Abstract

Academic dishonesty adalah salah satu masalah dalam perguruan tinggi, yang dapat mempengaruhi integritas akademik individu. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk menentukan peran academic entitlement terhadap academic dishonesty di mahasiswa Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini  terdiri dari 161 mahasiswa aktif di Fakultas Psikologi di Universitas Negari Islam Raden Fatah Palembang. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah skala academic entitlement dan skala academic dishonesty. Untuk mengetahui peran academic entitlement terhadap academic dishonesty dilakukan uji regresi dengan menggunakan software SPSS 22. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa academic entitlement memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan pada ketidakjujuran akademik dengan nilai R2 = 13,2% dan p<0.05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan academic entitlement yang tingi lebih cenderung melakukan perilaku academic dishonesty untuk mendapatkan nilai yang lebih tinggi.

Abstract

Bullying is an act committed to hurt others physically, verbally and psychologically. In this activity, a preliminary survey of bullying behavior was conducted and it is known that the understanding of the impact of bullies is still much unknown to children and parents in Purwosari Village. Community service was carried out after discussions with all the KKN students in the village of Purwosari and the village head. Psychoeducation is conducted in order to raise the awareness of adolescents about bullying behavior. The activity starts with a pre-test questionnaire, followed by psychoeducation, and concludes with a post-test questionnaire to determine changes in understanding of bullying. The psychoeducation take place on Sunday, August 13, 2023, starting at 9 a.m. The activity was attended by 16 adolescents in Purwosari Village and was also participated by the village equipment. The Wilcoxon test revealed significant differences in understanding bullying behaviour between pre-test and post-test with sig<0.05. In this case, psychoeducation can be helpful in enhancing adolescents' awareness and understanding of bullying. As the activity concludes, it is meant to help all parties, particularly adolescents, as well as raise awareness and comprehension of bullying behavior

Abstract

Human Resources (HR) management in a company is inseparable from the importance of managing the recruitment process in accepting new prospective employees. One of the methods used in selecting employee candidates is through a cyber-vetting process on social media. Cybervetting is checking information and data of prospective candidates as well as individual internet reputation through search engines such as Google and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin). Based on this background, this study aims to determine cyber-vetting on employee recruitment decision-making. This research uses the descriptive research method. Respondents in this study are people who work in the field of recruitment both as internal company recruiters and third-party recruiters in companies domiciled in South Sumatra. The instrument in this study was an online questionnaire. A total of 12 respondents from 12 companies in South Sumatra filled out the online questionnaire. The study results show that most recruiters conduct a personal assessment of their prospective employees through social media or cyber-vetting. Therefore, social media should be used as a medium that positively impacts its users and knows the importance of paying attention to digital footprints by reflecting professionalism and good social media behavior to create trust for recruiters.

