Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the differences of chemical quality of fresh maggot flour processed by using sangrai method. Currently maggot flour is popular among breeders because it contents high enough protein and has potential as a substitution of fish meal which has been imported at in very costly price. This research is conducted experimental methods on April 2021. The research consists of making maggot flour and continued to chemical analysis (proximate). Maggot which is processed into flour is obtained from maggot breeders in Blitar district. Maggot is processed by using sangrai method is carried out in Dayu Village, Nglegok District, Blitar Regency. Proximate analysis is carried out at the Nutrition and Animal Feed Laboratory of the Fisheries and Livestock Service Office of Blitar Regency. The sangrai method processing produces lower moisture content (5.69%) so that it is predicted to have a better shelf life. The rough protein is 28.73%, the rough fat content is 15.79%, and the rough fiber content is 10.60%. The results are considering higher. The maggot processed by using sangrai method can be applied, but it needs to be accompanied by further researches to reduce the higher rough fat and rough fiber content, one of them is fermentation.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan manajemen pakan peternak itik pedaging di Desa Dayu Kecamatan Nglegok Kabupaten Blitar. Kegiatan ini berawal dari hasil survei tim yang menunjukkan hasil bahwa kegiatan manajemen pakan itu perlu diperbaiki. Manajemen pakan yang kurang bagus berdampak kepada produktivitas ternak. Pelatihan manajemen pakan itik pedaging perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan peternak itik di Desa Dayu Kecamatan Nglegok Kabupaten Blitar. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada September 2020 dengan peserta 20 Peternak itik pedaging. Metode kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan yaitu survei, dan pelatihan manajemen pakan itik pedaging. Data trend pengetahuan didapatkan dari hasil pre test dan posttes peserta. Berdasarkan hasil analisa diketahui bahwa trend kenaikan pengetahuan mitra terhadap pelatihan menegemen pakan itik pedaging sebesar 40%. Setelah pengabdian ini, mitra dapat mengembangkan manajemen pakan itik pedaging dengan lebih baik di Desa dayu Kecamatan Nglegok Kabupaten Blitar.

Abstract

This Holistic Village Development and Empowerment Program (PHP2D) aims to increase the productivity of broiler duck farmers in Dayu Village, Nglebok District, Blitar Regency, covering the level of knowledge, skills and income. The disseminated system is an integrated farming system between livestock waste in the form of duck droppings and wood shavings as a medium for growing maggots. Furthermore, the cultivated maggot is processed and used as one of the feed ingredients for broiler ducks. This activity is carried out for 5 months in 2020. The method used is counseling, training and mentoring. The material provided consisted of maggot cultivation, broiler duck cultivation, making ration formulations, and implementing an integrated farming system between maggot and broiler ducks. Monitoring and evaluation is carried out through pretest before the activity and posttest after the activity. The data were tabulated using excel and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results obtained are that there is a trend of increasing partner knowledge by 40%, increasing partner skills by 45%, and increasing partner income by 40%. Feed management and broiler duck farming activities based on integrated farming can increase the level of knowledge, skill level and income level of broiler duck farmers in Dayu Village, Nglegok District, Blitar Regency.

Abstract

Harga panen itik pedaging hidup ayng tidak stabil membuat keuntungan para peternak itik pedaging di Desa Dayu tidak maksimal sehingga diadakan penyuluhan tentang pembuatan karkas itik pedaging sampai dengan teknologi pengolahan itik pedaging mulai dari bakso, nugget, sampai dengan keripik kulit. Kegiatan penyuliuhan diadakan pada 22 Agustus 2021 pada pukul 10.00 WIB bertempat di Gedung Madrasah Diniyah Darul Ma’arif Desa Dayu Kecamatan Nglegok Kabupaten Blitar yang dihadiri oleh 20 orang mitra yang terdiri dari 5 orang kelompok ternak itik di Desa Dayu dan 15 orang angggot IPNU dan IPPNU. Metode aygn digunakan dalam kegiatan P3D kal ini yaitu pendekatan partisipatif dimana mitra ikut berpartisipasi algnsung dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam penyuluhan ini meliputi ceramah, pre test dan post test, serta tanya jawab. Penyuluhan ini bertjuan untuk menginkatkan pengetahuan mitra meliputi pembuatan karaks sampai dengan tekniologi pengolahannya sehingga menumbuhkan minat mitra untuk mengolah hasil panenannya sendiri dan mendapatkan keuntungan yang lebih besar. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan penyuluhan yaitu pengetahuan mitra meningkat sebesar 65% yang meliputi pembuatan karkas itik pedaging dan teknologi pengolahan itik pedaging.
