Abstract

In recent years, mindfulness-based interventions, or MBIs, have drawn a lot of attention as a potentially effective strategy for enhancing mental health and wellbeing. In order to perform a bibliometric analysis of the literature on mental health and MBIs, this study looked at collaborative networks, prominent publications and authors, research themes, and patterns in research production. Notable discoveries include a notable increase in research production, with a spike in activity starting in the early 2000s, which reflects the growing acceptance of mindfulness in relation to mental health. The development of the area has been attributed to seminal publications, eminent writers, and interdisciplinary cooperation. The neurological underpinnings of mindfulness, stress reduction, and the management of anxiety and depression were the main research themes. These results highlight the value of MBIs in treating mental health issues and offer directions for further study and application.

Abstract

Detention has become increasingly isolated since the Corona Virus Diseases 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, as policies to prevent COVID-19 transmission have emerged. This may cause increased stress among inmates. Some research evidence links stress to poor health, memory loss, Alzheimer's, and dementia in general. Intrinsic and extrinsic stress factors are likely to persist as long as inmates are incarcerated (prison). Thus, stress, dementia, and stress regulation counseling and training are required. We educate inmates at the Palu male prison about dementia recognition, prevention, stress, and stress regulation.

Abstract

Abstract. ABSTRACT  Background: The many socialized side effects of smoking do not reduce the number of cigarette use in Indonesia. Indonesia is the 3rd most cigarette user in the world. Of the many side effects of tobacco, sleep cycle disturbance is the most common symptom in active smokers. The symptoms that arise are a feeling of alertness and wakefulness, which is the stimulus effect of the nicotine content contained in cigarettes which, in this case, causes insomnia.  Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between smoking as a risk factor for insomnia in active adolescent smokers  Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample was Batch 2021 students at the Faculty of Law, Tadulako University, with 88 respondents classified based on smoking. Data analysis using a non-parametric statistical test, Spearman's correlation.  Result: the significance value of the study was 0.000 indicating a significant relationship between smoking behavior and the incidence of insomnia. From the results, most respondents were light smokers with mild insomnia, and respondents who were moderate smokers experienced moderate insomnia, and there were no samples who were heavy smokers.  Conclusion: There is a relationship between cigarette consumption and the incidence of insomnia in active adolescent smokers.