Abstract

Salah satu kunci untuk mencapai kesuksesan akademik adalah membaca, namun minat membaca masyarakat di Indonesia masih rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi keterlibatan orang tua yang terdiri dari ayah dan ibu, dan konsep diri membaca terhadap minat baca siswa sekolah dasar. Selain itu ada perbedaan dalam persepsi siswa tentang keterlibatan ayah dan keterlibatan ibu. Partisipan penelitian melibatkan 169 siswa kelas tiga dan empat sSekolah Dasar dengan usia 8-11 tahun dan tinggal bersama orang tua. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga alat ukur yaitu yang skala persepsi keterlibatan ayah dan ibu berdasarkan teori Hoover-Dempsey (2005), skala konsep diri membaca dari the self-concept as reader scale from Motivation to Read Profile (Malloy, et al., 2013) serta skala minat baca berdasarkan teori Schiefele (2009). Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan IBM SPSS 2.0 software. Menurut analisis regresi ganda, persepsi keterlibatan ayah dan ibu serta konsep diri membaca memiliki pengaruh sebesar 50,1% terhadap minat baca (r = ,501). Selain itu, ada perbedaan dalam persepsi keterlibatan ayah dan ibu serta minat baca antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Implikasi dalam penelitian untuk menumbuhkan minat diperlukan keterlibatan orang tua sejak dini sehingga dapat terbentuk kebiasaan membaca pada anak. Adapun konsep diri membaca akan mendorong siswa untuk membaca sehingga konsep diri membaca yang perlu dibentuk pada siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara persepsi tentang harapan orang tua dengan kematangan karir pada siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 3 Unggulan Kayuagung. Kematangan karir adalah suatu proses individu dalam memilih keputusan karir yang sesuai dengan bakat dan minatnya dengan menyelesaikan tugas-tugas perkembangannya. Harapan orang tua merupakan suatu keinginan yang muncul berdasarkan pandangan-pandangan yang dimiliki orang tua kemudian disampaikan kepada anak-anaknya baik dalam pendidikan dan pekerjaan. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 123 partisipan siswa kelas XII dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan skala Perception of Parental Expectations Inventory (PPE) dan skala Career Development Inventory (CDI). Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat korelasi. Analisis data menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara persepsi tentang harapan orang tua dengan kematangan karir pada siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 3 Unggulan Kayuagung. Dilihat dari hasil korelasi Pearson Product Moment yang didapat dari nilai r yakni 0,603 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p 0,005). Maka berdasarkan data tersebut hipotesis yang diajukan dinyatakan diterima.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic the learning process shifted from school-based education to home-based education, so parents need to be involved in children's learning in schools especially on home-based learning systems. The transition of this learning process involves parents to add roles and involvement especially parents with children with special needs. This study is a literary study using the scooping review method. Scooping reviews are used in this study to find out the involvement of parents with children with special needs in home-based education. A scoping review is structured based on a framework by Arksey and O'Malley (2005) that consists of five stages namely identifying research questions, identifying relevant studies, selecting data mapping studies, compiling, summarizing, and reporting results. The study search was conducted through several databases such as Science Direct, sage publications, and Proquest and 8 articles met the criteria. Eight studies were used, consisting of six qualitative studies, one quantitative study, and one mixed-method study. The study came from several countries such as Indonesia, Filipina, Mexico, Germany, Israel, Zimbabwe, Spain, Turkey, and the USA. The results of the research show that there are three identified themes: as a teacher, as a therapist, and as a search for information. In this case, parents with children with special needs need to work with professionals to maximize learning at school or home.Selama pandemic covid-19 proses pembelajaran beralih dari school-based education menjadi home based education, sehingga orang tua perlu terlibat dalam pembelajaran anak di sekolah terutama pada sistem pembelajaran berbasis rumah. Peralihan proses pembelajaran ini, menutun orang tua untuk menambah peran dan keterlibatan khususnya orang tua dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur dengan metode scoping review. Scoping review digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana keterlibatan orang tua dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam home based education. Scoping review disusun berdasarkan kerangka oleh Arksey dan O’Malley (2005) yang terdiri atas 5 tahap yaitu identifikasi pertanyaan penelitian, identifkasi studi yang revelan, pemilihan studi pemetaan data, menyusun, meringkas dan melaporkan hasil. Pencarian studi dilakukan melalui beberapa database seperti science direct, sage publication dan proquest dan terdapat 8 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria. Adapun 8 studi digunakan yang terdiri dari 6 studi kualitatif, 1 studi kuantitatif dan 1 studi menggunakan mixed method. Studi tersebut berasal dari beberapa negara seperti, Indonesia, Filpina, Mexico, German, Israel, Zimbabwe, Spanyol, Turki dan USA.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 3 tema yang teridentifikasi yaitu, sebagai pengajar, sebagai therapist dan pencarian informasi. Dalam hal ini orang tua dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus perlu bekerja sama dengan professional untuk dapat memaksimalkan pembelajaran di sekolah atau dirumah.

Abstract

Academic entitlement is a belief that has become one of the issues in higher education. The purpose of this study is to determine the academic entitlement of undergraduate students according to their gender and involvement in organizations. The study involved 159 undergraduate students from the Faculty of Psychology at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, who answered the online survey. The quantitative method will be applied. The instrument used academic entitlement scale by Chowning and Campbell's (2009) consist of 15 items from two factors, 10 items that evaluate externalized responsibilities, and 5 items that evaluate entitled expectations. The difference in academic entitlement by gender and organization participation is examined using a descriptive statistic and t-test. The results reveal that while there is a significant difference in academic entitlement (AE) based on organization participation, there is no significant difference in AE based on gender. Academic entitlement could occur in the university and it could lead to misconduct behavior, therefore future research should explore about the factor and impact from academic entitlement to address the potential development of academic entitlement in undergraduate student
