Abstract

The transition of written literary works into cinematic literary works is referred to as ecranization, linguistically the process of transferring from a literary work to film form. The research entitled "Komparasi Penokohan dari Novel ke Film Seperti Dendam Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas" is based on the idea that a work can not only be translated, a work can also be translated into other works. This study uses qualitative descriptive methods with an ecranization approach and compares the results of the analysis obtained from the ecranization process. This study aims to find out what are the comparative forms of characterization in novels and films Seperti Dendam Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas by Eka Kurniawan with an ekranization approach. The purpose of this study is to obtain a comparative description of characterizations in stories in novels and films Seperti Dendam, Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas by Eka Kurniawan based on additions, changes, similarities, and omissions with an approach ekranization. The results of this study obtained 67 data in the form of 7 additions, 10 changes, 13 equations, and 37 omissions from a total of 32 characters contained in the novel.

Abstract

Violence against women in Indonesia remains widespread, with limited awareness. Literature, particularly Andina Dwifatma’s novels Semusim dan Semusim Lagi (SSL) and Lebih Senyap dari Bisikan (LSB), can effectively address this issue. This research aims to identify emerging women's issues in these works, using feminist theory for analysis. The study used note-taking for data collection and content analysis for evaluation. Findings reveal themes of power dynamics, subordination, stereotyping, and various forms of violence, including verbal abuse, physical aggression, psychological neglect, and sexual grooming, often perpetuated by those who uphold patriarchal values. Women lacking agency struggle to resist this violence. SSL primarily examines violence through themes of fatherlessness and grooming, with characters who typically lack the ability to resist. In contrast, LSB explores the complexities of domestic life and women's burdens, featuring characters with greater agency to confront their challenges

Abstract

General Social Construction in Illustration of Perjamuan Khong Guan ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah membahas topik pembicaraan dan permainan bahasa yang ada di dalam kumpulan sajak Perjamuan Khong Guan karya Joko Pinurbo. Konsep dan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah hermeneutika. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pengarang memilih topik-topik yang relatable dengan masyarakat, misalnya, religiusitas, keterasingan sosial, dan cinta dan kerinduan.  Terkait bahasa, pemilihan bahasa-bahasa yang sederhana dan kontekstual oleh pengarang justru untuk membuat maknanya mudah dipahami dan bisa dengan mudah direfleksikan kembali oleh masyarakat pembacanya.Kata kunci: Joko Pinurbo, Khong Guan, Hermeneutika, Cinta, ReligiusitasABSTRACTThe aims of this study are discussing the topic converstion and how the language play in the book of poem collection, Perjamuan Khong Guan written by Joko Pinurbo. Concept and method used in this study is hermeneutics.The study shows that the author chose topics that are relatable to society i.e., religiosity, social alienation, and love and longing. From the language perspective, the author chose simple and contextual languages precisely to make the meaning easily to be understood and be reflected by the reader.Keyword: Joko Pinurbo, Khong Guan, Hermeneutics, Love, Religiosity
