Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pertambangan bauksit yang memulai kegiatan pertambangannya sejak tahun 2009. Kegiatan pengangkutan bauksit dari area penambangan ke washing plant maupun ke stockpile menggunakan rangkaian kerja alat muat dan alat angkut. Alat yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengangkutan bauksit khususnya di Pit A menggunakan 2 unit Excavator Kobelco SK330 dan 37 unit alat angkut Dump Truck Marcedez Benz Axor 2528 C dimana pengadaan alat muat dan angkut tersebut dengan skema sewa alat. Salah satu konsep dalam pengelolaan industri pertambangan adalah memperoleh keuntungan sebesar-besarnya, mengingat pentingnya hal tersebut maka perlu untuk mengetahui biaya kepemilikan dan operasional agar dapat mengendalikan biaya yang dikeluarkan perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi biaya kepemilikan (owning cost) dan biaya operasional alat (operation cost) untuk skema beli dan sewa alat menggunakan analisa Net Present Value (NPV). Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan asumsi umur pakai alat lima tahun, diperoleh bahwa Nilai NPV untuk beli alat muat yaitu Rp. 16.945.147.370 dan biaya sewa sebesar Rp 30.041.150.318. Sedangkan NPV untuk skema beli alat angkut yaitu Rp 215.892.393.567 dan biaya sewa sebesar Rp 303.142.516.855. Sehingga pemilihan skema beli alat lebih menguntungkan karena biaya pengadaan alat muat dan alat angkut yang lebih rendah.

Abstract

Kondisi jalan angkut memiliki peranan penting untuk mempermudah operasi alat angkut serta dapat mengefisienkan waktu pengangkutan dalam produksi tambang bauksit di PT XXX Kabupaten Ketapang. Tanah sebagai material di jalan tambang memiliki potensi kekuatan sebagai daya pendukung untuk menahan beban kendaraan yang berada di atasnya. Pada jalan tambang, apabila kekuatan material tanah tidak lebih besar dari beban alat angkut maka dapat mengakibatkan alat angkut tidak beroperasi maksimal dan dapat menurunkan produksi penambangan bahkan dapat mengakibatkan kecelakaan kerja. Tujuan penelitan ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui karakteristik tanah di jalan angkut tambang bauksit, (2) mengetahui persentase potensi kekuatan tanah berdasarkan uji California Bearing Ratio (CBR), serta (3) memberikan tahapan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan kekuatan tanah di jalan angkut tambang bauksit PT XXX Kabupaten Ketapang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Data penelitian terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil uji sifat fisik tanah dan uji CBR di laboratorium. Sedangkan data sekunder terdiri dari gambaran lokasi penelitian serta dari referensi penelitian terdahulu sebagai data pendukung untuk memperkuat analisis dan pembahasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanah di jalan angkut tambang bauksit PT XXX memiliki karakteristik yang baik secara umum sebagai tanah dasar (subgrade). Nilai persentase CBR desain paling rendah adalah sampel pertama (SA-T1) dengan nilai CBR desain sebesar 2,50% dan termasuk dalam tingkatan kelompok tanah sangat buruk (very poor). Sedangkan sampel SA-T2 dan SA-T3 yang memiliki nilai CBR desain masing-masing sebesar 14,00% dan 10,00% termasuk dalam tingkatan kelompok tanah buruk sampai cukup baik (poor to fair). Menurut kegunaannya, tiga sampel tanah tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai lapisan tanah dasar (subgrade) di jalan angkut. Untuk meningkatkan kekuatan material tanah di jalan angkut tambang dapat dilakukan beberapa upaya perbaikan, diantaranya dengan melakukan pemadatan (compacting) dan stabilisasi tanah.

