Abstract

Indonesia's rich and diverse cultural diversity is an important basis for forming student character. The Merdeka curriculum, with the material "Unity in Diversity: Get to Know the Indonesian Nation", is designed to teach the values of diversity from an early age. This research focuses on the implementation of this material in class IV D of SDN 210 Babakan Sinyar to form a globally diverse character in students. The aim of this research is to analyze how the implementation of the material "Unity in Diversity: Get to Know the Indonesian Nation" can improve students' understanding and attitudes towards diversity, as well as identifying challenges and obstacles faced in the learning process. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data was collected through interviews with teachers and students, learning observations, as well as analysis of curriculum documents and learning implementation plans (RPP). The research subjects were Mrs. Ayu Sugiarti Rahayu, class IV D teacher, and 20 class IV D students at SDN 210 Babakan Sinyar. Research Results: Implementation of the material "Unity in Diversity: Get to Know the Indonesian Nation" shows significant effectiveness in increasing students' understanding of national diversity. Active and collaborative learning methods, such as group discussions, educational games, and group presentations, enable students to internalize the concept of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika well. The results of formative and summative evaluations show that the majority of students are able to apply diversity values in daily interactions, showing increased attitudes of tolerance and respect for differences. Challenges and Obstacles: The main challenges in this learning include limited time in the curriculum, lack of adequate supporting resources, and differences in students' cultural and social backgrounds. In remote areas, access to technology and information is still an obstacle, and the perception that parents do not fully understand the importance of education about cultural diversity is also an obstacle. Strategies to Overcome Challenges: The strategies implemented include integrating material into other subjects, using information and communication technology (ICT) in learning, as well as increasing parental and community involvement in supporting diversity education. Conclusion: Learning Bhinneka Tunggal Ika material has a positive impact on the formation of a globally diverse character in students. Students show increased attitudes of tolerance, empathy and a sense of belonging to Indonesia's diversity. This learning helps students understand that diversity is a national asset that must be protected and appreciated. Collaboration between schools, families and communities is the key to success in achieving this educational goal.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of playing the online game Free Fire on the social behavior of grade 4 students at SDN 1 Cipanas, West Bandung. By using descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach, this research revealed that several students experienced an addiction to playing online games which had an impact on various aspects of their behavior. Some of the changes observed include increased emotionality, inability to obey rules, and lack of manners due to the habit of speaking harshly while playing games. This research also found that students more often play games outside the school environment, with the main motivation coming from the excitement and feeling of wanting to win that they get from the game. Although there are several positive impacts such as increasing focus, foreign language skills, and expanding friendship networks, the more dominant negative impacts are seen on students' social behavior, such as irritability, lack of healthy social interactions, and difficulty in managing study time. This research suggests several efforts to overcome this addiction, including limiting playing time, finding new hobbies, and placing gaming devices outside the bedroom.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of online games on fifth-grade students' learning motivation in Pancasila Education subjects at SD AL-Madani Prima, Ciparay District, Bandung Regency. The background of this study is based on the phenomenon of increasing intensity of playing online games among elementary school students which is suspected of having an impact on decreasing learning motivation. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving 30 students, 2 Pancasila Education teachers, and 6 parents of students as participants. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using NVivo 14 software. The results showed that most students had the habit of playing online games every day for a fairly long duration, especially on weekends. The negative impacts found included decreased learning concentration, reduced time to do assignments, and decreased participation in learning. However, there were also positive impacts, such as increased cooperation and problem-solving skills in some students. The role of teachers and parents is very important in managing this habit through limiting playing time, an interesting pedagogical approach, and intensive communication. It is recommended that schools implement gamification-based learning strategies to increase students' learning motivation. This study provides important insights for schools, teachers, and parents in managing the influence of online games on learning and designing educational interventions that are more adaptive to technological developments.
