Abstract

This research discusses the rejection of Anak Dalam Ethnic transmigrants in Padang Tarok Village, Kamang Baru District, Sijunjung Regency. The purpose of this study is to explain and describe the reasons for the local community of Padang Tarok Village to reject the Anak Dalam Ethnic Transmigrant and to analyze it using the Social Exclusion by Rene Lenoir. This research uses a qualitative approach. The selection of informants was carried out by purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using involved observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result of the study shows that the rejection of Anak Dalam Ethnic transmigrants occurs because of differences in religious and cultural values between the Anak Dalam Ethnic and the local community of Padang Tarok Village. Due to differences in religious and cultural values between the Anak Dalam Ethnic and the local community, the transmigration program for the Anak Dalam Ethnic was not implemented according to the plan

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat berbasis riset yang berjudul Pendampingan Petani Bawang Merah Melalui Lelong Sebagai Upaya Untuk Mengatasi Pengelolaan Lahan Secara Individualis di nagari Lolo kecamatan Pantai Cermin Kabupaten Solok di dasari adanya permasalahan dalam pengelolaan lahan secara individual oleh petani bawang. Permasalahan ini berdampak kurang baik bagi kehidupan sosial masyarakat. Permasalahan ini diatasi dengan pengabdian masyarakat. Pengabdian masyarakat berbasis riset ini menggunakan metode Partisipasi Action Research (PAR) dengan langkah-langkah dalam pengabdian yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini telah memberikan dampak positif bagi kehidupan sosial masyarakat berupa partisipasi dalam kegiatan sosial meningkat, meningkatnya interaksi sosial antar sesama anggota kelompok lelong dan masyarakat, perubahan gaya hidup yang lebih sejahtera, tingginya kebersamaan antar anggota kelompok lelong, semakin memudarnya kecemburuan sosial dalam kehidupan petani, mencegah terciptanya stratifikasi sosial dalam kehidupan petani, meningkatnya kinerja petani, tidak berlakunya sistem upah dan modal yang dibutuhkan lebih kecil. Dapat disimpulkan pengabdian masyarakat berbasis riset yang dilakukan telah dapat membawa perubahan masyarakat ke arah yang lebih baik dan sejahtera.

Abstract

This research aims to compare the socio-economic life of fishing communities with shallot farming communities. Research on fishing communities was carried out in 2023 in Nagari Sasak, West Pasaman Regency, and research on the lives of shallot farmers was carried out in Nagari Lolo, Solok Regency. This research was analyzed using socio-economic theory. The main components of socio-economic position include measures of wealth, measures of power, measures of honor, and measures of knowledge. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The informants were selected using purposive sampling with a total of 30 informants (15 informants from the fishing community and 15 from the shallot farming community). Data collection was carried out using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this research can be concluded that: (1) Fishermen's income is uncertain and the sea is the only source of income, while shallot farmers have other sources of income, such as rice fields, bananas, and others (2) The living conditions of fishing communities are more in tiny wooden houses with cement floors, while many shallot farmers already have permanent houses with ceramic floors (3) The education level of fishing communities is generally middle school and high school, while many shallot farmers already have children with graduate degrees.
