Abstract

One of the functions of interactive multimedia in education is to support an effective, efficient, enjoyable learning process. The main objective of this study is to know how the impact of interactive multimedia assisted remedial learning in enhancing student’s physics learning achievement. This research is an experimental research with One Group PretestPosttest design. Research subjects consist of 24 students of class XII TKJ Al-Munawwariyyah Vocational School, Malang, East Java. The results showed Interactive multimedia-assisted remedial learning has a moderate impact on student learning achievement and can improve student mastery up to 25%. Through the use of interactive multimedia, most students are helped especially in understanding physics material which they think it is difficult and abstract. Salah satu fungsi dari multimedia interaktif dalam pendidikan adalah untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran yang efektif, efisien, dan menyenangkan. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pembelajaran remedial berbantuan multimedia interaktif dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar Fisika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 24 siswa kelas XII TKJ SMK Al-Munawwariyyah, Kabupaten Malang, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran remedial berbantuan multimedia interaktif berpengaruh sedang terhadap prestasi belajar siswa dan berhasil meningkatkan ketuntasan siswa sebesar 25%. Melalui multimedia interaktif, sebagian besar siswa merasa terbantu dalam memahami materi pelajaran Fisika yang dianggapnya abstrak dan susah.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi program penyelenggaran ujian semester berbasis komputer (USBK) yang sesuai dengan program kerja kepala sekolah urusan kurikulum. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan model CIPP. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pelaksanaan ujian semester berbasis komputer di SMK Al Munawwariyyah pada ujian semester gasal 2017/2018 secara umum berjalan baik dengan presentase ketercapaian 77,8%. Pada aspek proses terdapat kendala dalam administrasi server dan jaringan sehingga perlu dilakukan optimalisasi program komputer yang digunakan. (2) Tanggapan guru terhadap pelaksanaan ujian berbasis komputer adalah sekitar 88,9% guru memperoleh manfaat dari program ujian berbasis komputer karena dapat mempercepat proses koreksi dan analisis butir soal, terutama untuk menentukan butir soal mana yang berkategori mudah, sedang, dan susah bagi siswa. Dengan hasil analisis tersebut guru dapat dengan cepat memberikan feedback kepada siswa melalui remidi. Tanggapan siswa terhadap pelaksanaan ujian semester berbasis komputer adalah 44,5% siswa semakin giat belajar, 66,6% siswa menginginkan ujian berbasis komputer dilanjutkan dan lebih disempurnakan. Dilihat dari penyelenggaraan, ujian semester berbasis komputer mampu menghemat dana hingga 40,0% dibandingkan ujian semester menggunakan kertas.The purpose of this study was to evaluate the program for holding a computer-based semester exam that is in accordance with the principal's work program on curriculum matters. This research is evaluation research with the CIPP model. Data collection uses observation techniques, questionnaires, and interviews. The analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of computer-based semester exams at Al Munawwariyyah Vocational School on the 2017/2018 odd semester exam generally went well with a percentage achievement of 77.8%. In the process aspect, there are obstacles in server and network administration so it is necessary to optimize the computer programs used. (2) The teacher's response to the implementation of computer-based examinations is that 88.9% of teachers benefit from computer-based examination programs because they can speed up the process of correction and analysis of items, especially to determine which items are easy, moderate, and difficult for students. With the results of the analysis, the teacher can quickly provide feedback to students through remedies. The students' response to the implementation of computer-based semester exams was 44.5% of students increasingly active in learning, 66.6% of students wanted computer-based exams to be continued and more refined. Judging from the implementation, computer-based semester exams can save funds up to 40.0% compared to semester exams using paper.