Abstract

Bauxite tailing is a by product of bauxite washing. The amount of waste from the bauxite tailings can reach about 50% of the dry weight of the bauxite before washed. The increasing demand for bauxite causes the amount of exhaust produced to be even greater. This risks causing environmental pollution problems requiring an alternative treatment and one of the solutions is utilize the bauxite tailings as a mixture of sand substitutes in the manufacture of paving blocks. The role of sand is replaced by a 50% increase in market price so that in this study a compressive strength test will be conducted on the strength of paving blocks with sand mixture (as sold in the market) with paving blocks with bauxite tailings mixed then comparison. This utilization is to minimize the environmental impacts, to reduce the accumulation of materials at the washing site, and in the future can be increasing value products that become business opportunities for affected communities due to bauxite mining. Based on the research, there is a found the average value of uniaxial compressive strength of sampel 50% : 50% is 17.19 Mpa. That is smaller than the value of uniaxial compressive strength of sampel 60% : 40%, 17.62 MPa. The meaning of compressive strength value of the sample is 60%: 40% more optimal than the sample with the ratio 50%: 50% because the value of compressive strength is included in SNI-03-0691-1996 ie on the quality of B.

Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan tambang bauksit yang terletak di Kecamatan Tayan Hilir Kabupaten Sanggau Kalimantan Barat. Penambangan bauksit sangat erat kaitannya dengan kegiatan pengangkutan. Dump truck memiliki dimensi yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kendaraan angkut di jalan raya. Alat angkut memiliki kontribusi besar terhadap total produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan produktivitas alat angkut berdasarkan grade jalan angkut tambang secara aktual, serta memberikan rekomendasi kemiringan jalan (grade) dalam upaya peningkatan produksi bauksit di perusahaan. Hasil penelitian ini nantinya akan dijadikan sebagai salah satu parameter yang dapat digunakan untuk analisis geometri jalan. Berdasarkan hasil data aktual, diketahui bahwa dari 16 segmen jalan, terdapat 3 segmen jalan yang memiliki grade belum sesuai dengan standar jalan tambang yang baik. Grade jalan masing-masing segmen adalah 10,51%; 14,05%; dan 21,26%. Produktivitas alat angkut berdasarkan data aktual dengan waktu edar 12,86 menit adalah 75.669,20 ton/bulan. Perbaikan grade jalan mengurangi waktu edar (cycle time) sebesar 0,55 menit sehingga meningkatkan produktivitas alat angkut sebesar 3.324,84 ton/bulan.Target produksi perusahaan saat ini adalah 100.000 ton/bulan, artinya target produksi perusahaan masih belum tercapai walaupun kemiringan jalan (grade) sudah sesuai standar yang telah ditetapkan. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya analisis lebih lanjut tidak hanya pada grade jalan akan tetapi juga dilakukan analisis pada keserasian alat muat-angkut serta parameter geometri jalan angkut lainnya.

Abstract

SMAN 1 Ketapang often win in regional to provincial level olympiads including physics, earth, astronomy, and geography. In supporting the achievements that have been achieved, Polytechnic State of Ketapang can contribute in terms of sharing knowledge about geography such as geological mapping using compass traverse. Compass traverse are generally used in regional geological mapping to measure, and describe rock units which are converted into mapping space. This mapping activity requires equipment such as a geological compass, which has not accommodated at school. Based on the analysis of the situation, the problems need to be solved by training in geological mapping using the compass traverse method as the implementation of geography lessons. The implementation of training activities is carried out by theory and field practice. The achievement of training objectives can be measured based on several achievement indicators such as the introduction of geological and topographic maps, training in the use of geological compasses and GPS, the practice of mapping compass traverse and processing compass traverse data. The results of the evaluation of the overall activity measurement of all indicators can be assessed as good with an average value of 76.75%.

