Abstract

Concrete is an important aspect of building construction, one of which is road construction. Concrete is used for road construction because it has the advantages of high compressive strength, easy maintenance, ease of formation, and easy to obtain components. Road construction using concrete is applied to the reconstruction of the Kebumen South Ring Road, where the Kebumen South Ring Road is a 9.07 km long national road. National roads are arterial and collector roads in the primary road network system that connect provincial capitals, national strategic roads, and toll roads. Therefore, construction on national roads requires strong and good materials on the Kebumen South Ring Road to optimize road use. In this study, the concrete is composed of Bima cement as Portland cement, coarse aggregate from Kebumen, fine aggregate from the Progo River, and water from drilled wells. The admixture was obtained from a Conmix HK 2. Subsequently, all ingredients were mixed using a mixer truck. The concrete mixture was molded into cylinders and blocks. In this study, the average results of the 5-day concrete compressive strength test were obtainedwhich is 373.42 kg/cm2 and 28-day-old concrete is 442.32 kg/cm2. The average result of the 5-day concrete flexural test is50.65 kg/cm2 and that of 28-day-old concrete was 60.73 kg/cm2. The results are in accordance with the general specifications of the Bina Marga, namely, 45 kg.

Abstract

Improving the capacity of village government is a strategic step in realizing sustainable development oriented towards community welfare. Pejengkolan Village, Padureso District, Kebumen Regency, as a developing village, faces challenges in planning, managing, and implementing participatory and sustainable development programs. These challenges include limited knowledge of village officials, a lack of understanding of village development regulations, and weak coordination between the village government and village institutions and the community. This research/activity aims to strengthen the capacity of village government officials by increasing knowledge, skills, and understanding of the role of village institutions, particularly the Village Consultative Body (BPD) and Village Community Institutions (LKD), in the development planning process. Capacity building for local government officials is considered a crucial step to ensure sustainable development at the village level. The method used is a participatory approach through training, focus group discussions, and technical assistance. This participatory approach not only improves technical skills but also strengthens collaborative values among stakeholders. The results of the activity demonstrated an increase in village officials' understanding of village development regulations, their ability to develop inclusive development plans, and the establishment of synergy between the village government, the Village Consultative Body (BPD), the Village Funds (LKD), and the community. Furthermore, this activity demonstrated a shift in mindset among village officials toward more transparent, accountable, and responsive governance to community needs. Good governance at the village level is a fundamental element to achieving long-term community welfare. This effort is expected to serve as a foundation for strengthening village governance, which is able to address the dynamic needs of the community and encourage sustainable village development.

Abstract

The community service activity conducted in Pejengkolan Village, Kebumen Regency, was part of the 2025 Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata or KKN) organized by Universitas Ma’arif Nahdlatul Ulama (UMNU) Kebumen. This program focused on both environmental conservation and community empowerment through socialization and the planting of longan (kelengkeng) trees. The stages of the activity included awareness sessions for the villagers about the ecological and economic benefits of longan trees, proper planting techniques, and effective maintenance strategies to ensure productive growth. In addition, a direct planting activity was carried out collaboratively, involving KKN students, local authorities, and community members. The active participation of the villagers, demonstrated through their enthusiasm in both the socialization and the practical planting sessions, indicated a strong commitment to the program’s sustainability. Through this initiative, the community not only gained new knowledge about longan cultivation but also developed motivation to harness their village’s potential in an environmentally sustainable way. The continuity of longan tree maintenance is expected to generate long-term benefits, providing ecological advantages while also offering economic opportunities for the people of Pejengkolan Village.

Abstract

The recent technological developments are increasingly sophisticated and easy. So that the general public is easier to use. The development of this technology, then scientists are encouraged to create a new technologies. One that is often developed is the sensor. The aim of this research is to make a light sensor that utilizes LED and LDR as its main components. This light sensor can be used as alight measurement sensor from an optical material such as a fiber optic, or something else. The LDR performance testing as a detector is done by varying the light intensity of the hitting LDR. Test results show that the LDR sensitivity used is linear to the light intensity from the light source. Arduino uno is the main component of ADC. The ADC testing is done by varying the voltage on the arduino uno A0 analog pin from 0 V to 5 V in 0.1 V increments. In this research, the straight line equation y = 1.00532x + 0.00221 and R2 = 0.99988. From the this equation, it is known that the value of y is almost the same as the value of x and linearity is almost close to 1. This shows that the ADC output is almost the same as the input voltage. Keywords: Sensor, LED, LDR, Arduino Uno
