Abstract

Dental health education is used as a measuring tool to generate knowledge and awareness that can influence a person's attitudes and habits towards oral and dental hygiene. Low oral health knowledge can be affected to children's attitudes and actions. The study aims to determine the effect of guidance on the technique of brushing teeth on the oral hygiene status of mentally retarded children, the output of this study is expected to be useful as a reference in improving the ability of brushing techniques and oral and dental hygiene. The research design was quasy experimental design with a pre test and post test with control group approach. The study was conducted at SLB Wiyata Dharma 4 Godean Sleman in October 2019. Data analysis using t-test statistical tests. The results showed that there was an increase in knowledge, abilities and status of dental and oral hygiene of mentally retarded children. Statistical test results obtained p value = 0.00 The conclusion of the study was that there was a significant influence between the guidance of brushing teeth on the oral and dental hygiene status of mentally retarded children. It is recommended that mentally retarded children increase awareness and apply brushing knowledge in maintaining oral and dental hygiene.

Abstract

Children with disabilities have equal opportunity in obtaining health insurance through the Government's National Health Insurance (Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional) program organized by Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) Kesehatan. This study aims to find out the protection of the right to health insurance for children with disabilities. The legal status of children with disabilities within the framework of the National Health Insurance as mandated in the 1945 Constitution of the State of the Republic of Indonesia Article 28 (h) paragraph (1) and Article 34 paragraph (2) have not been explicitly stated in the legislation in below it.This research uses sociological juridical approach and qualitative research method. The data used are primary data and secondary data through field study and literature study. The field study was conducted by interviewing the Director of Operations of Soegijapranata Social Foundation, Semarang Archidiose, Head of Al Rifdah Foundation of Semarang City, Representative of Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) of Semarang City Health, Head of the Double Disability Orphanage Management Bhakti Asih Kota Semarang, and the Chairman of the Double Disability Orphanage Management Al Rifdah Semarang City. The analysis used qualitative methodsThe results of the study indicate that there is no national regulation on health insurance rights for children with disability explicitly as mandated by the Constitution and Law Number 40 Year 2004 regarding National Social Security System. The obstacles that are experienced are in the case of regulations which regulating health insurance for children with disabilities are not harmonious and not clearly regulate about health insurance rights for children with disabilities. In addition, there are also obstacles in the form of administrative factors, the management of the Double Disability Children's Orphanage has difficulties in applying for children with disability who are cared or hospitalized just because there is no Identity Number and Family Card Number which is the main requirement to register the National Health Insurance program. Children with Disabilities in Al-Rifdah Dual Disability Orphanage have received the contribution of Health Insurance Semarang City, but this has not been obtained by Children with Disabilities in Double Disability Orphanage Management Bhakti Asih.

Abstract

Background; At the health center Bulu Lor Semarang was obtained employees dissatisfaction to leadership, compensation, work environment, promotion opportunities, and supervision. The purpose of this study was to determine the fit between the expectations and reality of employee’s job satisfaction in the organizational aspects of the health center Bulu Lor Semarang. Method; This research is an observational method and cross sectional survey. The research aspects were leadership, compensation, work environment, promotion opportunities, and supervision. The sample was civil servant who works in the health center of Bulu Lor Semarang totaling 17 people. The instrument in this study was using questionnaire that given twice, the first are expectations and the second are reality.  Analysis of the research data was using Importance- Performance Analysis by Cartesian Diagram. Result; The results showed the level of suitability between expectation and reality employees are leadership 89.95%, compensation 82.82%, work environment 76,47%, promotion opportunities 86.59%, and supervision 84.50%. Summary of Cartesian diagram analysis shows that work environment needs to be fixed and there are aspects to maintain; compensation and leadership. Conclusions; It can be concluded that characteristics of the respondents in the health center of Semarang Bulu Lor percentage are, 58.8% Early Adult (26-35 years), 82.4% female, 82.4% are highly educated (D3, D4, S1), 76.5% period the new work is less than 10 years, and each as much as 17.6% holding positions as doctors, Sanitarian, Nurse, Administrative staff, The level of suitability between expectation and reality employees are leadership 89.95%, compensation 82.82%, work environment 76,47%, promotion opportunities 86.59%, and supervision 84.50%. Summary of Cartesian diagram analysis shows that work environment needs to be fixed and aspects to maintain are compensation and leadership

Abstract

Background: The aspect of mindset of the elderly in Santa-Kruz, Nain-Feto, Dil, Timor-Leste, which considers the cause of tooth loss and the use of dentures is not important and some can be less concerned about oral and dental health, is one factor. Promotion of using pocketbooks to knowledge to increase the motivation of the elderly in the use of dentures. Objectives: To get to know the effectiveness of pocketbooks in increasing knowledge and motivation for the use of dentures. Methods: This study used a quasi-experiment, and the research design used a pre-test and post-test. The population in the study all elderly in Santa-Kruz District, Nain-Feto, Dili District, sample 70 people was taken total sampling technique. Questionnaire research instrument. Analysis results study using the statistical test Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Results: Level of knowledge and motivation for using dentures before using pocketbooks with good (28.6%), medium (57.1%), and bad (14.3%) categories. Motivation is good (42.9%), moderate (28.6%), and bad (28.4%). After promotion with good (91.4%), bad (2.9%), bad 0. Good motivation (97.1%), moderate (2.9%), bad 0. Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test analysis between the level of knowledge and motivation is a p-value (0.00) < (0.05), and the Mann-Whitney Test analysis between the level of knowledge and motivation is a p-value (0.00) < (0.05), from the results of this study shows the effectiveness of promotion using pocketbooks on knowledge about tooth loss and motivation for using dentures in the elderly. Conclusions: There was an increase in knowledge about tooth loss and motivation for using dentures after the promotion of using pocketbooks.
