Abstract

Pneumonia merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kematian anaki dibawah umur lima tahun di dunia. Terapi antibiotik secara empiris menjadi pilihan dalam pemilihan antibiotik di rumah sakit karena mikroorganisme penyebab pneumonia belum diketahui saat masuk rumah sakit. Tujuan: Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektivitas antibiotik terhadap perbaikan outcome pasien dan terhadap rata-rata lamanya pasien dirawat inap di rumah sakit (LOS). Metode Penelitian: Metode penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian observasional prospektif dan dilakukan di salah satu rumah sakit di daerah Sumatera Utara pada bulan Maret 2019 hingga Desember 2019. Tujuh puluh pasien digunakan sebagai subjek penelitian. Data yang telah diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan beberapa yaitu uji chi square, uji fisher dan uji mann whitney. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara efektivitas antibiotik tepat dan tidak tepat terhadap perbaikan klinis demam (p=0,841), sesak (p=0,639), batuk (p=0,186), retraksi (p=0,442). Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara efektivitas antibiotik tepat dan tidak tepat terhadap rata-rata lamanya pasien dirawat inap di rumah sakit (p=0,036)

Abstract

Lip balm is a cosmetic preparation that is useful for moisturizing and shiny lips. The purpose of this study was to formulate lip balm preparations using Bit Fruit Extract (Beta Vulgaris) and to evaluate its effectiveness as a lip moisturizer. Beetroot extract (Beta Vulgaris) was formulated with concentrations of 0%, 6%, 8%, and 10%, as a blank used lip balm base. Tests on lip balm preparations include homogeneity test, pH measurement, irritation test and stability test of the preparation with parameters such as odor, color and pH during 12 weeks of storage. Bit (Beta Vulgaris) extract lip balm with a concentration of 10% can provide a moisturizing effect Lips are best at restoring lip skin after 4 weeks.

Abstract

Background: The use of hand antiseptics in the form of gel preparations among the upper middle class has become a lifestyle. Several hand sanitizer preparations can be found in the market and usually contain a lot of alcohol. The purpose of this study was to formulate a hand sanitizer as an antiseptic. Methods: Handsanitizer formulations were carried out in the pharmacy laboratory of the Aufa Royhan University health faculty in Padangsidimpuan City and then the preparations were tested with preference and allergy tests. Results: Of the 50 panelists, 46 liked the hand sanitizer preparation 70%, while the allergy test carried out showed that 2 panelists did not dare to try because of a history of allergies and 2 people had moderate allergies. Conclusion: Based on the results of acceptability testing and allergy testing, this product can recommended as an antiseptic with a note still have to pay attention to allergic reactions in the wearer.
