Abstract

The rapid modernization of current concern in consumer preferences could shift from traditional markets to modern shopping center. Implementation of the revitalization of traditional market in Denpasar, is not expected to change in the preferences of consumers shopping at traditional markets. This study aims to construct the variables that determine consumer preferences in shopping to traditional markets. To solve these problems, this study performed a factor analysis to form a variable determinant of consumer preferences. Based on the results of the factor analysis found that the variable determinant of consumer preferences formed of indicator frequency of visits to traditional markets before the revitalization, frequency of visits to traditional markets after the revitalization, and the level of preference of respondents to the traditional market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of education level, gender, income, and marital status simultaneously and partially on the financial literacy level of investors in the capital market in Denpasar City. The research population is the entire community of Denpasar City who invests in the capital market, with a total sample of 100 respondents who were determined based on accidental sampling of a snowball combination. The research method uses primary data (observation, structured interviews, and in-depth interviews). The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression with those analyzed by the SPSS program. The results showed that, 1) simultaneously the variables of education, gender, income, and marital status had a significant effect on the level of financial literacy of investors in the capital market in Denpasar City; 2) partially education and income variables have a positive and significant effect on the level of financial literacy of investors in the capital market in Denpasar City, the level of financial literacy of capital market investors in Denpasar City, which is male is greater than that of female, and financial level the literacy of capital market investors in Denpasar City who are married is greater than those who are not married.

Abstract

Economic growth is an indicator to find out how successful a country's economic development is and indicates that the results of development have been evenly distributed. This study aims to analyze the simultaneous effect of remittances, foreign direct investment (FDI), and inflation on Indonesia's economic growth and to analyze the effect of remittances, foreign direct investment (FDI), and inflation partially on Indonesia's economic growth. The location of this research was conducted in Indonesia with a total of 30 observations, namely time series data from the period 1990 to 2019. The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis with the software used was SPSS. Based on the results of the analysis using the F-test, it was found that remittances, FDI, and inflation simultaneously had a significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth. Based on the results of the analysis using the t-test (partial) it was found that remittance has a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth, foreign direct investment (FDI) has a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth and inflation has a negative and insignificant effect on Indonesia's economic growth

Abstract

Domestic tourists contribute no less than foreign tourists to Bali tourism. The number of domestic tourists visits far exceeds than the number of foreign tourists, which is has a significant impact on Bali's economic growth. The prospect of domestic tourists is very large, it is necessary to pay attention and analyze the factors that influence the interest of domestic tourist revisit to Bali. Factors that attract investment, people (tourists) and industry to an area, namely; image is the beliefs, ideas and expressions that a person has towards an area; attraction marketing/attraction of tourist destinations is an important reason for tourists, investors and capital to visit a place; infrastructure marketing is the availability of facilities and infrastructure that can attract people, investment and capital; and people marketing strategy to promote the area by marketing people, for example the attitude of the community: how much openness of the local community (regional) to elements (people, investment, industry, products) from other area; Price is a number of expenses spending during visit an area, including the price of accommodation, restaurants, transportation and performances in an area. Image, infrastructure marketing, attraction marketing, people marketing, have a positive and significant effect, except that price has a positive and insignificant effect on the interest of domestic tourist revisit to Bali. Identification of variables that influence the interest of domestic tourists to be a reference for decision making and policies for related parties to develop the direction of tourism policies on Bali in particularly and Indonesia in generally.

Abstract

One of the points of the 2030 sustainable development goals is to ensure sustainable production and consumption patterns. One strategy that can be used is to consume food and non-food based on pro-environment (green product). This study aims to determine how the consumption pattern of green products from urban communities in Denpasar City. What are the internal and external factors that encourage urban communities in the city of Denpasar to consume green products? The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis which is useful for looking at the average, cross tabulation of demographic factors, internal and external factors with the choice of consuming green products from the urban community of Denpasar. The results of the study stated that the factors that became the basis for people to consume green products were 1) the desire to adopt a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, 2) health factors, 3) better quality of goods, and 4) following trends. Types of Green Products consumed by respondents include: eco bags, drinking water bottles, straws, tablespoons, bath soap, organic vegetables and fruits, lunch boxes, snacks, cosmetics, and mineral water. Public awareness of the city of Denpasar is becoming a trend in the implementation of achieving sustainable development goals.

