Abstract

The training activities carried out are expected to improve the quality of library services at partner schools. The goal to be achieved by the author is that each semester can carry out community service to these partners with different training materials. Especially for this semester the author held training on the use of digital library applications. This training is a competency for the academic community in utilizing information and communication technology in increasing reading interest for the academic community. The target of this service activity program is the entire academic community of SMP IT Yaabunayya Fathul Khaer in Makassar City with a total of 50 students, 10 teachers and 1 librarian. The method used is a lecture method, question and answer, and simulation. The results of this activity show: (1) participants (librarian staff) will have knowledge of book data processing, (2) training participants will have knowledge in the borrowing process and (3) training participants will get book information in the library.

Abstract

Saat ini pendapat masyarakat menjadi sumber yang penting dalam pengambilan keputusan akan suatu produk atau jasa. Sentimen analisis berfungsi sebagai informasi hasil dari mengekspresikan secara tekstual terhadap pendapat sebuah masalah atau untuk mengindentifikasi kecenderungan hal yang terjadi di pasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui seberapa besar sentimen analisis yang positif,negatif atau netral yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat yang bertransaksi online pada situs di website JD.id , berdasarkan komentar yang ada di sosialmedia twitter. Alasan utama menggunakan twitter karena komentar hanya dibatasi sebanyak 140 karakter sehingga mudah untuk dikelola. Metode klasifikasi yang digunakan dalam penelitain ini adalah SVM dan logistic regression yang dimana hasil yang didapatkan Support Vector Machine untuk AUC adalah 0.587, sedangkan dengan menggunakan metode neural network hasil yang diperoleh untuk AUC adalah 0.716.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Pendaftaran mahasiswa baru merupakan sebuah aplikasi yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh setiap perguruan tinggi dalam memberikan informasi penerimaan mahasiswa baru. Pada perangkat telepon seluler, notifikasi merupakan penyampaian pesan atau informasi secara singkat, sehingga dengan adanya notifikasi pengguna telepon seluler dapat terbantu dalam hal yang bersifat pemberitahuan atau penyampaian informasi secara singkat. Metodologi dalam pengembangan ini menggunakan metode Mobile-D. Bahasa pemrograman dalam pengembangan ini menggunakan bahasa Java dan bahasa pemrograman website PHP serta pembuatan database menggunakan MySQL. Pengembangan ini juga menggunakan dukungan API (Aplication Programing Interface) Firebase Cloud Messaging dan Android Studio untuk pembuatan perangkat lunak mobile.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide additional knowledge to students which includes: basic knowledge of blog media, how to use free design templates, how to edit and use them as information media. To increase this knowledge, training participants are given basic knowledge and skills about: downloading free templates, editing designs in index files, displaying design results on localhost. The implementation of the service is carried out in several methods, namely: lectures, discussions and practical assistance. The results of the evaluation that we got during the training of community service activities, we can conclude that this community service program has been able to provide enormous and targeted benefits for Vocational High School students who are partners in this activity. This form of training is very effective in providing refresher and insight as well as additional knowledge in the field of web-based computers. So that it can improve the understanding and abilities and skills of students in partners so that they can be added to the partner curriculum. Abstrak Tujuan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan adalah memberikan pengetahuan tambahan kepada para siswa/i yang meliputi: pengetahuan dasar tentang media blog, cara memanfaatkan free design template, cara mengedit dan pemanfaatannya sebagai media informasi. Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tersebut peserta pelatihan diberikan materi pengetahuan dan keterampilan dasar tentang: download free templates, edit design pada file index, menampilkan hasil design dalam localhost. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilaksanakan pada dengan beberapa metode, yaitu: ceramah, diskusi dan pendampingan praktek. Hasil evaluasi yang kami dapatkan selama pelatihan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, dapat kami simpulkan bahwa program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini telah mampu memberikan manfaat yang sangat besar dan tepat sasaran bagi siswa/i Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan yang menjadi mitra dalam kegiatan ini. Bentuk pelatihan ini sangat efektif dalam memberikan penyegaran dan wawasan serta pengetahuan tambahan dalam bidang komputer berbasis web. Sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan serta keterampilan siswa/i pada mitra sehingga bisa menjadi tambahan dalam kurikulum mitra.

Abstract

This research was carried out in the context of implementing the K-NN algorithm so that a source of information can be produced as a basis for supporting decisions on initial credit applications by customers so that they can help cooperative managers more as knowledge of the progress of credit proposals that are carried out at the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Cooperative Service Office ( SMEs) South Sulawesi Province. The K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm is used to classify objects based on attributes and training samples. Among them, from k objects, the k-Nearest Neighbor algorithm uses neighbor classification as the predicted value. The results show that the algorithm produces a classification with a faster calculation time based on the prediction of customer data resulting from the calculation.

Abstract

Based on the Indonesia national police crime database, it is reported that vehicle theft cases have increased during the Covid-19 pandemic. The database reported an increasing trend of vehicle theft, 4,065 cases from January 2019 to January 2020 in the province and regency region. Therefore, to help police officers work and minimize the criminal cases of vehicle theft, an effective strategy is needed to reduce these threats. This study proposes implementing SMS and QRcode technology embedded in the vehicle for validation information. Cloud computing capabilities can offer real-time network access to technology resources that can be physically located anywhere geographically based on business needs. This technology can rapidly search and show detailed information regarding the specific vehicle, including the vehicle owner, the vehicle registration number, and the validation of the driver's license. To implement and examine the effectiveness of the proposed technology, this study was conducted an experimental study in a real-world setting from January 2021 until April 2021 in Makassar city, Indonesia. This study concluded that the proposed technology could successfully be implemented and effectively show detailed information regarding the specific vehicle based on the experimental results. This study concluded the potential use of the proposed technology in the real world as an alternative solution to minimize the criminal cases of vehicle theft. It can be used as an alternative solution to reduce the increase in criminal cases of inter-island private vehicle theft syndicates.

Abstract

Media in the learning process is a tool or intermediary in the delivery of learning material that can provide more knowledge and experience to students. The advantage of App Inventor lies in the ease of programming, where users do not need to have basic programming knowledge, understand code, or have experience in IT, but the most important thing in making applications using App Inventor is how programmers use logic like when someone puts together a puzzle. . In this research, a feasibility study and analysis was carried out using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method so that it could improve the quality of learning and the novelty of teaching materials in the Makassar Professional STMIK environment. The sampling technique used in this research is random sampling or probability sampling. Based on the results of the recapitulation of the respondents' assessment, the average usability of the system was 72.83, then the grade of the assessment was determined. It was concluded that the results of the Recap of Usability Values showed that all attributes had a usability acceptance value by the user, the average value was above 68.00, namely 72.83. For Android users to be able to use APP-Inventor properly so that it is useful to support special learning activities in the Mobile Programming course.

Abstract

In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for high-quality raw materials driven by consumers and the food industry. This study aims to build a model to predict the type of palm sugar using a hybrid method of hue-saturation-lightness (HSL), gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM), and K-nearest neighbor (KNN). The price of palm sugar is determined based on the type and ingredients used. However, due to the lack of public knowledge in distinguishing the types of palm sugar, there is the potential for price manipulation that can harm the community. The accuracy rate of 97.6% of the palm sugar type prediction results shows that the model that was built has worked very well. The results have practical implications, such as developing automated systems to classify palm species in specific industries to benefit economics and operational efficiency. Future research directions may explore the integration of advanced machine-learning techniques and real-time image processing for further improving classification performance and scalability in industrial applications.
