Abstract

The Istora-Senayan Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) area is a strategically located gateway for tourists and foreign investors coming to Jakarta. It is near the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex, a venue for international sporting events, and the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), the business hub of Jakarta. This area holds great potential due to its connectivity. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of connectivity principles in the Istora-Senayan Area. The research method utilized a qualitative approach with spatial analysis and descriptive analysis. The findings indicate that 74.4% of the Istora-Senayan area meets the requirements for access to public transportation, as it is within a maximum walking distance of 800 meters. However, accessibility for people with disabilities is not fully integrated, especially in the SCBD area, where high visitor density poses challenges due to guiding blocks on pedestrian ways managed by SCBD. The proposed solution is to integrate guiding blocks throughout the Istora-Senayan Area to facilitate people with disabilities in using pedestrian ways.

Abstract

Title: Study of The Development of Kawasan Sentra Sepatu Cibaduyut Oriented to Shopping Tourism Attraction Kawasan Sentra Sepatu Cibaduyut has a history as a shoe hub Kecamatan Bojongloa Kidul of Bandung City. In 1989, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia officially designated the Kawasan Sentra Sepatu Cibaduyut as a tourist attraction. As a tourist destination, this must consider crucial aspects that influence shopping tourism activities, such as tourism concepts and elements affecting shopping tourism activities. This research focuses on shopping tourism activities in Kawasan Sentra Sepatu Cibaduyut, conducting in-depth interviews with key subjects involved in tourism activities, including shoe manufacturers, shoe material vendors, shoe retailers, and local visitors as research subjects in shopping tourism activities. The interview results are then used to assess the elements of shopping tourism activities within the framework of the fundamental 3A tourism component, which includes attractions, amenities, and accessibility. The synthesis of 3A tourism components with respondent preferences as a result of interviews became the alternative design for developing shopping tourism attractions in Kawasan Sentra Sepatu Cibaduyut. This research has resulted in proposed planning points and the design of new tourist points and activities in Kawasan Sentra Sepatu Cibaduyut, which are oriented toward shopping tourism attractions.

Abstract

Tourism development is generally directed towards leading sectors that can boost economic growth, increase local revenue, and expand job opportunities. One form of tourism that is being developed is nature-based tourism, namely lakes. Sebedang Lake is a natural tourism object included in the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) for Sambas Regency and its surroundings. Sebedang Lake is also the only natural lake along the northern coast of West Kalimantan. This research aims to analyze the tourism aspects of Sebedang Lake. In identifying existing conditions in the Lake Sebedang area, there are several identification activities including attractions, amenities, accessibility, accommodation, and the stakeholders involved. The research method used is a qualitative approach using descriptive analysis with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, field notes, personal documentation, spatial analysis, and other official documents. An analysis of Sebedang Lake's tourism development reveals several shortcomings. Attractions and activities cluster near the main access, neglecting the broader area's potential. Amenity distribution suffers a similar imbalance, leaving vast stretches underserved. Accommodation options are limited to just two villas/homestays. While the main access road boasts good condition and high accessibility, inadequate lighting hampers safety. Furthermore, unpaved pathways to activity points pose an inconvenience. Stakeholder involvement includes the Sambas Regency Tourism Office,Pokdarwis, and local communities, each playing their part.
