Abstract

National Education System passed by in June 11, 2003, and entered into force in July 8, 2003, had the alignment toward existing Islamic education, pesantren. Since the modernization of Islamic education system in Indonesia was launched, actually that was influenced by both the Western and the Middle Eastern. There was less number of the like the Moslem boarding school could survive. Many classical Islamic boarding schools variously changed. Some totally evicted by the modern education system and other adopted any methodology of the modern education system. The last received very limited changes of modernization to survive. They changed by revising the system and methods. This article views National Education System as a reference in developing the Islamic education, pesantren as its renewal covers discrimination abolishment on education and justifies the relevance.

Abstract

Independent attitude education for santri (student in islamic boarding school) has existed in Indonesia since long time ago, in general, the pesantren (Islamic boarding school) specializing handle prioritize education of children to read and write the Koran, which is the core element kiai, Mrs. housekeeper, teacher council, students, mosque, hostel, and learning curriculum Koran has become a sub-culture of its own. Because of the character education very early age how urgent it is to form a sub-culture of personal private life tough face reality era of modernization and globalization. In addition, many stakeholders stated that schools are educational institutions that can serve as a model character education in Indonesia. Two questions will be addressed in this paper is how interaction between kyai and santri in forming children's independent attitude  on kids boarding shool This study focuses attention on Nur Mamba'ul Hisan Satreyan Kanigoro Blitar.

Abstract

Kyai is a charismatic leader for their santris (student in islamic boarding school) has existed in Indonesia since long time ago. The Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) was well known as Islamic educational institution to bring up children to read, write and living according to the guidance of the Koran. The core element of Pesantren are Kyai and his wife, students supervisors, teachers council, students, mosque, and curriculum, while teaching the Koran has become a sub-culture of its own. Establishing character education in very early age is urgent to form a positive sub-culture of personal life to face the challenge of modernization and globalization. Furthermore, many stakeholders stated that Pesantren is one of the educational institutions that can serve as a role model for character education in Indonesia. Two questions will be addressed in this paper is how Kyai’s role model can shape children's religious attitude of kids boarding school. This study focuses specifically on Pesantren Nur Mamba'ul Hisan Satreyan Kanigoro Blitar

Abstract

This study aims to identify strategies for strengthening religious identity through the transformation of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja) in Islamic boarding school-based institutions. A library research method with thematic analysis of recent scholarly sources was employed. The findings reveal five key components of effective strategies: integrating Aswaja values into the syllabus, interactive and applicative learning, kyai and teacher leadership as role models, authentic evaluation based on moderation competencies, and continuous policy and teacher training support. These strategies enhance Aswaja identity awareness and foster inclusive religious engagement, enabling pesantren to remain adaptive to contemporary challenges while preserving Islamic scholarly traditions
