Abstract

Accreditation is a significant marker of school performance, influencing its competitiveness both nationally and internationally. This paper examines the role of the principal in improving accreditation at MTsS Ulumuddin, using a qualitative research approach. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The primary aim of this study is to explore how the leadership of the principal contributes to enhancing the school’s accreditation status. The findings emphasize the principal’s efforts in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, fostering collaboration among teachers, students, and parents, and cultivating a culture of teacher reflection. These strategies directly contribute to improving the school’s accreditation. Additionally, the principal ensures the integration of technology in the learning process, customizes the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students, and manages the school budget efficiently and transparently. By focusing on these areas, the principal drives the achievement of higher educational standards, which is essential for improving school accreditation. The study underscores the importance of strong leadership in advancing educational quality and accreditation, highlighting the principal’s proactive approach in aligning school operations with national standards and goals. Overall, this paper demonstrates that effective school leadership is a critical factor in improving both the accreditation process and educational outcomes. Abstrak Akreditasi merupakan penanda penting kinerja sekolah, yang memengaruhi daya saing baik secara nasional maupun internasional. Artikel ini mengkaji peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan akreditasi di MTsS Ulumuddin. Menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan status akreditasi sekolah. Temuan penelitian ini menekankan upaya kepala sekolah dalam menerapkan kurikulum merdeka, mendorong kolaborasi antara guru, siswa, dan orang tua, serta menumbuhkan budaya refleksi guru. Strategi ini secara langsung berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan akreditasi sekolah. Selain itu, kepala sekolah memastikan integrasi teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran, menyesuaikan kurikulum untuk memenuhi beragam kebutuhan siswa, dan mengelola anggaran sekolah secara efisien dan transparan. Dengan berfokus pada area ini, kepala sekolah mendorong pencapaian standar pendidikan yang lebih tinggi, yang penting untuk meningkatkan akreditasi sekolah. Studi ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya kepemimpinan yang kuat dalam memajukan kualitas dan akreditasi pendidikan, dengan menyoroti pendekatan proaktif kepala sekolah dalam menyelaraskan operasional sekolah dengan standar dan tujuan nasional. Secara keseluruhan, artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan sekolah yang efektif merupakan faktor penting dalam meningkatkan proses akreditasi dan hasil pendidikan. Abstract

Media sosial saat ini merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan dalam bermasyarakat modern. Penggunaan media sosial yang tidak bijaksana oleh peserta didik dapat menimbulkan berbagai masalah, terutama dalam konteks Pendidikan. Kegiatan edukasi dan sosialisasi dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Tuppu Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Pinrang pada Hari Kamis, 22 Agustus 2024. Kegiatan ini meliputi 4 (empat) tahapan antara lain koordinasi, Persiapan Kegiatan, Edukasi dan sosialisasi, dan Post Test. Peserta pada kegiatan tersebut adalah guru dan siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tuppu serta mahasiswa KKN UMPAR khususnya Kelurahan Tadokkong Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Pinrang. Penyampaikan materi dilakukan oleh Mahasiswa KKN UMPAR bimbingan Usman khususnya Bagian IT Posko 6 Kelurahan Tadokkong yaitu Muhammad Al Qadri. Materi edukasi tentang efek negatif social media terhadap remaja meliputi depresi terkait penggunaan social media, ketergantungan terhadap social media, pengguna adiktif. Selain itu materi juga memuat tentang penyalahgunaan media social, dampak negative social media masa kini dan dampak negative jejaring social. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa edukasi dan sosialisasi dampak negatif penggunaan media sosial pada remaja sangat penting dilakukan  untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dan dapat menjadi solusi untuk mencegah terjadinya penyalahgunaan media sosial pada remaja khususnya siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tuppu.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the factors that support and hinder students' reading interest, as well as to find out strategies that can increase students' reading interest.  This study aims to understand how library management influences the reading culture among students, as well as the benefits of implementing library management for students. This research uses a literature review method, which is a systematic approach to collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing literature relevant to the topic of library management and its impact on student literacy. The research results show that maintenance and care of library materials influences students' reading interest. Therefore, the library organizational structure needs to manage the contents of the library, such as classifying each book and arranging the books neatly, as well as caring for and maintaining the books so that they remain suitable for reading. Furthermore, the literacy movement in schools does not only involve reading and writing, but also includes thinking skills according to the stages and components of literacy.

Abstract

Speaking skill (maharah kalām) is a key indicator of success in Arabic language learning as it requires the integration of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and communication fluency. However, learning in madrasahs and Islamic boarding schools often focuses on receptive skills such as reading, resulting in relatively low oral communication abilities among students. Previous studies indicate that the main obstacles stem from monotonous teaching methods and the lack of interactive media. The storytelling method is considered a potential solution, as it encourages students to listen, comprehend, and retell stories creatively, thereby enhancing motivation, enriching vocabulary, and fostering speaking confidence. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of storytelling in improving maharah kalām, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and formulate an integrative learning model suitable for the educational context in Aceh. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through library research. Data were collected from journals, books, and relevant research reports published in the last ten years, and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results reveal that storytelling effectively improves maharah kalām by strengthening vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar within a complete discourse context. Supporting factors include relevant story content, teacher competence, availability of learning media, and a conducive learning environment. Inhibiting factors include limited time, varying student abilities, and insufficient teacher training. The novelty of this study lies in contextualizing storytelling for madrasahs/pesantren in Aceh and integrating it with a gradual reinforcement of linguistic elements. Further studies using experimental or action research designs are recommended to empirically validate the model’s effectiveness.
