Background: Teenagers are the largest social media users. Social media has allowed internet users to interact about unlimited topics, including health, weight management, food and drink choices, sports activities and more. However, with the continued growth of social media and its growing impact, this research aims to analyze the influence of social media on eating behavior and physical activity in adolescents. Method: Cross-sectional study of 147 students at MAS Darul Ulum YW-UMI. Multivariate logistic regression analysis to calculate the Adjusted Odds Ratio (AOR) or exposure association (risk factors). A P-value <0.05 was used to indicate significant results. The data analysis software used is SPSS 20.0. Results: There is a significant association of the number of social media >1 on not consuming fruit (AOR 0.79 (0.028-0.220)) and inactive behavior (AOR 0.147 (0.034-0.497)). There is a significant association of appreciation in social media on the behavior of not consuming vegetables (AOR 7.260 (3.144-16.765)) and on not doing physical activity (AOR 0.185 (0.079-0.432)). Conclusion: There is an influence of the number of social media > 1 and appreciation of social media with eating behavior (not consuming vegetables and fruit) and inactive behavior.
