Abstract

The mathematical representation ability in Junior High School 1 Bojong is still not optimal. For this reason, one of the methods that can be used to increase the ability of mathematical representation is cooperative learning type Two Stay Two Stray with product assessment. This research aims to obtain the effectiveness of learning and analyze students' mathematical representation abilities in terms of the reflective-impulsive cognitive style. This research used Mixed Methods with Explanatory Sequential Design. The population in this study was all 8th graders of Junior High School 1 Bojong, while two classes were obtained as samples using cluster sampling techniques. For the qualitative analysis, four students were selected purposively. Data collection techniques used observation, documentation, tests, and interviews. The results showed that: (1) Two Stay Two Stray learning with product assessment is effective on the achievement of students' mathematical representation abilities, (2) subjects showed various mathematical representation ability.

Abstract

The implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in public health centers by December 31, 2023, as mandated by the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022, faces challenges in human, organizational, and technological aspects. This study evaluates the EMR system in public health centers in Padang using the HOT-FIT method through a mixed-method approach conducted from April to June 2024. Quantitative data were collected through a cross-sectional survey of 72 respondents (doctors, medical record staff, nurses) and qualitative data from 48 informants (heads of health centers, medical record staff). The findings indicate that in the human aspect, system usage was rated good (54.2%), but user satisfaction was low (58.3%). Organizational aspects, including structure (52.8%) and environment (54.2%), were rated good. In the technology aspect, system quality (51.4%) and information quality (56.9%) were rated poor, while service quality was rated good (62.5%). The net benefit aspect (55.6%) highlighted EMR's contribution to improving work efficiency and effectiveness. Challenges include insufficient training, low technological literacy, network disruptions, inadequate infrastructure, weak patient data security, and incomplete patient records. The study recommends the development of a mayoral regulation to address these challenges and enhance EMR implementation in Padang.

Abstract

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era brings significant changes through technological innovations that transform work patterns and create new challenges in securing employment. Students are required to master both hard and soft skills to remain competitive in the workforce. A tracer study conducted by Andalas University revealed that nearly one-third of the 2023 graduates had not yet secured employment, raising concerns about their readiness to face this era. Therefore, the aim of this initiative was to enhance the preparedness of Andalas University students by increasing their knowledge of how to address challenges and career opportunities in the Society 5.0 era. The method used in this activity involved educational lectures and discussions conducted online via Zoom on May 31, 2024, attended by 103 students from Andalas University. The results showed an increase in students' knowledge of how to navigate the challenges and strategies for career opportunities in the Society 5.0 era, as measured by pre-test and post- test scores. Paired sample t-test analysis indicated a significant increase in the students' average knowledge, from 7.47 (pre-test) to 8.50 (post-test), with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. The conclusion of this activity is that the educational intervention effectively increased students' knowledge in facing challenges and career opportunities in the Society 5.0 era. It is hoped that Andalas University will continue to implement such programs, especially for final-year students, to better prepare them for the workforce and help reduce unemployment rates.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the health sector has accelerated the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academic and professional environments. However, concerns regarding ethical implications, academic integrity, and digital health literacy persist among health sciences students. This study aimed to assess the baseline levels of AI utilization, perceived usefulness, and ethical awareness among students in a public health faculty, as the foundation for implementing a capacity-building workshop on responsible AI use. A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted involving 181 undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Andalas, who completed a structured online questionnaire prior to the workshop. Data were analyzed descriptively using frequency distributions and percentages to identify patterns of AI usage and ethical concerns. Results showed that 94.5% of respondents actively used generative AI tools, primarily for academic tasks such as searching for scientific references and completing assignments. Despite high adoption, 44.2% reported moderate concerns related to plagiarism, algorithmic bias, and data privacy. Students predominantly obtained AI-related knowledge from social media platforms rather than formal learning sources. These findings indicate a substantial digital utilization gap, particularly in ethical and critical literacy dimensions, highlighting the need for structured educational interventions. Integrating AI literacy, emphasizing ethical responsibility and critical evaluation into the curriculum of health sciences education is recommended to prepare future health professionals for equitable and trustworthy digital health transformation.
