Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to briefly review the literature on intellectual capital and sustainability growth in manufacturing companies, service companies or other industries and propose research opportunities related to the role of intellectual capital in influencing sustainable growth in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) industry. Two steps are involved in developing a research proposition. First, identify the characteristics of the contingent faced by each type of business. Second, match the characteristics of the contingent for each type of company with the appropriate intellectual capital based on the results of previous research. The contingent characteristics of the type of MSME business can be identified as innovation, management knowledge, competence, competitive advantage, and technological ability to be able to demonstrate sustainable growth of a business. These variables can be used and combined to improve managerial performance as the basis for sustainable growth of a business. From the various problems experienced by MSMEs, it is deemed necessary to raise the issue of the influence of intellectual capital on sustainability growth with a combination of these variables.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how brand trust functions as a mediator between Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) and Erigo fashion product purchases in Denpasar City. The existence of Erigo stores in Bali, which are limited to Denpasar, served as the basis for the choice of location. One hundred Erigo customers participated in the non-probability sampling technique. Questionnaires were used to gather data, and the Sobel test and path analysis were used for analysis. The findings demonstrated that the impact of E-WOM on purchase decisions could be mediated by brand trust. By paying attention to E-WOM and brand trust, these findings should help Erigo make better purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Small and Medium Industries play an important role in relation to economic growth in Asian countries. The empowerment of SMEs is very strategic because of its great potential in driving economic activities, as well as being a source of income in improving community welfare (Sum, et al, 2004). To explore the factors affecting the sustainability of SMEs, the study conducted a systematic literature review of relevant articles published between 2015 and 2023, focusing on entrepreneurial orientation and financial performance. The findings of this study reveal that the ability of a company's entrepreneurial orientation has a significant influence on financial performance. Companies with a high level of entrepreneurial orientation tend to innovate products consistently, dare to consider business risks, and act proactively against possible environmental changes. Companies with a high level of entrepreneurial orientation are always trying to find new opportunities and strengthen their competitive position in carrying out business activities in the market. Moreover, it emphasizes that the development of the concept of entrepreneurial orientation is indispensable in SMEs. This is important because the personal attributes of the owners that make up the entrepreneurial orientation have a strong influence on financial performance. The dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation can be reflected in attitudes and behaviors, such as autonomy, risk, innovation, and aggressive competition by placing personal attributes on business owners. Here, entrepreneurial orientation is directly related and has a strong impact in encouraging companies to perform better.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan kinerja keuangan perusahaan sebelum dan sesudah merger dan akuisisi. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Current Ratio, Return on Asset, Net Profit Margin, Total Asset Turn Over. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan non-keuangan yang melakukan merger dan akuisisi yang terpublikasi di Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU) dan terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2019-2021. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 21 perusahaan dengan metode sampling jenuh. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Paired Sample T-Test, dengan software SPSS versi 26. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini, diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat perbedaan kinerja keuangan yang diukur melalui Current Ratio, Return on Asset, Net Profit Margin sebelum dan sesudah merger dan akuisisi. Sedangkan pada variabel Total Asset Turn Over menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah merger dan akuisisi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis reaksi dari pasar modal Indonesia terhadap pengumuman kenaikan BI 7-Days Reverse Repo Rate (BI7DRR) pada tanggal 19 Oktober 2023 yang dilihat dari perubahan dalam abnormal return dan trading volume activity di sekitar peristiwa. Data yang dipakai adalah data harian harga saham dari 38 perusahaan sektor perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Penelitian ini memakai metode analisis event study dengan melakukan pengamatan selama 11 hari, dengan 5 hari sebelum (pre-event), hari peristiwa (event date), dan 5 hari setelah (post-event) peristiwa. Uji hipotesis yang dipakai adalah Paired Sample T-Test serta menggunakan alat bantu software SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi reaksi pasar positif dilihat dari abnormal return setelah peristiwa kenaikan BI7DRR pada 19 Oktober 2023 atas saham sektor Perbankan di BEI. Hasil trading volume activity di sekitar peristiwa menghasilkan hal sebaliknya, tidak terdapat reaksi pasar modal yang dilihat dari tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dalam trading volume activity sehingga mengindikasikan bahwa informasi tersebut tidak mempengaruhi aktivitas perdagangan. Meskipun terdapat abnormal return yang signifikan, kapitalisasi pasar atau nilai total transaksi tidak menunjukkan perubahan besar. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa pasar modal Indonesia belum sepenuhnya efisien dalam bentuk setengah kuat.