Abstract

Mining Engineering as one of the D3 Study Programs at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang seeks to assist the government in preventing the spread of Covid-19 in Ketapang Regency. Through PKM activities in 2020, Mining Engineering provides an alternative to preventing the Covid-19 virus by making a natural disinfectant made from betel leaf and applied in sterilization booths. The sterilization booth with natural disinfectant liquid of betel leaf was given to one of the mosques in Ketapang Regency, Al-Muhdi Mosque, Pelang District, Ketapang Regency on Friday, July 10, 2020. It is hoped that this sterilization booth will make the surrounding community, especially the Al-Muhdi mosque congregation feel calm and comfortable during worship

Abstract

The Paving block is a building material product made from cement which is used as an alternative cover or hardening of the ground surface. The use of paving blocks is currently continuing to increase for application on footpaths, sidewalks, yards or parking lots, and residential complex roads. This is because paving blocks have the advantage that they are easy to install and do not require heavy equipment in the installation process. The Ketapang State Polytechnic Service Team will carry out community service by providing training and direct demonstrations on making paving blocks according to SNI standards to the community of RT 05 RW 01 Sukaharja Village, Ketapang Regency. The training activities began with remarks from the Coordinator of the D-III Mining Technology Study Program, a brief presentation of material by the PKM team, and practice of making paving blocks using a press tool. This activity was carried out in Gang Lobak RT 05 RW 01, Sukaharja sub-district, Ketapang Regency. The achievement of the training objectives can be seen during the delivery of material and practice of making paving blocks where participants were very enthusiastic in asking questions and discussing how to make and the correct composition to obtain SNI standard paving block.

Abstract

Coal is a heterogeneous, combustible material composed of various components with differing properties. The combustion process of coal in coal-fired power plants (CFPPs) generates waste in the form of bottom ash residue. If not properly utilized, bottom ash has The ability to trigger adverse environmental impacts. One alternative for its utilization is as a mixture component in the production of paving blocks. This study aims to evaluate the water absorption, compressive strength, and quality classification of paving blocks with the addition of bottom ash, where the test results will be compared with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) to determine conformity to quality standards. According to the study, it can be seen that increasing the percentage of bottom ash leads to a higher water absorption rate and a decrease in compressive strength. This trend is attributed to the reduction in bulk density of the paving blocks as the proportion of bottom ash increases. Based on the test results, paving blocks without bottom ash (Sample A) fall into Class C; mixtures with 10% and 20% bottom ash (Samples B and C) fall into Class B; the 30% mixture (Sample D) belongs to Class C; and the 40% mixture (Sample E) is categorized as Class D. All composition variations meet the quality classification criteria stipulated in the applicable Indonesian National Standard (SNI). Based on compressive strength and water absorption parameters, the optimal bottom ash composition ranges between 10% and 20%.

Abstract

Tanjung Baik Budi Village has great potential in rice production, yet faces challenges with unmanaged rice husk waste, which is often burned openly, causing pollution and resource inefficiency. This community service program aims to train and assist local residents in transforming rice husk into eco-friendly briquettes as an alternative, sustainable energy source. The method includes socialization, technical training, production assistance, and evaluation. The briquette-making process involves carbonization, charcoal grinding, mixing with natural adhesives, molding, drying, and packaging. The results show increased community skills in producing briquettes and enthusiasm for developing alternative energy-based enterprises. Rice husk briquettes are proven to be environmentally friendly, affordable, easy to make, and economically promising. This activity supports higher education performance indicators and the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. In conclusion, the community is capable of independently managing agricultural waste into valuable products. Continued mentoring and product marketing development are recommended to ensure long-term sustainability.

Abstract

Through training on the use of drones for mining applications, Ketapang State Polytechnic started a community service program in an attempt to encourage the adoption of contemporary technology and the development of human resource capacity in the mining sector. In order to increase productivity, safety, and operational quality in the mining sector, this program seeks to provide local communities and alumni of Mining Engineering with technical skills in drone use. Drone technology, aviation safety and regulations, aviation methods, and real-world applications in mapping, mine inspection, and surveying are all covered in this class. Real-world case studies, field practicums, theoretical seminars, and continuous evaluations and debates are all part of the training technique. With this approach, participants are expected to be able to master drone technology and apply it effectively in various mining activities
