Abstract

Engineering Mechanics as one of the courses that support courses, especially civil engineering study programs, must be truly mastered by students. Lack of mastery of the field of mechanics can result in declining learning achievement in courses in the building engineering department. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to master engineering mechanics has an influence on completing concrete construction calculations in the Civil Engineering study program. This study is a descriptive study. The sample in this study was 64 students using the Total Sampling technique, namely taking samples with the same number as the population. Data collection was carried out in the following ways: a. The ability to master engineering mechanics was obtained from the results of semester exams. b. The ability of students to complete concrete construction was obtained by using the experimental method to see from a treatment and create concrete construction questions related to material with engineering mechanics. The data analysis technique used was the statistical analysis technique with regression and correlation analysis. Data collected from 64 sample members included the ability to master engineering mechanics (X) and the ability of students to complete concrete construction (Y). The results of the study showed the degree or level of relationship between the ability to master engineering mechanics and students' ability to complete concrete construction calculations is r = 0.947. Thus the coefficient of determination r2 = 0.89, this means that 89.7% of the variations answered are also students' ability to complete concrete construction calculations determined by the ability to master engineering mechanics and the rest by other factors.

Abstract

The use of study time is very important in successfully improving student learning achievement. The purpose of this study is to how the use of study time affects the learning achievement of Civil Engineering Study Program students, Faculty of Engineering Unima, How is the Learning Achievement of Civil Engineering Study Program students, Faculty of Engineering Unima, and is there an influence between the use of study time on the learning achievement of Civil Engineering Study Program students, Faculty of Engineering, Mando State University. The method used in this study is observation with a qualitative and descriptive approach to obtain an overview of the use of study time on student learning achievement. This approach emphasizes the role of the researcher as the main instrument in understanding the nature of the subject. Data collection methods involve triangulation, data analysis that has an inductive nature, and focus on meaning rather than generalization. The results of the data analysis obtained for the use of study time are 35 students (62.8%) with the category of sufficient use of study time while for the learning achievement of Civil Engineering Study Program students, Faculty of Engineering Unima is in the very satisfactory category with the results of 15 students (37.2%) and there is a relevant relationship if the use of study time students of Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering Unima is less, the lower the achievement index achieved value with a significance level (p) of 0.010.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what is suitable for use in hydraulics courses based on learning motivation for completing assignments for students majoring in Building Engineering Education, Manado State University which can be used as a reference in developing hydraulics learning applications. This research uses a correlational description method. The results of this research show that student motivation for the hydraulics course shows that the influence of student learning motivation on completing course assignments has a positive direction, where from the results of the analysis the regression equation is obtained Ŷ= 14.6442 + 0.3635X, meaning that if there is an increase in changes in learning motivation, then the change in completion of structure course assignments will automatically increase as well. From the results of hypothesis testing, the correlation coefficient r = 0.7697 and determination r2 = 0.5929 are obtained. These results indicate that 59.29% of the variation that occurs in the process of completing hydraulics course assignments is influenced by learning motivation. It should be noted above that the average value of learning motivation is 76% of the expected value, namely 110 (from 22 question items), the average value for completing structured course assignments is 42.27 from the expected value, namely 60 (from 12 question items). B0 value = 14.6442 and B1 value = 0.3635. In this condition, students' completion of hydraulics course assignments only reaches an average score of 42.7, but if students have good learning motivation (optimally) then the level of assignment completion will also increase. This quantitative value can be said to be very good, because the completion of course assignments Students' hydraulics courses are influenced by learning motivation by 59.29% while the rest are influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain empirical data regarding the relationship between the level of mastery of engineering mechanics and student learning achievement in hydraulics courses in the Civil Engineering study program, Faculty of Engineering, Unima. This research research is classified as a descriptive method which is correlational because the aim is to detect the extent of the relationship between the level of mastery of engineering mechanics and student learning achievement in hydraulics courses. The technique used in data collection is documentation technique. The population in the research is all Civil Engineering students with a total of 22 people from the class of 2019 to the class of 2022. The results of the research show that testing the hypothesis obtained a correlation coefficient of r = 0.322 and determination r2 = 0.1103. These results indicate that 11.03% of the variation that occurs in learning achievement in the Hydraulics course is influenced by mastery of engineering mechanics. The magnitude of this qualitative determining power can be said to be still lacking, because students' learning achievement in hydraulics courses is influenced by the level of mastery of engineering mechanics by 11.03% while the remaining 88.97% is determined by other factors..