Abstract

Synchronizing the concepts of heat and heat transfer explicitly on the competency of expertise in vocational schools still needs further research. This research focuses on the impact of discovery learning assisted by e-learning in improving Student Understanding about concept of heat, its transfer, and its application. Through the one-group, pretest-posttest design with 36 subjects of computer and network engineering students, Al Munawwariyyah Vocational School, this research was applied. The results showed an increase in conceptual understanding with n-gain values ​​of 0.79 (high) and a d-effect size of 3.01 (very high). This value indicates that discovery learning assisted by e-learning has a positive impact on increasing students' conceptual understanding from an average pretest of 39.9 to an average posttest of 84.1. Students' skills in troubleshooting CPU problems increase significantly after learning. Most students can explain the heat transfer by conduction, convection, and radiation that occurs on the CPU along with the impact and benefits of competency expertise.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana modeling instruction mengantarkan siswa menguasai konsep suhu dan kalor serta aplikasinya dalam bidang informatika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 34 siswa Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK Al Munawwariyyah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi kenaikan nilai n-gain rata-rata sebesar 0,49 (medium) dengan effect size sebesar 1,04 (sangat tinggi). Fasilitas pembelajaran modeling instruction, yang memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk memodelkan masalah, berhasil mengantarkan siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam membuat model konversi suhu, deteksi suhu berbasis Arduino, dan analisis perpindahan kalor dalam sistem central processing unit (CPU). Beberapa materi, di mana pencapaian siswanya signifikan, adalah konversi suhu, perpindahan kalor, dan analisis troubleshooting pada sistem pendingin CPU. The purpose of this research is to find out how modeling instruction leads students to master the concept of temperature and heat as well as their application in the field of informatics. This research is an experimental research with one group pretest[1]posttest design. The research subject consists of 34 students of Computer and Network Engineering at SMK Al Munawwariyyah. The result shows that there is an increase in the average n-gain value of 0.49 (medium) with the effect size of 1.04 (very high). Modelling instruction learning facilities, that allow students to model problems, have successfully led students to improve their abilities in making models of temperature conversion, Arduino-based temperature detection, and analysis of heat transfer in the central processing unit (CPU) system. Some materials, of which the students make significant achievement, are temperature conversion, heat transfer, and troubleshooting analysis in CPU cooling system.

Abstract

Understanding of system and model of the system are necessary for conducting an analysis of scientific phenomena. One concept in science that requires system is energy. This research aimed to understand how modeling instruction promoted increasing student’s understanding system and model of a system on mechanical energy material. Research was conducted on 30 students of MIA at SMAN 1 Kertosono. The result showed that student’s understanding of the system and model of the system increased significantly. Series of learning in class showed that at every meeting session, student skill increased from novice to expert. They were able to show how important the system explain the mechanism of energy transfer were. Average N-gain 0.32 (medium category) indicated that modeling instruction was good enough to promote student understanding of the system. Moreover, any misconception about energy was able to prevent and overcome by this learning. By learning, student’s skill to solve new problem had changed approaching expert problem solver. كان فهم أنظمة ونماذج الأنظمة ضروريًا لإجراء تحليل لظواهر العلوم. واحدة من المفاهيم في العلوم التي تتطلب النظام كانت الطاقة. يهدف هذا البحث إلى فهم كيفية تعزيز إرشادات النمذجة فهم الطلاب لأنظمة ونماذج الأنظمة على مواد الطاقة الميكانيكية. أجريت البحوث على 30 طالب من MIA 1 في SMAN 1 Kertosono. أظهرت النتيجة أن فهم الطلاب لنظام ونموذج النظام زاد بشكل كبير. أظهر تسلسل التعلم في الفصل كل جلسة اجتماع ، زادت مهارة الطلاب من المبتدئ إلى الخبير. يمكنهم شرح آلية نقل الطاقة. يشار إلى متوسط N-gain 0.32 (الفئة المتوسطة) أن النمذجة جيدة بما فيه الكفاية لتعزيز فهم الطلاب للنظام. علاوة على ذلك ، كان أي سوء فهم حول الطاقة قادراً على منع هذا التعلم والتغلب عليه. من خلال التعلم ، مهارة الطالب لحل مشكلة جديدة تقترب من حلول المشاكل.

Abstract

Students as the nation’s next generation are expected to master information literacy, but unfortunately, false information is still circulating even though there is a preventive program such as “Gerakan Literasi Sekolah” (or School Literacy Movement). This study aims to describe the initial profile of students’ information literacy in the global era to prepare for the implementation of the national assessment. The subjects of the study were 105 Vocational High School (SMK) students in the Bululawang District. Quantitative descriptive research was conducted to map students’ information literacy skills. The study found that the average result for students’ information literacy skill was in the category of needing special intervention with a score of 34.4. Furthermore, there was no significant difference between the information literacy skill of male and female students. Moreover, the students’ information literacy skill was divided into three categories, i.e.: 1) need special intervention (62.9%), 2) basic (30.5%), and 3) proficient (6.7%). The lack of information literacy skill was resulted from their tendency to use assumptions or intuition rather than absorbing and managing the information. Based on these data, it is essential to improve the quality of students’ literacy skills by improving the facilities, programs, and evaluation of the School Literacy Movement.
