Abstract

Dividend policies, asset structure, company size, growth, and profitability can all impact how manufacturing companies manage their debt. The research was conducted between 2017 and 2019 with a purposive sampling method of 37 manufacturers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The debt policy is the independent variable in this study, whereas the dependent variables are as follows: dividend policy, company performance, asset structure, and liquidity. Profitability serves as a moderating variable. The findings indicate that the dividend policy alongside liquidity has a significant impact on a company's debt policy, whereas asset structure, company size and growth, and profitability have no significant impact on debt policy. The profitability variable has little effect on the relationship between debt policy and dividend policy, asset structure, size, firm growth, and liquidity. This study summarizes the importance of prudent debt management in order to avoid an imbalance of internal and external resources.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of risk management as a predictor of performance planning quality at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The study is motivated by the low Risk Management Index (RMI) score within the Ministry, which indicates that risk management implementation has not yet run effectively and has not been consistently integrated into organizational management processes. The paradox between the low Risk Management Index (RMI) and the relatively high performance planning score at the Ministry of Home Affairs reveals a gap between the normative condition that requires the integration of risk management into performance planning and the empirical reality observed in the field, a condition worthy of further examination. This research employs a quantitative explanatory approach, with purposive sampling used to select 66 Civil Servants (Aparatur Sipil Negara/ASN) who are directly involved in performance planning and/or risk management processes within the Ministry of Home Affairs. The findings indicate that risk management implementation at the Ministry of Home Affairs has not yet been fully integrated into organizational management processes. On the other hand, the quality of performance planning is perceived to be relatively good based on the perceptions of civil servants. The study reveals a paradox between the low Risk Management Index (RMI) score and the high achievement of the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (AKIP).

Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence on the effect of ESG disclosure and Intellectual Capital on the financial performance of energy sector companies listed on the IDX for 2022–2024. A quantitative causal design was applied to 22 companies selected through purposive sampling, yielding 66 firm-year observations. Financial performance was measured using Return on Assets (ROA), ESG disclosure using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) index, and Intellectual Capital using the Value-Added Intellectual Coefficient (VAIC), analyzed through panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model. Results show ESG disclosure has a negative, insignificant effect on ROA, while Intellectual Capital has a positive and significant effect. The findings indicate ESG disclosure is still treated as a compliance cost, whereas efficient intellectual capital management is a key driver of profitability in the energy sector. The global business paradigm has shifted from a purely profit-oriented focus toward integrating sustainability and intangible value-creation factors into corporate performance assessment. ESG disclosure and Intellectual Capital (IC) have become increasingly relevant non-financial indicators, particularly for energy sector companies that face high environmental and social risk exposure, yet prior studies on their relationship with financial performance remain inconsistent, and evidence specific to the energy sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in recent periods is still limited.
