Abstract

Abtract: Bengkulu University Hospital (UNIB Hospital) in the current time, the building has not been built physically. From the location of the building footprint and the fairly dense circulation path, we found problems in the form of an inappropriate accessibility pattern to be used as the main access route to enter the hospital area. The purpose of the study was to obtain data on the condition of the circulation path around the construction site of the UNIB Hospital. The approach consists of regional data collection and analysis using the concept of accessibility. Data analysis begins by examining the condition of vehicle circulation around the site and surrounding buildings and analyzing accessibility with the software space syntax. The results showed that 98% of respondents thought this area needed to reorganize. The results of the analysis of software space syntax on micro-accessibility in the UNIB Hospital area along the main route in front of the site, the integration value is high with a red view. In the current vehicle path surrounding the site, the integration value is knowing the yellow color. The behind area has a low integration value with a green color update. Mainline connectivity in front of the tread is high with red color options. Several connectivity lines in the site area have a blue color pattern with low connectivity.

Abstract

An attractive tourist village is a village that has its uniqueness and characteristics, both from its natural beauty, and culture and also the potential of its human resources. The concept of a tourist village will have a positive impact on a village in preserving the nature and culture of the village and requires community participation so that the community itself has a high sense of ownership and feels the benefits of the existence of a tourist village. Tumbuk Tebing Village is a village that is starting to pioneer in making this area a tourist village, starting to explore the existing tourism potential and introducing it to the tourism industry. The management of a locally-based tourist village requires the concern and participation of the community itself always to innovate and be creative in developing their village area which is used as a tourist village. This community service is carried out by providing initial knowledge related to tourism villages, especially seeing the potential in the Tumbuk Tebing Village Area, South Bengkulu Regency, including beaches with white rocks, rice fields, habitat for white stork colonies, swamp birds, and a strong rural environment that can be packaged in the concept of Community-based Tourism, conducting question and answer discussions, and conducting surveys on attractions, accessibility, and existing facilities. This community service activity is expected to help Tumbuk Tebing Tourism Village, South Bengkulu Regency, in realizing becoming a tourist destination.

Abstract

Color is one of the knowledge that children must know. Therefore, since childhood, the introduction to color has been carried out, one of which is in elementary school. Until now, elementary schools that are partners tend to use the method of lecture, discussion, and memorization. Therefore, this service aims to introduce to partners the experimental method as one of the learning methods that has various advantages. The service began with group division, delivery of material about color characteristics, and conducting six kinds of experiments, namely walking water, changing color, rainbow in the plate, rainbow rain, lava lamp, and changing color with cabbage. From the service activities, it was found that students could understand the characteristics of colors correctly and were very enthusiastic about conducting experiments. In addition, the cohesiveness of students in experimenting is also intertwined. With this service activity, it is hoped that partners can make experimentation as one of the interesting classroom learning methods for students.

Abstract

Mosque is preferable for shelter or refuge area in emergency situation from natural disaster in Indonesia. Therefore, additional function for a mosque is needed. This paper will discuss how to create a shelter mosque for earthquake and tsunami hazard. Site was located at University of Bengkulu, one of disaster evacuation area appointed by Bengkulu City regulation. Two main design variables used are the height level of evacuation floor area which determined by tsunami wave height prediction, and the convenience of site and building circulation path. Space syntax analysis were conducted to find the best circulation path design. Building design proposed as the result of this study are evacuation area on 2nd floor level or in the elevation of 8,5m, 3 site entrance along with the circulation path, and 4 vertical access to reach evacuation area on 2nd floor. The farthest access to reach evacuation area (height level of 16,5m) from site entrance is 12 minutes. This proposed shelter mosque are expected to be a placed for interaction, worship, and shelter for University academician and community around the campus when disaster occurred.