Abstract

The life of the Hindu community in Bali cannot be separated from their religious activities and customs. The presence of Sulinggih (a Hindu priest in Bali) as the leader of the ceremony also plays an important role in religious activities in Bali. Various phenomena that occur in religious life in Bali, especially those related to Sulinggih's personal, social, and economic characteristics direct this research to examine the paradigm shift related to Sulinggih in Bali. This study aims to analyze Paradigm Changes in Personal, Social, and Economic Characteristics of Hindu Clergy (Sulinggih) in Bali. This research uses literature study and quantitative approach to describe this phenomenon. The results of this study indicate that from Sulinggih's personal characteristics in Bali, Sulinggih is currently mostly of productive age, different from those who previously generally became Sulinggih when entering retirement. From the social aspect, the changes that occur are related to the existence of various rules and prohibitions that are socially established in the community to maintain the sanctity of Sulinggih. Economically, Sulinggih's characteristics are also changing. This is related to efforts to earn income which conditions were very different in the past.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of original local government revenue (PAD), regional minimum wage (UMR), and economic growth simultaneously and partially on the unemployment rate in Non-Sarbagita Regions in Bali Province. The research method used in this research is observation with data collection through a literature study. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from BPS Bali Province related to original local government revenue, regional minimum wage, economic growth, and unemployment rate. This study uses panel data, which is a combination of time-series data (2014-2020) and cross-section data (5 districts/cities in Bali Province) so that the total observations are 35 observations. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the variables of original local government revenue, regional minimum wages, and economic growth had a significant effect on the unemployment rate in the Non-Sarbagita area, Bali Province. Partially, the original local government revenue variable has a positive and significant effect on the unemployment rate in the Non-Sarbagita Region, Bali Province, while the regional minimum wage and economic growth have a negative and significant impact on the unemployment rate in the Non-Sarbagita Region, Bali Province

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic profoundly influenced the Balinese economy and tourism industry, particularly in Canggu's growing economy. The general purpose of this research is to discover how Canggu women's career options have changed since the rapid development of tourism in recent years, as the effect of tourism downfall during and after the COVID-19 epidemic. The research objective is to analyze the internal and external elements that impact women's decision to enter the workforce. This study adopted a qualitative descriptive analysis based on the research purpose. Female Canggu Village Youth Organization members were explicitly chosen as informants for this study. The interview process findings and researchers' involvement in the field revealed that women's decision-making in Canggu Village was influenced by internal factors, such as education level and personality traits, and external factors, such as cultural customs and the influence of those closest to them. Despite the economic slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, women in Canggu Village are mainly confident that tourism will become the leading industry driving the Canggu Village economy. The findings of this study are likely to assist local governments, academics working on women's empowerment, gender equality, and sustainable tourist development, as well as other communities working to achieve sustainable development.

Abstract

This study aims 1) to analyze the effect of capital, the number of customers and working hours on changes in the business volume of culinary entrepreneurs in Denpasar City, 2) to analyze the effect of capital, the number of customers, working hours, and changes in business volume on the income of culinary entrepreneurs in Denpasar City, and 3) to analyze changes in business volume in mediating the effect of capital, number of customers, and working hours on the income of culinary entrepreneurs in Denpasar City. The research population is culinary entrepreneurs in Denpasar City. The sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling with a quota sampling approach or determined based on the allotment. The number of samples in this study was 100 samples as respondents were taken evenly in each sub-district in Denpasar City by using accidental sampling. The analysis technique used is path analysis. The results showed that capital, number of customers, and working hours had a positive and significant effect on changes in the business volume of culinary entrepreneurs in Denpasar City. Capital, number of customers, working hours, and changes in business volume have a positive and significant impact on the income of culinary entrepreneurs in Denpasar City. Changes in the business volume are variables that significantly mediate the effect of capital, number of customers, and working hours on the income of culinary entrepreneurs in Denpasar City

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is supported by the availability of excellent and diverse natural resource potential. Rubber is one of the natural products that contribute the highest foreign exchange in Indonesia. Rubber opens up great opportunities for Indonesia to export to developed countries such as Japan which is known for its sophisticated technology. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of Japan's GDP, the Yen exchange rate, and the implementation of the IJEPA cooperation on the value of Indonesian rubber exports to Japan within 24 years. The data used is secondary data obtained through UN Comtrade, World Bank, and Bank Indonesia with the type of data used being time series. The method used in this study is the Error Correction Model. The results showed that Japan's GDP and IJEPA implementation had a positive and significant effect on the value of Indonesian rubber exports to Japan, while the Yen exchange rate had a negative and insignificant effect on the value of Indonesian rubber exports to Japan.
