang lebih positif dengan orang lain. Artikel ini akan membahas beberapa strategi praktis yang dapat membantu individu meningkatkan rasa percaya diri mereka sebagai kunci sukses berkomunikasi. Abstract

This article explores the challenges faced by conventional da'wah when confronted with the dynamics of digital communication on social media. The core issue identified is the limited ability of traditional da'wah approaches to engage younger audiences who are more responsive to interactive and algorithm-driven communication formats. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relevance of classical da'wah methods, map the emerging challenges in the age of social media, and identify transformative opportunities that enable da'wah to remain effective within the digital landscape. This article employs a qualitative analytical method based on literature review, analysis of digital media contexts, and examination of digital communication theories. The findings indicate that the most effective strategy lies in integrating conventional da'wah with digital approaches. The relevance of traditional da'wah becomes even more pronounced when strategically combined with the sophistication of social media. Conventional da'wah serves as an anchor that preserves depth and authenticity, while digital da'wah expands its reach to wider publics, especially young people. Through this combination, da'wah can remain relevant, adaptive, and transformative amid the significant changes brought about by the digital age.
