Abstract

This research describes the student metacognition profile Tadris Department of Mathematics State Islamic Institute Tulungagung based differences in mathematical ability that is highly capable student, medium, and low. Collecting data in this exploratory study done by solving mathematical problem solving and in-depth interviews. To get the process used metacognitive interview leads to the question steps to resolve the matter by the steps Polya and De Corte. Results of a study of college students show that students are capable of moderate or low it did not do a good metakognisis process in the last three stages of problem-solving by step Polya and De Corte. Students with moderate and low level of capability are only looking do metakognisis at the stage of understanding the problem, whereas high-ability students perform well metacognitive processes.

Abstract

Cooperative learning and problem submission is one of the learning models that can be developed and implemented to solving the problem of low activity and learning achievement. One method of cooperative learning can be used to enable students to said their problem is snowball throwing method. This study used a qualitative approach in this case is classroom action research, which consists of two cycles. The result showed that the snowball throwing is proven to help improve learning outcomes of students of class VII-E SMP Negeri 1 Singosari in Statistics. This can be shown on the score of the average value obtained from the initial data, the first cycle and the second cycle (71, 75, and 80) and the thoroughness of classical learning was 83.3%. Therefore, it is recommended to teachers of mathematics to use Snowball Throwing.

Abstract

Abstract:Awareness of the importance of English is not fully understood by students. therefore a tool is needed to help them. The tools used are textbooks. This study tries to develop an IT-based mathematics textbook. the existence of the book is expected to improve their English and mathematical skills. Textbooks are developed through 4 stages of development, namely: the definition stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the dissemination phase. After going through four stages are then acquired IT-based mathematics textbooks are valid and effective. Based on the assessment of two validators obtained validity of 3.30. This shows that, the IT-based mathematics textbook has met valid criteria. while students who get more than 80 are 90.06%. Thus the value is included in the completeness criteria.Abstrak:Kesadaran akan pentingnya berbahasa Inggris belum sepenuhnya di pahami oleh mahasiswa. oleh sebab itu diperlukan alat bantu untuk membantu mereka. Alat bantu yang diusahakan berupa buku teks. Penelitian ini mencoba mengembangkan sebuah buku teks matematika berbasis IT. dengan adanya buku tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa inggris dan matematikanya. Buku teks dikembangkan melalui 4 tahap pengembangan yaitu: tahap definisi, tahap desain, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap pendiseminisian. Setelah melalui keempat tahapan tersebut maka diperoleh buku teks matematika berbasis IT yang valid dan efektif. Berdasarkan penilaian dua orang validator diperoleh kevalidan sebesar 3,30. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa, Buku teks matematika berbasis IT tersebut telah memenuhi kriteria valid. sedangakan mahasiswa yang mendapat nilai lebih dari 80 adalah 90.06%. Dengan demikian nilai tersebut masuk dalam kriteria ketuntasan.

Abstract

The results of tests conducted by PISA and TIMSS expose that students’ mathematics mastery in Indonesia included in low category. The students show difficulties in processing their thought and solving problems to understand mathematics concepts. By then, this study aims to analyze the students’ thinking process in solving mathematics matters. The researcher identified clearly and in detail about Self Regulated Thinking (SRT) for some students who had succeeded in solving math questions. The research design applied in the present study is case study. The data and data sources are the results of data test for eight grade 15 years old students. The results showed that the students basically have skills in monitoring their own thoughts, determining appropriate problem solving plans, identifying and using the existing learning sources, providing responses or feedback, and evaluating the effectiveness of their own actions. The students also expressed different styles in implementing self regulated thinking (SRT). Accordingly, mathematics teachers need to design mathematics lesson that provides opportunity for students to express and improve their thinking skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi lingkaran kelas VIII, 2) untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi lingkaran kelas VIII. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi experimental design. Sampel yang diambil adalah dua kelas yang memiliki kemampuan rata-rata sama dengan jumlah sampel 62 siswa. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan soal tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Analisis data menggunakan teknik uji-t. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa 1) terdapat pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi lingkaran kelas VIII, hal ini terlihat dari nilai t.hitung > t.tabel yaitu 3,002 > 2,000. 2) besar pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi lingkaran kelas VIII adalah 0,8 atau 79% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi.

