Abstract

Strengthening the capacity of health cadres is a key element in supporting the transformation of primary health services in Indonesia. This activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in implementing Primary Service Integration (ILP) at the Sleman Health Center. The training was conducted in Nogotirto Village, Gamping, Sleman Regency, using a practice-based approach, which involved providing training materials, simulations, and evaluations before and after the training. This method is designed to improve cadres' knowledge and skills about primary service integration through hands-on experience in the field. Most of the cadres involved in the training are between 41-50 years old (64%), with a background in the housewife profession (80%), and have experience as cadres for 1-10 years (48%). This characteristic indicates that the trainees have sufficient expertise to understand the needs in the field, although they still need to strengthen the technical and managerial aspects. The training results showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres by 42,1% and 32.1%, respectively. The most significant improvement was seen in the management skills of Posyandu and health services for adults and the elderly, by 35.7% each. However, challenges are still found, especially in simple technology-based recording and reporting, as well as the need to improve skills in every aspect, including Posyandu management, health services for infants and toddlers, school children and adolescents, pregnant and postpartum women, as well as adulthood and the elderly. Cadre capacity is important in improving the overall health status of the community, thereby contributing to the transformation of primary health services in Indonesia. To support the successful implementation of ILP, technical assistance is still needed so that the implementation of the program is in accordance with the guidelines that have been determined by the Ministry of Health.

Abstract

Abstrak: Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit kronis yang disebabkan oleh genetik dan atau kekurangan produksi insulin oleh pankreas, atau oleh tidak efektifnya insulin yang diproduksi. DM banyak menimbulkan komplikasi kardiovaskular, sistem syaraf, ginjal dan mengalami infeksi lainnya. Pengetahuan penyandang DM sebagian besar cukup. Kegiatan ditujukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam pencegahan komplikasi ulkus diabetik pada penyandang DM Tipe 2 di Wilayah Puskesmas Gamping II Sleman. Edukasi menggunakan media leaflet yang dilakukan secara hybrid secara luring maupun daring pada kelompok penyandang DM tipe 2 di Puskesmas Gamping 2 Sleman sebanyak 63 responden. Pengetahuan responden sebelum diberikan edukasi melalui leaflet dan e-leaflet sebagian besar berpengetahuan sedang yaitu 28 orang (44,44%). Setelah diberikan edukasi pengetahuan penyandang DM mayoritas berpengetahuan baik yaitu 48 orang (76,19%). Hasil uji statistik nilai p=0,000, artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan tingkat pengetahuan penyandang DM di wilayah Puskesmas Gampng II, sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi dengan menggunakan leaflet dan e-leaflet. Media edukasi dengan media leaflet secara daring dan luring dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam pencegahan komplikasi ulkus diabetik pada penyandang Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di Wilayah Puskesmas Gamping II Sleman.   Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease caused by genetic and/or insufficient production of insulin by the pancreas or by ineffective insulin production. DM causes many cardiovascular complications, including nervous system, kidneys, and other infections. The knowledge of the DM is mostly sufficient. Event to increase knowledge in the prevention of complications of diabetic ulcers in patients with type 2 DM in the Puskesmas Gamping II Sleman. Education using a media leaflet that is performed hybridly, either online or with a group of people with type 2 DM in Puskesmas Gamping II Sleman, as many as 63 respondents. Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus knowledge before given education through leaflets and e-leaflets is mostly knowledgeable; the average is 28 people (44.44%). After being given education, well-known majority is 48 people (76.19%). p = 0.000, which means that there is a significant difference in the level of knowledge of the DM in the Puskesmas Gampng II before and after giving education using leaflets and e-leaflets. Educational media with online and offline media can enhance knowledge in the prevention of complications of diabetic ulcers in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Puskesmas of Gamping II Sleman.
