Abstract

The use of interactive learning media is increasingly demanded in Geography learning. However, the availability of interactive geography learning media that meets eligibility standards is still limited. This research aims to produce interactive Articulate Storyline 3 media that meets feasibility standards and is validated. Media development refers to the Borg and Gall model. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, indirect communication and documentary studies. The data collection tools used were observation guides, interview guides, validation sheets, and documentation. Product trials were carried out in class X of SMA Negeri 2 Simpang Hilir. The data analysis techniques in this research are needs analysis techniques, qualitative and quantitative. The results of the research show that, namely, 1) producing interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3 is suitable for use in the learning process in geography subjects regarding geosphere phenomena; 2) Interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3 is included in the criteria of being very valid and very suitable for use in the learning process which is observed through evaluation by media experts and material experts as well as product trials and usage trials; 3) there are differences in learning outcomes for class XA students at SMA Negeri 2 Simpang Hilir before and after being given interactive learning media based on Articulate Storyline 3, so it is very effective in improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

The issue of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among academics, especially lecturers, plays a vital role in assessing the quality and performance of higher education institutions. This study explores how Islamic work ethics, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment contribute to the development of OCB among lecturers. A total of 365 lecturers from 14 private universities were selected using proportional random sampling. The research applied Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the AMOS software to analyze the data. The results demonstrate that Islamic work ethics have a significant and positive effect on both OCB and organizational commitment. However, the influence of Islamic work ethics on job satisfaction, while positive, is statistically insignificant. Moreover, job satisfaction is found to have a strong and significant impact on OCB, but its relationship with organizational commitment remains insignificant. These findings reveal a nuanced interaction between ethical values, personal satisfaction, and voluntary behavior within the academic work environment. Given these insights, the study highlights the importance of fostering Islamic work ethics and job satisfaction to improve OCB among lecturers. Strengthening these elements may not only elevate individual performance but also enhance organizational commitment over time. As a practical implication, private university management should prioritize ethical development programs and support systems that improve job satisfaction. Such initiatives are expected to contribute to a more engaged, committed, and ethically grounded academic workforce, ultimately advancing institutional quality and effectiveness.

Abstract

The integration of gender perspectives in public policy formulation is crucial for achieving inclusive governance, yet its implementation remains inconsistent across local governments in Indonesia. Despite various regulations supporting gender mainstreaming, disparities in gender-responsive policies persist, particularly between urban and rural areas. This research aims to investigate how gender perspectives are integrated into the policy formulation process at the local government level in Indonesia, identifying the barriers and enablers of this integration. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with local policymakers, gender experts, and civil society representatives, complemented by document analysis of relevant policy documents. The study found that urban local governments, with stronger institutional capacity and greater stakeholder involvement, were more successful in integrating gender considerations. Conversely, rural areas faced significant challenges due to a lack of resources, gender-disaggregated data, and insufficient staff training. The political will of local leaders emerged as a critical factor in driving gender mainstreaming efforts. This research contributes to the understanding of gender mainstreaming by focusing on the policy formulation phase, offering insights into the practical integration of gender perspectives. However, the study’s limitations include its reliance on case study methodology and semi-structured interviews, which may not fully represent the diversity of experiences across Indonesia. Future research should explore comparative studies, evaluate the impacts of gender-sensitive policies, and investigate the role of capacity-building initiatives in fostering sustainable gender mainstreaming practices.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of digital archival governance on service efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in Makassar City. The data were gathered through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis involving government officials, policymakers, and IT personnel. The findings indicated that the effectiveness of digital archival governance was shaped by institutional preparedness, supportive legal frameworks, community engagement, and technological infrastructure. Capacity-building programs and professional training were essential to enhance the digital competencies of public servants, while participatory governance mechanisms contributed to greater public trust and access. Additionally, emerging technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence presented significant opportunities for optimizing archival systems, though they also introduce challenges related to cybersecurity and ethical management. This study contributes to the discourse on smart governance by highlighting both best practices and obstacles encountered in implementing digital transformation within public administration. It concludes by emphasizing the importance of collaborative governance models, adaptive institutional strategies, and ongoing technological innovation to ensure inclusive and sustainable urban development. Makassar’s experience offers valuable insights for other cities aiming to strengthen digital archival governance as a foundation for improved public service delivery.

Abstract

Sharia-compliant hotels in Indonesia are increasingly challenged to maintain religious integrity while embracing digital transformation. This study investigates how transformational leadership supports the integration of digital technologies in accordance with Islamic principles, recognising that although leadership is not explicitly regulated, the operational guidelines provide a normative framework that leaders are expected to interpret and implement in practice. A qualitative observational approach was employed. Data were collected from nine Sharia hotels in Makassar and Malang. The data were analysed using a six-phase thematic analysis framework, which enabled the systematic identification, coding, and interpretation of patterns across the entire dataset. The findings reveal that transformational leadership, which is characterised by visionary direction, motivational influence, and supportive engagement, is crucial in aligning technological adaptation with Sharia values. Hotels with stronger leadership adherence to Islamic ethics were more adherent in implementing digital tools that uphold modesty, halal standards, and moral conduct. Conversely, hotels lacking in consistent leadership practices showed weaker integration of both digital systems and Sharia compliance. Transformational leadership is essential in harmonising innovation and Islamic values. The findings of this study provide practical implications for Sharia hotel managers and policymakers to integrate transformational leadership with digital strategies so that technological innovation can enhance competitiveness without compromising adherence to Sharia principles.

This research uses quantitative research, which is based on data that can be calculated to produce a strong quantitative interpretation. The data analysis technique used is PLS version 3.0 (Partial Least Square) software which is a variant-based structural equation analysis (Structural Equation Model) and can perform measurement model testing as well as structural model testing. The population and sample in this study were cooperatives in the South Tangerang area. The technique used in this study was the Simple Random Sampling Technique. And the sample used in this study were 191 employees in the South Tangerang Cooperative. With the results of the study that total quality management has a significant effect on employee job satisfaction because the t-statistic value is 19,056 > 1,652 while the latent variable on organizational culture has an effect on the contribution to the latent variable on employee job satisfaction with a statistical value of 14,351 > 1,652. While the latent variable total quality management has no significant effect on employee performance because the value is 1.281 < 1.652. And the organizational culture variable has an effect on employee performance with a t-statistic value of 4.214 > 1.652.
