Abstract

Three isolates name as Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA), Pseudomonas pseudomallei (PP) and Enterobacter agglomerans (EA) are petroleum hydrocarbon degrader bacteria. They were grown in mineral medium and 10% diesel oil as carbon source. The diesel oil biodegradation by PAEA and PPEA are better than single or other mixed cultures. The diesel oil compounds are oxidized to intermediate product and detected as fatty acids ranged of nC18 to nC8, organic acids, and then it was mineralized. The mineralized products measured as methane, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide. This result showed that during hydrocarbon biodegradation of aliphatic compounds by those isolates through fatty acids formation, simple organic acids, and simple volatile organic carbon. The mineralized product of methane, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide were emitted to the environment. Keywords: Biodegradation, diesel oil, Pseudomonas, Enterobacter, minerallized

Abstract

Penggunaan sepeda motor saat ini mengalami peningkatan yang sangat pesat. Dampaknya adalah konsumsi bahan bakar yang juga meningkat. Teknologi sepeda motor semakin maju dan berkembang, dari mesin 2 tak menjadi 4 tak, dari sistem bahan bakar karburator menjadi injeksi. Sepeda motor RX-King masih menggunakan mesin 2 tak dan sistem karburator. Di dalam karburator terdapat lubang/pipa venturi yang pengaruhnya sangat besar terhadap putaran mesin dan konsumsi bahan bakar sesuai besarnya diameter venturi. Dari latar belakang tersebut, maka dapat dilakukan analisa pengaruh ukuran venturi terhadap konsumsi bahan bakar. Penelitian dilakukan dengan variasi ukuran venturi karburator 26,3 mm, 27,8 mm dan 28,8 mm dengan putaran mesin 4000 rpm (54 km/jam) dan bahan bakar premium. Pengujian dilakukan dengan mengukur dan mencatat waktu dari konsumsi bahan bakar, kemudian menganalisa venturi standart, perbesaran dan pengecilan diameter venturi. Adapun hasil dari setiap diameter venturi karburator terhadap konsumsi bahan bakar adalah masing-masing venturi 26,3 mm adalah 8,48 menit, pada venturi 27,8 mm (standart) adalah 7,14 menit dan pada venturi 28,8 mm adalah 6,15 menit. Sehingga pengecilan diameter venturi karburator dapat mengurangi konsumsi bahan bakar 18,77% tanpa mengurangi kinerja/performa kendaraan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of discipline, work motivation and work ability on the performance of employees of PT BIJAK Bogor Learning Center Unit either simultaneously or partially. Questionnaires were distributed to 101 respondents. The results of the validity and reliability tests indicated that all questions were stated to be valid and reliable. The results of multiple correlation analysis stated that there were very strong relationships between discipline, work motivation and work ability on the performance of employees of PT BIJAK, the result of the coefficient of determination can be explained by 70.8%. The multiple regression analysis F test (simultaneous) states that there is a positive and significant effect simultaneously between discipline, work motivation and work ability on the performance of employees of PT WISE. The results of the t (partial) test state that discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and work ability has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. BIJAK Bogor Learning Center Unit.