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the functional relationship between the implementation of the use of study time on student learning achievement. The subjects of this research were students majoring in building engineering education. The benefits of this research are: 1. It can be used as input for students in improving their efforts, to develop the effectiveness of using study time to improve student learning outcomes. 2. Can detect the extent of the relationship between the level of discipline in the use of time, the distribution of study time and the use of student free time for study. 3. Can be used as empirical data to develop the teaching and learning process in lectures. 4. Can be used as reference material for conducting research in the future. The indicators are discipline in the use of time, distribution of study time, use of free time and average grades for the even semester of 2023/2024. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended that students use their study time as well as possible to try to repeat the lessons they have just learned/given by the lecturer, use their free time to study, then their learning achievements will be more successful.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of workshops with student learning achievement in the subject of theory and work practice with student learning achievement in the subject of theory and practice of door and window frame work of students majoring in building at SMK Negeri 3 Tondano. The technique used in data collection is to use a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire and distributed to students to obtain data on the use of workshops and documentation to obtain student learning outcomes in the subject of door and window frame work, in this study student learning outcomes are student report card scores. The results through student learning achievement at SMK Negeri 3 Tondano can be grouped into 3 categories, namely high scores, medium scores and low scores. Where high scores are 30%, medium scores are 20% and low scores are 50%. This shows that the learning achievements achieved by students at SMK Negeri 3 Tondano are still lacking.

Abstract

The development of science in the field of construction in Indonesia at present is very rapid, including in the construction of housing, offices, high-rise buildings, hospitals, bridges and other infrastructure. To achieve high concrete quality, it is very dependent on the materials of sand, gravel and reinforced concrete used in the planned construction. Therefore, from the principles stated above, a number of problems related to concrete quality can be identified, considering the scope of the problem is very broad, so not all of the above problems are studied the actual concrete design content. The purpose of this study is to determine the Quality of Concrete Construction Materials in the Pastori Tiga Building of GMIM Yudea Paal Dua and is expected to provide general information in the world of Civil Engineering and for areas that have natural resources so as not to cause doubts in its use as a coarse aggregate in a concrete mixture whether it can be in accordance with the desired or expected quality. The method used in this study is the Exploratory Survey Method where this method is used to determine the quality of sand and gravel building materials, through laboratory testing. To obtain data on the quality characteristics of sand and gravel quality, these materials are tested through the laboratory by assuming the regulatory instructions regarding the quality testing of sand and gravel quality according to PBI 1971 NI. The data analysis results obtained showed that the sand tested, from Manado City, was suitable for use because it met the requirements of ASTM C 35-37, PBI-71, NI 2, and did not require washing. The gravel tested, from Manado City, was unsuitable for use because it did not meet the requirements of ASTM or PBI-71 and required gradation improvement. This was due to the presence of grains larger than 31.5 mm.

Abstract

The development of Tomohon City as a tourism hub in North Sulawesi has accelerated significantly, triggering a surge in economic activities and consequently increasing the demand for electrical energy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between economic growth and electricity consumption in Tomohon City, identifying the implications for energy infrastructure planning. A descriptive survey method was employed, using secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency and PT PLN. Data on electricity supply and economic indicators such as Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) were presented in tables, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate growth patterns from 2010 to 2021. Findings reveal that both electricity consumption and installed capacity have increased steadily, with electricity sales rising from 38.4 GWh in 2014 to 48.3 GWh in 2020 and customer numbers increasing from 24,575 to 29,770 over five years. Economic indicators such as GRDP also showed consistent growth, particularly in the tourism, trade, and accommodation sectors. The average annual growth in electricity production was 4.68%, highlighting the need for proactive energy planning. The study concludes that the economic development of Tomohon City is positively correlated with rising electricity demands. It recommends that stakeholders, including PT PLN and local government bodies, develop anticipatory infrastructure strategies to ensure sustainable energy supply, particularly as tourism continues to expand. This research provides critical insight into aligning energy provision with regional economic development priorities.
