Abstract

Pocket money is an essential thing in the lives of Islamic boarding school students. The students use pocket money not only for basic needs but also for other things. However, in its use, it often needs to catch up to the target. This causes Islamic boarding school students to frequently need more pocket money before their parents send more money. With these problems, this community service activity focuses on being more effective and efficient in using pocket money. Using a control card system that makes it easier for students to know how to use their pocket money will also make it easier to plan their finances in the future. This control card can be adapted to the needs of each Islamic boarding school and can be accessed by both parties, students and parents. By implementing these steps, Islamic boarding school students' use of pocket money can be more effective and efficient.

Abstract

This study investigates the significant differences between Generation Y and Generation Z in evaluating the perceived humanness or anthropomorphism of a designed chatbot and the effect of that evaluation on their intention to reuse it. Utilizing a scenario-based experiment and a survey, we examined the responses of 328 participants aged 17-39 years. Our analysis, employing independent sample t-tests and regression, revealed that Generation Y consistently rates the chatbot higher in virtual appearance, cognitive empathy, emotional empathy, moral virtue, and sociality compared to Generation Z. Additionally, cognitive empathy appears less influential in shaping reuse intentions as our designed bot failed to understand users' complex queries regarding promotional information and credit availability and calculations. The study also highlights the limitations of relying solely on static PDF-based knowledge, which restricts the chatbot's flexibility and depth in handling diverse queries.

Abstract

The snack food industry, which is included in the SMEs category, is currently a commodity that is in great demand by the market. UD Sumber Dwi Jaya is one of the SMEs operating in the snack food industry. With various efforts, we are starting to show good organizational performance after being impacted by Covid-19. This research aims to analyze the influence of organizational learning towards organizational performance which is mediated by job satisfaction. The number of respondents used was 38, which is a census method. The method used is SEM-PLS analysis. The role of job satisfaction is able to encourage the relationship between organizational learning and organizational performance. Although partial organizational learning is not able to improve organizational performance directly. The organization does not facilitate employees in learning, this is natural because UD Sumber Dwi Jaya is included in the MSME category. The results show that high job satisfaction can increase organizational performance.

Abstract

With growing concern about environmental issues, purchasing behavior has significantly changed, especially among women. They now seek extensive information about environmentally friendly beauty care brands, often relying on word of mouth to guide their decisions. Existing studies on word of mouth largely focus on the receiver perspective. However, there is a notable gap in studies examining the impact of word of mouth on the senders themselves. Motivated by addressing this significant gap in the literature, we dedicate this exploratory study to investigating sender outcomes, such as purchase decisions. To gather relevant data, we used purposive and snowball sampling methods, specifically targeting Indonesian Gen Z women who are aware of environmental issues and use beauty care products. Results from PROCESS Macro Model 4, based on responses from 253 respondents, show that the high perception of environmentally friendly beauty care product quality significantly affects both word of mouth and repurchase intention, both directly and indirectly. While an environmentally friendly brand image directly impacts repurchase intention, it does not influence WOM. This suggests that Gen Z is more likely to tell and share their experiences about the benefits and effectiveness of high-quality, natural ingredient beauty care products rather than the brand’s environmental commitments and activities.

Abstract

Financial literacy remains a major challenge in Banjarejo Village, significantly impacting the way the community manages their finances. Residents’ understanding of formal financial services remains low. This situation encourages some residents to choose non-formal financial institutions, such as those that are easier to access but carry high interest rates. This community service activity was carried out at the Banjarejo Village Hall, Pakis District, Malang Regency, involving 30 members of the PKK (family welfare movement). The objective of this activity was to increase the community’s understanding of financial literacy and planning. The method used in this activity was direct outreach and counseling for the Banjarejo Village community. The series of community service activities included initial observation, outreach, counseling, and monitoring and evaluation processes. From this activity, the results obtained were that 75% of participants had sufficient understanding and 25% of participants had a high level of understanding of simple financial reporting so that it would affect the financial flow of families and businesses.
