Abstract

Oyster mushroom production in Mindahan Kidul Village has the potential to be developed and has high economic value. The prospect of developing the oyster mushroom business is quite large which can be seen from the environmental conditions located on the slopes of Mount Muria and the availability of raw materials for planting media that are easily obtained from abundant sawdust. Partners in the service activity program are MSME AJJ Oyster Mushroom Mindahan Kidul which has problems producing baglog and oyster mushrooms that have not been able to become one of the main sources of income. The products produced are F2 mushroom seeds, baglog, and fresh oyster mushrooms. Beside that, the packaging design is still simple and does not have conventional labels and marketing and inadequate production facilities. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide training and assistance to AJJ Oyster Mushroom partners to develop an oyster mushroom product business as a superior product for the Jepara area. The implementation method uses Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). The results of community service activities in the form of PPPUD have carried out various forms of training and assistance to partners. The development of the oyster mushroom product business that has been carried out is the processed crispy oyster mushroom "ROOMPY" and has a PIRT permit. The establishment of a website with the url address: ajjjamurjepara.com, Instagram account “AJJ Mushroom Jepara”, Facebook account “ajj_jamur_tiram_jepara” and shopee account “AJJ Mushroom Oyster” has increased revenue by around 50%.

Abstract

PT ABC is a fuel distribution company operating 24 hours a day, including product receiving and storage activities in tanks across three shifts. A past fire incident at the company highlighted the importance of reliable firefighting equipment. As a solution, a holder nozzle was developed, designed to maintain the nozzle's balance within the firefighting system. This research aims to reduce the ergonomic risks for firefighters and evaluate the effectiveness of the holder nozzle design. The method used involves ergonomic analysis of the nozzle's use during firefighting operations with the cooling technique. The holder nozzle is made of mild steel (Mild Steel/MS), consisting of three main components: a stand hydrant, a pipe stand, and a shaft. Additionally, a flexible joint was added to the discharge pipe to reduce vibration transmission. The results show that the holder nozzle successfully improved firefighting performance by reducing response time, expanding coverage area, and decreasing firefighters' physical fatigue. The implementation of the flexible joint also proved effective in reducing equipment damage risks caused by vibration.

Abstract

Continuous production causes machines to work without stopping which results in the risk of decreasingmachine productivity at PT. TJB Power Services. The company is an Operation and Maintenance companyfor PLTU Tanjung Jati B Units 1 and 2. In 2018, the level of Equivalent Availability Factor (EAF) Unit 1was 89.45% and Unit 2 was 93.76%, which was originally targeted at 100%. Meanwhile, in 2019 Unit 1increased to 95.60% and Unit 2 decreased to 88.12%. In general, the production process starts fromgrinding coal, which is used for fuel heating water into dry steam, which is flowing into a turbine to drive agenerator that produces electricity. Therefore, research was carried out in the pulverizer unit 2 because ithas decreased its availability and is a critical machine in the production process that will affect overallproductivity. Based on the RCM II analysis at the FMEA stage, the highest RPN value was obtained forcoal pipe and pyrite equipment. After analyzing with the Fishbone diagram, it is found that the root causesof failure include primary air and outside air containing seawater content and not coated with anti-rustresulting in corrosion, accumulating foreign objects that are not filtered in the silo and lack of maintenance.From the results of the analysis of these problems, it was found that the proposed improvements weremade in the form of the RCM II Decision Worksheet.
