Abstract

Public sector human resource management is a way to manage human in a hierarchical activity which acts as the main rotor of efficiency and effectiveness of public-scale growth and development. As our environment changed in 2020 caused by covid-19 pandemic, so does the human resource management. Substantial changes in society impacted the way we shape management activity. This study aims to map the research trend changes of public sector human resource management in pre and post covid-19 period. We conduct bibliometric study to explore the factors and criteria of a toxic leader from open access scopus indexed journals using biblioshiny application limited to pre (2016 to 2019) and post (2020 to 2023) covid-19 periods. The criteria for filtering journal articles are based on PRISMA and JBI standards. Data suggested that covid-19 event ignite the research production. The research domains for pre covid-19 were focused on human resource growth and development, while post covid-19 domains were focused on survival and resilient. Country rank of most published paper related to the locus field also related to worldwide survey of economic growth in pre to post covid-19 pandemic. However, rapid increase of publication in post covid-19 period did not followed by study continuity and relatedness.

Abstract

In Indonesia, research show inadequacy in creative thinking skills among students with only about 2% being proficient in tackling problems of moderate to high difficulty according to TIMSS research. At SMA Negeri 1 Papar, the challenge of low creative thinking skills of students is evident in test results. with an average daily test score of 70 reflecting this concern. Nonetheless, the latent potential to develop creative thinking skills exists within Indonesian students, thus the need to encourage teachers to use appropriate educational strategies. To that end, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model emerged as an appropriate solution to address the shortcomings in students' creative thinking skills. However, little knowledge is available in this important area. This research focuses on assessing the impact of the PBL model on students' creative thinking skills by using a quasi-experimental methodology. The experiment involved students in class XI-IIS 1 (36 students) as the experimental class and XI-IIS 3 (34 students) as the control class in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year at SMA Negeri 1 Papar. Using essay questions as an assessment tool, the data were analyzed using SPSS 23 for Windows through a t-test, with a significance level of 0.05. In particular, a considerable difference was observed between the experimental group using the PBL model and the control group using the conventional approach. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance level of 0.000, underscoring the potential of the PBL model in fostering higher creative thinking ability among students, as evidenced by its striking difference with a significancethresholdof 0.05. The findings are useful to Educators, teachers, parents and students. The study recommended that PBL can be adopted and used to teach in all subject areas in the currica inorder to help develop the creative thinking skills of students.

Abstract

The United Nations adopted the sustainable development goal of “quality education” as one of its objectives. In emergency teaching and learning amid the outbreak in 2019, the emphasis has been placed on providing a versatile and easily accessible lifelong learning experience to ensure high-quality education. One type of online e-learning course is the massive open online course (MOOC). It provides a free course that may be taken whenever and anywhere. However, difficulties have come up regarding student performance, course completion, and dropping out as a result of quality assurance of e-learning platforms like MOOC. In order to keep students interested in the course until the end, this study will review and recommend MOOC strategies. The strategies in enhancing for MOOC engagement reveals that they include development, collaboration between educators and students, and evaluation. Self-regulation learning is a crucial motivation in retention from dropping out of the MOOC facilitates participation through the utilization of innovative pedagogies, as well as the interaction between students and educators on both the MOOC platforms and social media platforms according to research. Course information and instructional design are also found to attract learners to complete the course. Giving prizes for completing MOOC assignments and tests is an extra choice in retaining from dropping out the course. The contribution of study is MOOC online learning engagement strategies are introduced. By developing a good course design, collaboration between students and educators and evaluation performance based can enhance students’ engagement to completion of the course.