Abstract

One of the impacts of the Covid 19 pandemic is that learning is carried out online so that applications have sprung up to help students solve math problems, as a result students' problem-solving skills are reduced. In addition, the Student Worksheets that has been used so far only contains routine questions, not HOTS questions. For this reason, it is necessary to develop HOTS-based worksheets to improve problem solving abilities. The purpose of this study was to describe the process of developing valid, practical and effective HOTS-based worksheets on Trigonometry material in improving problem solving skills for class X SMKN 3 Boyolangu Tulungagung. This research is research and development called Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Sampling used purposive sampling method and the 2 classes selected were Class X Electronics Engineering 4 as the experimental class and Class X Automotive Engineering 4 as the control class. Based on the results of the validator, the responses of educators and students, the results of the research in the form of HOTS-based worksheets on Trigonometry for class X developed using the ADDIE development model were declared valid, practical, effective in improving problem solving skills.

Abstract

This study describes the effectiveness of the Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) model to improve students' academic abilities in mathematics classes. Many studies suggest that the ability of Indonesian students to solve problems is still relatively low. Students are not allowed or encouraged to optimize their potential, develop reasoning and creativity, thereby causing the knowledge provided to be less meaningful. The success of this study was determined through three effectiveness criteria. This research design used by giving assignments to students. Assignments were completed using strategies chosen by students. The task is reflected and then evaluated. This process is carried out in the mathematics class. The class chosen is a 7th grade mathematics class with statistics and Opportunities. The three criteria are (1) the average mastery of teaching materials students meet the KKM, (2) student activities according to the syntax of the SRL Model, (3) students' responses to the learning of the SRL Model are Positive. The results of the application of the SRL model that has been done. First, students are able to complete the category very well. This is evidenced by the achievement of the average score of Mastery of Teaching Materials above the KKM score. Second, student activities are in the active category. This is indicated by the average score of the observers during the four meetings included in the active category in learning. Third, students' responses to learning have been positive.

Abstract

All aspects of life, including the education system, have undergone many changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We need media that can facilitate and attract students to carry out learning activities. This study aims to develop GeoGebra-based mathematics learning media. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The research was carried out at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Mathematics Study Program in semester 3. The research subjects for the small-scale field test were class A, which had 32 students; for the large-scale field test, there were 132 students in Mathematics Education 3rd Semester. The results of research on the development of GeoGebra-based learning media in the Flat Analytical Geometry course for students majoring in Mathematics Education at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung were declared valid, practical and effective. The future hope for developing similar media is to expand the scope of the material discussed because the media developed is limited to flat analytic geometry operations.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran TTW terhadap motivasi siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Tulungagung, (2) mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran TTW terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Tulungagung, (3) mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran TTW terhadap motivasi dan hasil siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Tulungagung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Eksperimental Design. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Tulungagung, dengan teknik purposive sampling, sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VII-K (kelas eksperimen) dan kelas VII-J (kelas kontrol). Pengumpulan data berupa angket motivasi dan tes materi aritmatika sosial, serta analisis datanya menggunakan uji MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,019 < 0,05 sehingga H1 diterima, maka disimpulkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran TTW terhadap motivasi siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Tulungagung, (2) nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga H1 diterima, maka disimpulkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran TTW terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Tulungagung, (3) nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga H1 diterima, maka disimpulkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran TTW terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa MTsN 2 Tulungagung.

Abstract

The research objectives were to: (1) Know the validity (2) Know the practicality (3) Know the effectiveness, the results of the development of guided discovery-based student worksheets to improve critical thinking skills on flat sided space material for class VIII MTsN 1 Blitar. In this study using research and development methods (Research and Development / R D). The model used by the ADDIE model consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Based on the product development steps, the ADDIE model is more rational and more complete than other development models, one of which is the 4D mode. The location of this research is at MTsN 1 Blitar. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of validation, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis techniques and quantitative data analysis techniques.The results of this study consist of: (1) The results of the validity of the product validity of teaching materials in the research and development (RD) assessment of media experts are indicated by the validity levels of 82% and 70%. Meanwhile, from the assessment of material experts, the level of validity is 81% and 73%. Both media expert and material expert validation test showed that the product met the validity criteria. (2) The results of practicality seen from the student response questionnaire used, obtained an average value of 84.4% so that guided discovery-based worksheets can be said to be practical. (3) The effectiveness is seen from the students' post test questions, the results of the analysis conducted in the experimental class showed an average score of 88.53 while the control class had an average score of 77.41. This shows that students who use LKPD with guided discovery learning approach have higher learning outcomes and are able to improve critical thinking skills compared to students who do not use LKPD with guided discovery learning approach.
